Why Assassin Heroes can't figure out Assassin skills[edit]

...is the purpose of this test. Namely, why can't Assassin Heroes can barely handle simple tasks such as Lead > Offhand > Dual, and are unable to handle complex skills such as Falling Spider.

  • Heroes can handle attack chains, but do so at a slow rate, making quick chains ineffective.
  • A Hero's response time is much to slow for skills that must hit a knocked-down foe, making skills like Falling Spider and Crushing Blow useless.
  • Heroes will not activate any skill they don't need, which can interfere with many strategies that involve pre-casting before engagement.

Currently, there are some skills Assassin Heroes can use rather effectively, and should be taken advantage of as much as possible. Other skills are the reverse, and should be avoided at all costs. The below is a list of currently tested skills.

Yes Stuff that works Yes

  • Siphon Speed Siphon Speed A Hero will use this when first engaging, and will re-cast whenever the foe attempts to move, making it an effective snare.
  • Shadowy Burden Shadowy Burden The Hero will attempt to take advantage of the armor penalty at all times, and will always re-cast this skill whenever it ends on the foe.
  • Black Spider Strike Black Spider Strike The Hero uses this perfectly on any Hexed foe. Use with one of the above Hexes.
  • Assassin's Promise Assassin's Promise is activated when the enemy drops to 33% hp, which means they always get it, unless you're too fast killing the enemy. They also don't focus on a single target but use it on all targets in range.
  • Golden Phoenix Strike Golden Phoenix Strike: They don't use it if they're not enchanted.
  • Critical Eye Critical Eye: Uses this skill the moment they engage a target, and keeps it active to the best of their abilities. A must-have for energy management.
