Zephis Naymar was a sculptor from Cantha, born in the outskirts of the Echovald forest. He reveled in life, always wanting to expeirience new things. He was widley respected among the Kurzick and Canthan artists, and his art was widley sought after when he was still at a young age of 12. His father was a kurzick general, and his mother, a kurzick feild nurse and accomplished healer. Secretly they had been aiding in a rebelion attempt consisting of both kurzick and luxon insurgents that was tryign to overthrow the warlords,a dn establish a more peacable relationship between the two peoples. As he grew up, he befreinded many of the luxons in the group, as well as a young boy named Dasin. Before one of their final attempts to stop the fighting for ever was put into action, a betrayer fled to the kurzick leaders and informed them of the plan. The rebel group was attacked, and scattered. many were captured, including both Zephis Naymar's parents, as well as Dasin's. Dasin fled back to luxon territory, and invited Zephis Naymar to live with his aunt and uncle, but he refused, saying he could find a way to free thier parents. While Dasin fled, he stayed behind, and tried to free his parents, but failed. He eventually was witness to theirs, and everyone else that was captured brutal execution. He then ran back to luxon territory, where he met and informed dasin of what happened. Heartbroken, but filled with rage, he was accepted into Dasin's family, and the luxons. He nurtured a hatred of all kurzicks for so long and so strongly that his adoptive family eventually realized how dangerous he was. They sent him to Master Togo at Shing Jea so that he may learn to control his anger and filter it into his chosen art of Necromancy.
