Been gaming since the early days of consoles, still owning a SNES, Mega Drive, N64, Dreamcast, PS2, Game Cube and Xbox, although since GW I've never gotten round to buying a PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii.

My favourite games have always been RPG's, starting with The Legend of Zelda series on Nintendo, and the Final Fantasy series (VII still the best) on Playstation, although my favourite game of all time, has to be Shadowrun on the SNES.
When I first purchased a PC I started with RTS games, Command and Conquer, Total Annihilation and Starcraft being the games I played most often, but after getting an internet connection got into the world of MUDs (Multi User Dungeons - Text based MMORPG where you had to read all the room descriptions to see if you could interact with anything to discover new things). I spent a long time playing and levelling my characters in one called Malevolence, a very original and inventive MUD, with some impressive coding and fantastic ideas, but with an ever dwindling player base as graphical MMO's started to appear. Eventually my old PC died on me, and I was forced into a short break from all things online. I got back into console gaming and pretty much continued where I'd left off, with Zelda and Final Fantasy, until eventually I bought a new PC. The first thing I did was to grab a copy of Guild Wars, and started playing with my first account in December 2005.

The Magua character name is based around my real life nickname, Maggot, which got shortened by some friends, and which I use as a first name for most of my characters. Surnames are all Single Malt Scotch Whiskies, most of which I've tried in real life. Check out Loch Fyne Whiskies for more information.

I started with one account, but when I realised I only had 4 character slots, and 6 character types to choose from, I bought another account to experience all that Guild Wars has to offer. I created all professions, and as expansions were introduced, added them to each of the Magua accounts.
I purchased a 3rd Account to play on the American Server, when the old system of favour existed (due to the early morning starts at work, I tended to get up between 4am and 6am, even at weekends, and usually America had favour), but decided not to create yet another Magua account, mainly due to the fact I was running out of inspiration for names, and in a effort to not exactly duplicate existing characters, made all the American account characters female.

My favourite characters are my Rangers and my Warriors. Guess I just like things simple really, bit like real life.
