Growing up in Ascalon, I once dreamed of becoming a great actress and mesmer like Lady Althea. I had even hoped to become her apprentice and understudy. She was to have chosen her next after her wedding, but the Searing changed all that. Like many, I lost family and friends in that day of fire. Some, though, like Nathel, still live, more dear to me now than then. I will not lose them again.
