Targeted Audience: For people who don't understand why self heals suck in general PvE(non-farming, non-specific sc clear builds etc).
Self heals are bad in PvE:
- Loss of focus: Your henchmen should concentrate on smashing your targets, not spend 2-3 seconds attempting their self-heal every time their health falls below ~70%.
- More damage taken than healed: In the later parts of PvE, mobs hit for at least 60 per skill/spell/autoattack. Please do the math, and know that your henchmen fights 5-6 mobs on average, and that's easily 100-200 damage while using their self-heal. Your henchmen will be far better off knocking, interrupting, killing, or relying on party members dedicated to do the job they are failing hard at.
The whole point of a self-heal: To provide self-sustainability when operating away from passive-defensive characters. Not to relieve pressure. The amount of pressure relieved by self-heals is outweighed by the fact that your opponents are able to put more pressure on you since they are taking less pressure.
