Vannik Dorogao[edit]

Vannik knew from a young age that he was different from his brother and sisters. While they each choose the path of violence he found himself unable to strike out against anyone. His parents Mykan Dakariss (Warrior / Elementalist) and Lokania Dakriss (Ranger / Elementalist) were frustrated at their youngest child for his reluctance to weild a sword or bow and strike out against another. Nonetheless they still sent him to the academy where he was to learn the ways of fighting. It was there that he coincidently; or perhaps it was more destiny that anything else, met Azumarina Nubik (Dervish / Mesmer). The two, instructor and student, soon began to form a relationship as friends and eventually it began more than that as the two fell in love with each other. After his first year being at the academy as was customary for all first-year students he choose his profession. He knew that the profession he had decided on was not what his parents would have wished for him but he did not care. At the profession ceremony he choose to follow the path of a Dervish and have Azumarina as his teacher. Through his studies under her protective and lucturing hands that there would be times that he would have to strike out against foes; but it was once all peacful things had been tried and after prayers had been said to the gods. He was pleased to know that he would still be able to live by his pacifised life. Then one day while Azumarina was out during one of her ritualistic walks she was attacked and killed; due to the fact she had left her scythe at home, by a flock of harpies. The death of his beloved and his teacher angered Vannik and saddened his heart. In response to her death he began to feel hatred for the winged beasts. At the end of his third year at the academy he announced that he would take on the path of a Necromancer as his second profession and wanted to be under the guidance of Bujihan Sajat (Necromancer / Elementalist). It was during this time that young Vannik became obsessed with trying to learn how to ressurect a person from the grasps of death. He wanted to bring back to life the corpse of his beloved and first teacher, Azumarina Nubik. Yet to no avail all he was able to summon was creatures made of flesh and bones. After he had mastered the basics of both Dervish and Necromancer professions he graduated at teh top of his class and was prepared to start his adventures and learn the real skills of each profession. While out adventuring he has discovered that the world is not peaceful and once must fight to survive. Yet he still refuses to fight just to fight and only raises his scythe to protect his friends and fellow Elonains; he has even protected his own siblings. He still has not let go of his dream to bring back Azumarina and he knows one day he will learn how to raise her from the dead and perhaps even how to stop people from dyign altogether.
