[edit] Reviving Paragons (in PvP)

Paragons are seeing very little use in PvP, and in the early stages of PvE (where the group maximums are 4 or 6), Leadership can't always keep up with their use of skills requiring Energy. To remedy this, I'm proposing a buff to their Leadership attribute functionality:

Leadership Attribute

  • You gain 2 Energy for each ally affected by one of your Shouts or Chants (maximum 1 Energy for every 2 ranks).

With this, Paragons would become more viable in smaller groups (GvG splits, TA, AB, RA, CM) but they wouldn't notice any difference while within earshot range of 8 allies.

I've also several ideas for Paragon skill buffs (among other professions) here, although the implementation of all of them would evidently make the profession overpowered, and some buffs may be too drastic.

One skill update that I'm stressing is Signet of Return:

  • Resurrect target party member with 50% Health, 10% Energy, and an additional 2...6% Health and 1...3% Energy for each party member within earshot. Reduced activation time to 4 seconds.

This would also make Signet of Return's use much more acceptable in every form of play, because resurrecting an ally during a near-wipe - only for them to die again due to their low health and energy - is anything but fun.

These updates, of course, would be but the first of many to reintegrate Paragons into common play, with new and original builds.
