Me and Guild Wars, so far...

I started, as it recently turned out, in the 1st week of May 3 years ago. I joined a guild that i had previously played a lot of other games with as i knew a lot of them fairly well and got on with them. They were the New Republic [NR], and they did a lot of stuff including some great GvG matches and some fun HA and HoH matches. But, with the majority of the the player base been American, there were times when i was on where i couldn't find anyone to group with. So a year passed, and after selling my Mini Necrid Horseman for 50K, i decided to go wondering by myself for a bit on the EU servers, which then required a use of a server switch, a limit of 5 which i eventually used up.

So whilst wondering around EU servers i played with people but couldn't really find a guild i could settle into, the players been either mentally retarted or so ego-centric it was unbelievable. Then [NR] asked me back as they wanted someone with some experience in how they play GvG matches, so i switched back to US servers. This lasted for about 3 months, when the few EU players in the guild decided to branch of and make an EU guild that could be part of an Alliance with [NR], Factions having come out. This didn't last very long.

So off i went again, wondering. I eventually found Stewards of the Ancient Rites [STAR]. Now here seemed a fun guild that i could get on with, and i did happily. for almost 6 months i played with them happily, taking the piss out of them all and helping where i could. But they didn't play too much GvG and, at the time this is what i wanted to do. So i decided to go EU once again and try to find an GvG guild. This only lasted several months and while i'm grateful that i could spend time with the guilds and people i did and all the help and experience they gave me, i missed the "companionship" and easy feeling i had with [STAR].

So back i went, for the last time. And while they are not really a GvG guild, it is fun. And i, as a player, have found enjoyment in doing titles on my main character. And now, i want to recruit more EU time zone players to the guild so i'll have more then 2/3 players to group with without having to stay up all night.
