Location: New Zealand
History: I've been an avid gamer since about the age of six when I was mesmerised by a large black box (surrounded by a group of fascinated kids) that made various bleeping and chirping noises. It turned out to be the original Space Invaders. Many games and a couple of software retail jobs later I found myself in the small and challenge-hungry gaming community of Realms Beyond where I found like-minded players who not only observed similar no-cheating views as myself, but actually took things a step further to play self-imposed handicaps to make games even harder.
My first foray into Guild Wars came with a friend pass into a Beta Weekend Event, which actually didn't impress me enough to want to buy the game. Ironically with a number of my RB contemporaries buying into Guild Wars I soon caved in and bought the game about three weeks after release. Guild Wars has grown on me since then. From those humble and somewhat disinterested beginnings I've since been converted into a full-blown recreational player and have found my way into the Guild Wars Alpha Test. Who would have thought?
