HA! Now this is a real challenge of my likes. Rotscale sent me back to ToA and I didn't knew about Balthazar's blessings... there was no favor of gods by the time so I wouldn't be able to get them anyways. After reading all the talks I find it stupid to display great achievements when people use Pain Inverter, Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support and Sniper support. There must be a way to kill it with only Core & Prophecies skills and without cons...after all its just a Prophecies foe.
2013 July, and the first time I see this one...how odd.
There are so many things that are not said neither on Majesty's Rest nor Rotscale pages...
- When the World has no favor:
- Frozen Soil has a 5 seconds activation time, so any resurrection skill that takes less time can rez an ally before another spirit is ritualised.
- Rotting Dragons can be killed by just stacking conditions on them, any ranger with just a single effect will slowly put them down. Better if he/she has 2 or 3. As long as you protect that ranger with bonds and protective prayer spells, you can dispatch all Rotscale escorts before striking down the boss.
- As with all bridges and stairs, ranged attacks will be obstructed so its wise to rush behind Rotscale and then force it to escape downstairs, allowing you to take height advantage.
- Easiest way to reduce impact from Deafening Roar is by disabling it, e.g.: Distracting Shot.
Key skill combo for my victory was the 8 health regeneration sum from Ward Against Harm + Swirling Aura... imagine if I had Balthazar's blessing too.
