Consume Soul[edit]

Just wanted to let you know I left a response to your revert of Consume Soul on the relevent talk page. - Tanetris 12:13, 5 July 2007 (UTC)

Ok, I'll go take a look. -- ab.er.rant sig 01:13, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

User Ban[edit]

hi i just got ban for swearing and selling stuff on chat but the person who told u was swearing to why should i get ban and he ant and loads of people swear on it and sell stuff on chat why am i the only one to get done im going to complain about this if it a sorted out because i was not worned about this stuff hope u can help and there is loads of poeple that sell thing on chat what are u going to do ban them all??? from Me Da Man nathanjbackshell@hotmail.com The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.30.107.79 (talk • contribs) 19:43, July 6, 2007 (UTC).

If you were banned on the wiki, please post the user name or IP that was previously banned so that it can be investigated. If you were banned in-game, no one here can assist you with that. The wiki is administered by users from the fan community. To contact ArenaNet, please use the Guild Wars support site. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 20:01, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
Please don't swear and spam selling messages, that's against the rules and policy. And yes, it will seem unfair that you're being banned and others are not. But do try to understand that they are also human, so you can't really expect them to ban every single offender at one go. It's like real-life - you can't expect the police to be able to catch all the bad guys in one day. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:46, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

RFA[edit]

I've nominated you for a sysop position per the guidelines at GWW:RFA. Please indicate a clear acceptance or refusal of the nomination. You've consistently been a trustworthy contributor, and I believe you would be good for the position. —Tanaric 21:13, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

nomination?[edit]

I thought you were running for bureaucrat in the upcoming election... did you pull out? I've seen your name so frequently on the wiki I was sure you were... anyway, just curious. Love your user page and contributions! -- Jeni 05:34, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks so much! I didn't pull out of it. That was the previous elections, and a well-deserved Dirigible got the post :) The election notice is actually another election, due to another bureaucrat's terms coming to an end. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:42, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
GAH! Thanks for mentioning that ~ I sort of had a little leave of absence and when I came back I thought 'wow, that's still going on?' Think you would have made a terrific bureaucrat, but can't complain about Dirigible. Off to check the new nomination phase... - Thulsey Zheng - talk 03:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Region infobox[edit]

I myself do not know how template's work but I noticed on the Ascalon pre searing page there was a problem in the continent paramemter where it is showing -)) after the first parameter. I saw that you had edited today and not sure what is broken. Figured I would give you a heads up so that it can get fixed. --Sktbrd341 22:08, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Skill description corrections[edit]

I'm maintaining a list of every skill on GWW that differs from the in game description and how it is different at [2] and am mentioning this to everyone that reverts one of my changes ;) Cloud 21:33, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

AVT and duplicate tabs[edit]

You might want to take out the lines addPortletLink("p-cactions", "http://wiki.guildwars.com/index.php?title=Special%3APrefixindex&from=" + username + "&namespace=2", "Userspace", "", "List of pages in this user's userspace");" and addPortletLink("p-cactions", "http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Special:Contributions/" + username, "Contribs", "ca-contrib", "User contributions");

They're good stuff (yay, Diri!), but they're duplicated by AVT (I found them useful enough =P). You'll have duplicate tabs. MisterPepe talk 04:11, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks! -- ab.er.rant sig 06:13, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

Talk:Guild_Wars_Eye_of_the_North#Price.3F[edit]

The discussion about languages there came dangerously close to descending into a flamefest, so just as an advice, if someone post something that offends you, it is usually more fruitful to post on that persons talk page apart from the topic at hand to stop the two issues from being mixed up and one interfering with the other. Somehow people seem to be more responsive to posts on their talk page as well. --Xeeron 12:08, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Yea, you're right, I should've known better than that. It's just... I'm get so... annoyed... I suppose at a certain user's comments. It's just me, I'll have to watch myself more carefully depending on who I'm responding to. And as a side note, you might want to take a look at said talk page - not very responsive. -- ab.er.rant sig 14:37, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Fully agreed, nothing is perfect, but as the above lines show, posting on a users talk page has a good chance of being reasonably heard =) --Xeeron 15:07, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Quick question[edit]

Where is the monster template? I need to put one here but have no idea what the code is for it. File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 04:08, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

NPC infobox and Guild Wars Wiki:Formatting/NPCs. - BeX iawtc 04:12, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Use the NPC infobox. I think the Stygian Overlord has two different professions so you'd need to create a disambiguation page. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:13, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
EDIT: Underlord, not Overlord. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:14, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
disambiguation page... Yeah whats that? lol. BTW the other profession would be a ranger. File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 04:15, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Yeah I saw. Sorry I'm kinda noobish at this, lol.--File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 04:21, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
That picture wouldn't happen to be the one from the GuildWiki would it? Tomoko's image can't be directly uploaded here, Tomoko hasn't realised their edits under the GFDL... Do you have your own screenie of it? --Xasxas256 04:22, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
No problem at all. Everyone goes through a learning phase. And yea, if it's from GuildWiki, u need to check if the original uploader released their contributions under GFDL, otherwise you can't copy over. -- ab.er.rant sig 04:23, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
I thought it was resolved that all in game screens were property of ANet and not the people who capped them... --Rainith 04:25, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Actually it was from GuildWiki. I guess those images are out of the question huh? File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 04:30, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Is that written down somewhere Rain? I mean not to undermine a fellow sysop but I dunno, Aberrant is some kind of crazy editing machine shaped like an octopus except he's got multiple ears and they're all on the ground!! --Xasxas256 04:36, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Gasp! You've seen my true body!!! You must be terminated!!! Lol
Anyway, Rainith, I don't know about that either. So far, I just keep checking for GFDL on the uploader's page (on GuildWiki) and copy only if I see it (and credit them during the upload). -- ab.er.rant sig 04:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Sorry I don't have a link to the conversation. I thought it was discussed either with the copyrights discussion or the image use discussion, but I can't say for sure. --Rainith 04:56, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

You can't. Only sysops can delete them. It's been tagged for deletion already so it'll get deleted sooner or later. I just mean that if you want to continue using the image, you should re-upload the image under a new more appropriate name. Thanks. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:29, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Dael's stub[edit]

that's right, that poor girl has no hands. Seriously, though, there is a missing map in the info box so do you think it should remain a stubbed article for now? I'll defer this to you as you are the master of consistency! - Thulsey Zheng - talk 08:25, 27 July 2007 (UTC)

Ooo... my itchy fingers got me into something again :P but anyway, personally, imho and all that, a stub article is one where there are obviously important content missing, so I would stub NPC articles with missing location or missing collector items, but I'd usually ignore the image. To me, a map is a helpful tool to complement the location (I usually give brief directions when I write the location). So yea, I don't think that's a stub. But feel free to re-add the stub since I know that most of the other stub articles are like that... hmm... in fact, why don't we have a map needed to go with image needed? -- ab.er.rant sig 09:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Was thinking of a map needed, actually... Was also thinking of some way to include location categories in the template as well so it could be something one could reference before going into a certain explorable area, for instance. Would love to be able to walk out of town, hit the wiki and find out what's needed in the area. Any thoughts on a clean but useful way to do that which wouldn't break something else? - Thulsey Zheng - talk 04:27, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
I'm not 100% sure I got what you mean. Are you saying we should try to add categories to the "image needed" and "map needed" templates should that it makes it easier to find out exactly what's missing for a particular location? If so, then I think it's a good idea too, it should help encourage ppl to take screenshots. But what I'm unsure of is how to get that done with requiring additional parameters to the template though, especially when certain things like creatures appear in more than one location and the location values are not always correct or up-to-date. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:30, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, that's exactly what I mean and those are the types of problems I was hoping you would bring up. I'm wrapping my head around that right now. ^^ - Thulsey Zheng - talk 05:35, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Hmm.... I'm thinking it might be possible to edit the npc infobox to automatically add the appropriate categories if the image or map doesn't exist, but that would only enable a region-based category. It might also be troublesome because you'd have to check whether any of the map image parameters are actually displayed or not though. -- ab.er.rant sig 06:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

*Point to image needed now with a nice map parameter* I don't know if this was what you needed, just wanted to make sure you know about it :) - anja talk 08:53, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks :) That's one of the things that's needed. Thulsey was wondering whether there's a way to further divide the image/map needed categories by location, to make it easier to lookup what screenshots are missing for a particular location. -- ab.er.rant sig 08:59, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank You[edit]

I'm new to wikis and you replied really quickly, but when i changed it to User_Anti_Oath_Slay, it stopped working like before. I requested the thing on skill info too, thank you <3 (ps your user page is beautiful!) Anti Oath 03:51, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Sorry!!! I missed your comment. Regarding the image, the reason why it stopped working is because you used the skill infobox directly. That template (used for all the skill pages) automatically assumes that the icon is named exactly the same as the "Name" value. So, when you renamed your image without changing the skill name, it won't be able to find the image. I actually responded to you here: Image talk:Slay.jpg. It looks like you're trying to use a main space template in your user space, so you should first post a message at Template talk:Skill infobox explaining that you would like to be able to specify an icon name that's different from the skill name, to get other people to respond and comment first. (Ask me again if I'm not being clear enough). And thanks for your compliment! :) -- ab.er.rant sig 09:06, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

Mission articles[edit]

Saw that you did quite a good bit of work going through mission articles, so I thought I'd mention Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Mission articles here, which serves as an overview article for the "state" of mission articles, including a whether those are stubbed or not. --Xeeron 09:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Yea, I know about that project, but I was mostly removing stubs and adding redirects. The project doesn't really define what a stub means, so I just see a stub as missing important sections; meaning I removed the stub from mission articles that already has info and the baddies and a walkthrough. -- ab.er.rant sig 11:38, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
I always went by: Crossed out entry = not a stub. --Xeeron 12:07, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Want me to go back to stub them again? I'll go through my contributions again later, I'm about to head out soonish. Oh, btw, I also unstubbed missions that are not in that project though. -- ab.er.rant sig 12:11, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
Nah, I hoped that you could cross out mission entries when you unstubb them, so the project entry is up to date. Sorry for being unclear. --Xeeron 12:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Need input[edit]

Not sure how to handle this. Terra copied stuff from guildwiki and i let them know about the licensing. I also pointed out that they used the same walkthrough for the quest Barradin's Advance but changed a little of the wording around. Terra then left a message on my talk page here User_talk:Sktbrd341. Some "fun" over at guildwiki[edit]

You may find it beneficial to ban 203.206.2.26 off of this wiki. Consider his vandals, and notice their very first edit at 19:57. I hope I do not need to elaborate why such a person should not be allowed to use either wikis. It's likely they have a registered account here, but I'm sure you or another could track them down via their IP address. --8765 03:38, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

My bad, didn't know this existed here.--8765 03:43, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
No problem. Could you post it there? I seem to be having some network or ISP issues right now and I can't access GuildWiki or google... but strangely, the official wiki works. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:45, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Yo[edit]

I know, I know I seem like a bad person, but really I'm more of a technical person, and I have nothing against you. So please consider my thoughts, before ignoring me. I am defending a valid case, and I would like for you to open your mind for a moment. Maybe yes it came off as arrogant and uneducated, but believe me, man, you completely misunderstood my first post on your draft. So if you want, you can head back there for my final thoughts on the issue, and see to it that you appologize to that girl for making her use the larger of the fonts tested on your oh so precious draft page. Later. Laura Brinklow sig 04:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I have responded to your latest comment on the draft talk page. Actually, you don't seem like a bad person from the recent talk pages I've seen you on, so I am puzzled as to why you are so antagonistic towards me. I have nothing against you either and am tying to respond calmly. I am considering your thoughts, which is why I replied to you in the first place. You did not come off as arrogant at that point, but you did come off as ignorant. I was under the impression that you did not fully understand the current signature policy. Which is why I tried to explain why I believe that Alexia's signature was in violation. On that talk page, if you had started the whole thing off by saying that you do not believe that 10pt affects anything, things would've gone off in a much better way. But could you re-read your first comment? I interpreted your words to mean that you are accusing me of taking the policy into my own hands and twisting its meaning. Note phrases like "making up the rules" and "don't make things up as you go along". At that point, I was trying hard not to lash out in response.
But your second response made things clearer as to the reason you got so angry in the first place. I believe you were simply trying to say that 10pt is not affecting anything? If you are, you did not state that clearly in your first post on that draft. To me, it was a simple case of: "Alexia's signature increased the font-size" and "Policy states that <big>" is not allowed. Am I wrong in believing that it implies "no making fonts bigger"? Perhaps I am, but I was interpreting with the knowledge of what went on during the formulation of the policy, in that many users do not like signatures that stands out too much from the surrounding text. Was I too strict in the interpretation of the policy? Perhaps I am. You realise things would've gone on with much less friction had you came straight to my talk page and questioned me about my notice on Alexia's talk page instead of insinuating that I am twisting the meaning of the policy on the draft's talk page. Which, I again reiterate, that I was not trying to do. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:31, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
And another I hope to clarify (in case you misunderstood) is that the draft proposal was simply a rewording from the existing policy, it's not something I came up with all by myself (as part of Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Policy Cleanup too, I'm hoping). -- ab.er.rant sig 05:41, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

I made a huge comment and it got punk'd because of edit conflict :( is there a way to get that back? Because I would hate to waste 1000 words Laura Brinklow sig 05:53, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Oo... the only way is to hit the "Back" button I'm afraid... (but your edits appear at the text box at the bottom of the conflict page) btw, I've added a new discussion section to the draft talk page in which your input would be much appreciated. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:56, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
If you're using firefox it usually saves the text if you have it under the back button. Some browsers don't. But yes, if you do get an EC it's at the bottom of the page anyway. - BeX iawtc 06:03, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Thank you :) I will proceed to make my suggestion on that page. By the way, I know how you feel about the tactic I used to get your attention, and I'm sorry that I did. I understand why you took it wrongly, and hope that all is cool with us. I seen the new draft page section and I'm glad you see what I'm seeing now :) Thanks again for giving me the opportunity to join the crowd. Take care :) (LOL 2 edit conflicts in a row ! ) Laura Brinklow sig 06:06, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
Sorry. :P - BeX iawtc 06:08, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
(edit conflict too...) Good to hear :) And you don't need to thank me, I don't have the ability to prevent people from joining in a discussion. The whole idea of the draft is so that anyone could just add what they think of it to the talk page and after discussion and agreement, we adjust the draft as needed. -- ab.er.rant sig 06:10, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Help appreciated[edit]

After your work on Template:Datediff I was wondering if you would mind lending some assistance with a template I'm trying to make. I'm trying to make a template that will stamp just the date (Day and Month only) on a page without updating. The aim would be to add this information into a table recording the loot from the treasure chests (see User:Tasha_Darke/sandbox for the table in its current state). I'm a little lost as to where to start. If you, or any of the other helpers could spare some time lending their expertise, I'd be very grateful. hey bro i apreciate your help earlyer but one more thing...i forgot my account and the e-mail i used is old and its inactive....what should i do to get a new account? like do i have to buy a new game? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Zaphel .

That's gonna get tricky. Do you remember the email you used for your account? If you do, you might still be able login. And when you do, first thing you do is update your email. But if you don't remember the email you used... well, you can try sending a report to Anet's support and see if they can verify your true identity and dig up your personal information and account. If you have an account with NCsoft's support website, it should be possible. Otherwise, might be difficult to your account back. Good luck! -- ab.er.rant sig 03:04, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... just remembered that you can't your email. Send a report to Anet telling them about the inactive state of your email address and see if they can help you rectify the problem. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:07, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

image redirects[edit]

Since they're all user images personalized to you, have you thought about redirecting the icons you use on your userpage (for characters/sandbox/talk, etc) to the respective pages? Right now it's a bit counter-intuitive to have to click the text, and not be able to click the giant image beneath the small text. Template:Inactive guild[edit]

Should it really be 180 days? Isn't it still 1 month waiting after it has been tagged. The tag cannot be placed before 6 months, but after the tag is placed, there is one month to remove it? Or did I read the policy wrong again? - anja talk 12:01, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I suck at math :P so... it's 150 days instead? I figure we don't really need to be very exact about it. -- ab.er.rant sig 16:34, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
30 days. 180 days is 6 months (roughly), but those 6 months have already passed when the inactive guild tag gets placed on the article, then they get 1 month from that date (quoth the policy: "Pages tagged will be deleted after 1 month from the tagging date."), so the tag should reflect only 30 days. - Tanetris 17:03, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
I already changed it back. poke | talk 18:08, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

"mistaken delete tag due to image cache issue". What's cache issue? I put on the delete tag because it wouldn't update on my Marketplace page for some reason.--§ Eloc § 03:27, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Yea, I know, are you still seeing the stats box? I'm seeing the actual weapon already. Try hitting Ctrl+F5 to refresh it. Sometimes when you re-upload an image, the cache doesn't refresh properly and it's a while before you see the new image. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:28, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Well I see it now. Before, I saw the image on the actual page and the real page but not on my User page sub page. You get what I mean or this all gibberish to you?--§ Eloc § 03:32, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
I understand, it's like that for me and others too. It's a little cache issue with the wiki software. After a while, the image will get refreshed and you'll see the correct image. -- ab.er.rant sig 03:35, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

User Sigs[edit]

How do I make one of those little user sig things everyone has? And where do I save it so it automatically is added when I sign a comment? Nbajammer 02:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

You have to upload your own 19x19 icon and change your preferences. GWW:SIGN has the details for how to do this :) See if that helps. -- ab.er.rant sig 02:24, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I get a general idea of how to do this. Except, Im a complete newbie. What I'd like is a small version of the Monk icon for my picture. I've added my nickname to my preferences. Where do I go from here? Nbajammer 19:36, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Preferences, change "Nickname" to: Nbajammer, activate "Raw signatures". Upload an image to Image:User Nbajammer sig.jpg, and add #redirect User talk:Nbajammer and user image to the page. poke | talk 20:06, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
Do I add those as I would when I uploaded the pictures of my characters? If so, appreciate it Poke. Once I can upload my resized Monk icon to that link I'll get that up. Should the redirect go to my page or my talk page? User Nbajammer sig.jpg Nbajammer 21:00, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
You can choose yourself. Most people redirect to their talk page as they already have a link to the userpage.. But do whatever you want. And yes the user image template is the same as for normal user page images.. poke | talk 21:06, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Nowrap[edit]

Have you tested those templates with Opera? Previously some users were getting errors because of the nowrap tags. See here: Template talk:Rare materials nav. I posted this on one of the other templates you changed but you didn't respond there. - BeX iawtc 09:31, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Whoops, I didn't watch most of the navbar templates. I don't have Opera installed to test, so feel free to revert or fix it. And I'll refrain from using the nowrap span then. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:36, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
I didn't have Opera installed to test either, but now I do, and at least with the newest version it is working correctly! Of course, I find this out after removing it from a bunch of templates... Oh well, I don't think they really needed them anyway. >_>
I'm going to start readding it to the materials navs so that it scales properly for all users. - BeX iawtc 05:06, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Wohkay then. They don't really absolutely need them, but I think it would be a nice touch for long names to stick together, like some outpost names. -- ab.er.rant sig 05:17, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
I think the way they are used in the location nav is more useful. The ones I removed them from were making whole lines not split which would suck for people that browse at small resolutions I guess (horizontal scroll). - BeX iawtc 05:21, 27 August 2007 (UTC)

A couple of undels[edit]

Hey, Aberrant. Was wondering if you could restore these two articles you'd previously deleted, if possible:

Both have a bit too much content to be nuked, in my opinion. As soon as they're back up, I'll reformat them with infoboxes and such. Cheers. --Dirigible 04:57, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Opinion on bureaucrat candidates[edit]

I don't know how much it will count, but as one of those who voted for both Tanaric and Xeeron, you may want to give your specific preference at Guild Wars Wiki talk:Elections/2007-08 bureaucrat election#Deciding of winner. I would like to see if we can reach a consensus by August 26 23:59 UTC. If not, your preference might (or might not) also be a factor in ArenaNet's final decision. Thanks. --Rezyk 20:35, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Norn or Norns[edit]

Norns, Norn. *shrugs* Since it's already being used, I'll just go with it then :) -- ab.er.rant sig 13:28, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Articles for every rune?[edit]

Since you made the articles, I'll ask here. Isn't it kind of silly and repetitive? Some of them are even copy and pasted with incorrect information (major rune with blue rarity) that no one will fix cause nobody will visit those pages. --68.106.220.146 09:16, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Since you visited, did you fix the problematic ones? Yea, perhaps they're not very useful, but I simply did what someone was trying to do. Feel free to merge them all into one article with perhaps a table of runes. All the existing pages can then redirect to it. The page names should still exist because then when someone searches for the full name of a rune, they will at least find a page or redirect for it. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:52, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Me and Bex are kind of working on a way to merge them a bit. (GW:EN is slowing things down now) You can see the proposal over at User:Anja Astor/Projects/Runes. :) - anja talk 11:13, 31 August 2007 (UTC)

Deletion[edit]

Hi Ab.er.rant! I noticed that you deleted a lot of things this night. Note that you are violating the deletion policy when deleting images/pages without a deletion tag or without following the 3days period correctly. I recommend that you use the list of candidates for deletion and only delete the things which are highlighted. Thank you! poke | talk 07:22, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

If you are referring to images like this one: Image:User Finn Xrystal.jpg, it was a speedy since Aberrant reuploaded them with correct names and replaced them for the user. Apart from that I don't see any questionable deletions. :) - anja talk 08:36, 13 September 2007 (UTC)

Images in Templates - Help[edit]

Hey I didn't know where to ask this question and you are one of the helpers so I thought I might ask you. The image codeing text doesn't seem to show up in the info box - This seems intentional but I don't know how to change it. I'm sure I used the wrong words to describe what I mean so I thought I would use the example which brought me to ask. On this page; http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Half_Moon, the image file requested for the infobox is missing and it creates a very messy long message which throw the whole page out of alignment. Simple fix is to upload a proper image and use it however, I do not know how to "edit" the image inside the infobox because when I go to the edit tab for the page, the image coding text does not show up, so I can't change it to halfmoon.jpg or whatever it should be and just upload an image. I know how to replace an image while one is already there but I can't fix this or change the extension of a requested image from .png to.jpg within infoboxes. Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Dancing Gnome 02:07, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Upload the file with the filename the infobox specifies. - BeX iawtc 02:29, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
The infobox gives the message "Error creating thumbnail: convert: unable to open image `/home/httpd/gwwiki/home/gwwiki/en/images/5/54/Half_Moon.jpg': No such file or directory." I don't know how to upload a file unless it's in the form of a link which links to nothing with red text indicating the missing file, which is what I usually come across. Normally I just click on the red text and it brings me to the file upload page which is easy. Dancing Gnome 04:23, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
The image was corrupted so I deleted it. Try uploading a new one now. If you want to access an image, just go to http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image:name.extension - the default for weapon infoboxes is the page name in jpg. - BeX iawtc 04:29, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Why...[edit]

Because I am being told by all the vocal users on this wiki that I am basically a "***ing piece of ***" and that everyone who has been disrespectful and harrassing to me during my tenure here pretty much had every right to do so. There is a HUGE vacuum of trust between me and this community right now. Nothing will go unchallenged. No right that I perceive is mine will go unattained. I don't believe my views are represented, I don't believe my rights will be protected for me by others and I don't believe there is anyone out there who will care if my rights get trampled over. How I got to this state of mind is all over the wiki, you've been witness to much of it. Justified or not,I am at this state of mind and we'll just have to see where that takes me (I expect it to be nowhere pleasant).

I know this is not what you were hoping to hear, but I felt I owe you an answer to your question on GWW:NOTICE. --Karlos 09:30, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
