Surge in Presearing

Since you were kind enough to stop in at my talk page, I wanted to return and check yours out as well. I noticed a surge yesterday in presearing playing as the Baron. People were very new, asking how to activate EotN and where the heroes were located. I did my best to answer them, but I soon went charr hunting for Blazefiend Griefblade with a ranger. After I got back, I noticed I was kicked into district two!! Yep, district one was full. Later in the evening I was on as Dirk up in Umbral Grotto when again I was surrounded by many players. I can't say I'm the best person to ask. GW2 went on sale a little while back, which might have had a knock-on effect... It occurs to me that if they know about heroes already, they probably know people who already play the game. And hello again, welcome to my page! It was probably because people bought the Guild Wars Trilogy while its price was recently 50% off on Steam (from 5 September to 7 September) http://store.steampowered.com/news/14328/ and were creating new Prophecies characters. --Silver Edge 05:04, 8 September 2014 (UTC)

Well I didn't even know they offered it on Steam. That was a great deal $15 for the trilogy. I recall my son's spent about $50 per game $150 for the trilogy plus all the additional content, costumes, etc.. I think they blew about $300 to $400 each. Of course they played it since 2008. NPC stubs (open question)

I've been having a go at getting back into editing over the last few days, and I decided to look through some of the stub categories to find things that needed doing, but I'm coming across quite a few NPC stubs which don't seem to me to be missing anything major. Several of them are enemies which don't have their armor ratings listed - should they still be considered stubs in this case? And as a secondary question, how does one go about collecting these armor ratings in the first place? - Alexis Toran (talk) 14:58, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

What an odd coincidence that I decide to check my watchlist today for the first time in a long time, and find my way to this only-a-few-days-old post. I de-stubbed many NPC pages several years ago that weren't missing anything. People tend to add it when they first make a page and no one wants to be hasty in removing them, so the stub tags tend to last long past their usefulness. I don't know if things have changed since I've been here, but I wouldn't consider missing armor ratings to be worthy of a stub tag. It's nice supplementary information, but not essential. I got pretty much every creature recorded except some special bosses, pre-searing, and generic bosses. You're welcome to add your own findings if you wish, of course, but I don't think it's keeping any page a stub. Manifold 02:18, 19 February 2018 (UTC)

Zendeht's skills

Hey Alexis Toran,

you've updated all the skill trainers' pages. Got a question regarding Nightfall trainers: You were using two accounts, right? And were you therefore able to advance with your skill checking character without getting any of the heroes? Since those missions and quests which require a certain hero should be doable if the second character's got the hero, right? But then you noted on Zendeht's page: He offers all non-elite core and Nightfall skills that are not guaranteed to be unlocked during the Nightfall story. which implies that wasn't possible?!
