New weapons for HoM[edit]

I dislike this idea immensely as you have laid it out. If any other weapons should be added to the HoM, it should be inscribable Zodiac weapons that are only available from the end chests in the Factions elite missions. The point of HoM weapons are that they are difficult/expensive to acquire and are unique in appearance and that they represent a relatively extensive achievement in the game. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 13:03, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your answer. --Anvar Le Barbare 14:05, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
I agree with the Deldrimor. No need for the Keeper of Secrets one, as for Factions - make it either Zodiac or Celestial and have a crafter in the end of Urgoz/Deep *for Urgoz, coming from the end portal after Urgoz's death - never beat the Deep so dunno how to figure out a crafter there*. Zodiac would be better than Celestial or the end-game gold versions. I disagree with Wyn only on the idea of having them from the end chest only - as that is too variable and would be more work with changing the HoM. Overall I don't think this idea would be implemented *or any other ideas to the HoM* because of the April update - could be that they want to change as much as possible and leave it alone afterwards. But I could be wrong. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 18:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

New Competitive Mission, The Jade Road[edit]

A New Competitive Mission, The Jade Road because it took me long to heart and I loved the mission of Gyala Hatchery. I made sure, in my ideas, that the gameplay is balanced on both sides. For scenario, I thought at the Silk Road hence the name of The Jade Road. To raise the adrenaline of the players, nothing like an escort mission. Indeed, the mission of Gyala Hatchery was considered as the mission the most difficult of Guild Wars Factions and it can always be. So much for my opinion on why and how. I leave you to discuss the following and do not hesitate to give your ideas to improve the gameplay of my basic idea. --Anvar Le Barbare 17:01, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Sounds interesting, but far too much like the mission, and too much work to be done. Linsey has said that making a new area needs about 20 people to do - and is too much for the Live Team as it is. So +1, -2. -- 18:50, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Add news PNJ for Guilds Halls[edit]

I disagree with the consumable guy - The consets are annoying enough, and the first and last crafters can be merged into one. IMO, only the stuff that is not reputation-rank requiring *i.e., allow Perfect Salvage Kits, Stars of Transference, Scrolls, non-rep summoning stones* should be GH craftable. While it would make things easier, it is also not necessary, but if it is possible to make it so you can only craft the rep items *summoning stone and conset items* if you rank *like making the rank a money requirement - instead of how it is done in EN* - then I agree with adding those 8 items. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 18:56, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Summoning stones price and title[edit]

No to the title, ??? on the "po", and I wouldn't mind a reducing in cost for the craftable stones. Would also love to see an Igneous and Golem summoning stone crafter. I'd love to have a Fire Imp by my side past the level of 19. -- Azazel The Assassin\talk 18:56, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

New Summoning Stones[edit]

How about adding:

--Falconeye 22:35, 28 April 2009 (UTC)
Craft-able Stones exist per alligance:
  • Vanguard: Devourer
  • Norn: Kvendulf
  • Deldrimor: Ooze
  • Asura: Raptor
  • Luxon: Siege Turtle
  • Kurzick: Juggernaut
  • Balthazar: Random Zaishen NPC.
All of them have something in common: All are part of factions that have titles. The rest are all acquired randomly, from quests, as drops or created by gifts or using the /bonus command. So I think that if any more stones are to be added as craft-able items, they should correspond to allegiances, and better if the have titles:
  • Sunspear: Random Sunspear NPC. One per Sunspear model. They can all be seen in Churrhir Fields. They are the ones with the sun logo in their clothing.
  • Lightbringer: Forgotten.
  • The Shinning Blade has no title, but Prophecies would be left out and that's not good. I'll give them a Maguuma Centaur or a Maguuma Spider.
Any other should be acquired as drops, so I'll add:
  • Add an end-chest in Tombs. Grasp of Insanity.
  • Turn the titan missions into a repeatable elite mission. Titan primary form that won't split upon death), depending on area:
    • Burning Titan. Desert, rocky and lava areas.
    • Snow, urban and coastal areas: Frost Titan.
    • Grassy plains, forests and jungle areas: Rotting Titan.
    • Areas in the Myst (Realms of the Gods, anguish, etc): Titan Abomination.
  • Add one for the Anguish: Margonite Patriarch.
  • Add one for Duncan's Chest: Stone Summit Arcanist
Hm... yeah, that should do it. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 21:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

Discussion from Linsey's Page[edit]

moved from User talk:Linsey Murdock
Took the time to read your suggestions. I think the invoker title is a really nice idea, but check Linsey's FaQ on new titles. At any rate, very nice idea. I also wholeheartedly support reducing the cost of summoning stones - they are VERY COOL and i never use them, because they're just not cost effective. A summoning stone with material costs works out to 2-2.5k, which is more than, say, a grail of might (approx 1.5k in player prices). Grail has a much bigger game impact, and is also more reliable (can't die). So PLEASE LINSEY, i know you have a lot on your plate, but don't let such a cool idea as stones die because of bad pricing. And the invoker title is very nice too btw, but that would require a bit mroe time investment on your part, and i know THAT resource is scarce :) 189.33.71.83 19:02, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
i like this idea of a new mission, but what for kurzick's? will there be a reverse way for kurzicks to carry jade (depending on who controlls the most area of the luxon/kurzick lands) ?--Robot 20:27, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
The Invoker and the Merchant of Consumables would be selling PvE-only items, which I don't think belongs in a Guild Hall located in the Battle Isles, a PvP area. Those PvE-only items are also not supposed to be accessible until your PvE char reaches the respective area and attains the required title, so it would be very hard to code the NPC's you envision to check whether the character has access to the said items, and kind of interferes with them being PvE-only. A fireworks master sounds reasonable, though. User Rose Of Kali SIG.jpgRose Of Kali 22:18, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
Also, adding new titles is very unlikely at this point, as it would make it easier to aim for GWAMM and will create the same fury as it did with Zkeys and Treasure points not being retro-active. Reducing stone prices a little bit is not unreasonable, though. And adding new weapons to the monument of valor is just downright crazy. I've heard the discussions and pleas and the begging etc/etc, so please don't repeat them here. Be glad they added Tormented weapons to it, but don't ask them to add cheap weapons after doing that, it's not going to happen, and would piss off a lot of people who have already worked hard on their valor displays using Destroyer and Tormented, only to find out that now it can be done for a fraction of the cost. Also, very very many people out there, including myself, are completionists, so now you basically would tell them to go get 33 more weapons to fill their monument again. If this was done from the start, at the release of EOTN, it might have worked, but now it's just too late for such a fundamental change. Anvar, you might be interested in This statement from Bobby Stein. If I were you I would not be expecting any kind of feedback or comment from anyone at ArenaNet regarding game suggestions as they are limited by legalities from doing so. It is also listed Here (bottom of the page). --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 10:42, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

A couple of the new summoning stone ideas would compromise the storyline. Being able to summon a Forgotten, Terrorweb, or Afflicted would make no sense, lore-wise; the Forgotten are an intelligent race in their own right, Terrorwebs are servants of Dhuum, & the Afflicted are mostly humans.
