EotN blessing pages

Hey Balwin, I noticed you were making some changes to the blessings pages for the bounties in EotN. First, the gradient should be 1-5 (1+4=5), if you use a gradient. I'm not sure it is appropriate to use a gradient, though. The actual blessing does not change as you make kills. The rank ups are bonus blessings, but the original blessing still reads the same. I'm not going to revert, but we might want to get some input on this. Mohnzh say what? 14:09, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed there are actually other pages already dedicated to the rank up blessings, so I am certain that a gradient should not be used. The reasoning is that, for example, Norn Hunting Party wil always be +1 rep per kill, regardless of how many rank ups you have. The other blessings add on to it, but do not change it. Just wanted to let you know what I was doing before changing it back. Mohnzh say what? 14:13, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
I know that and I'm not sure if the gradient was appropriate, but the other pages for the differnt ranks of the same blessing are toptally nonsense. They are not needed, because they provide no usful aditional information. So I'm in favor to sum everything up in one page, like the other EoTN blessing already have. But if you have one page, I think it would be good to inform, that reader that the points increase with the increased rank. Balwin 15:26, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
I halfway agree with you. I'm starting to feel like they are pointless. But then again, this is a wiki, not a guide. So is the goal to be thorough and have a page for every blessing, NPC, useless dialogue, etc., or just to provide the information that people find useful? So even though it is pointless, I do think it is appropriate to have a page for each one. Right now, Norn and Asura both have pages for each rank up (I created the Norn pages). The other two do not. I'm not attached to the spearate pages for each rank, but I do think they ought to exist for the sake of completeness. I am in total agreement with you that the main pages should have all the pertinent information, however. Mohnzh say what? 15:47, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
The Norn blessings existed as redirects, which I think is a good way to cover the different ranks. If someone searches for the information of a specific rank he will be redirected to the main page of that blessing and find all information. Only the Asuran blessings had separated pages for the different ranks and I feel strongly, they are pointless. And I disagree with you, that this wiki is about to have a page for every entity existing in the game. For me it is about having alle information about every entity in the game in a appropriate way. Do you think it would be good enough to have the different ranks as redirects to the Blessings subsections of the respective main page? Balwin 06:51, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I think the redirects would be a fine way to go. I quit making the other pages until we decided what would be the best route. I think to improve the pages, though, we should not use the gradient for the reasons above and point out somewhere that the rewards are different in hardmode. Sound good? Yeah, sounds good to me. Balwin 06:40, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

I do like the ideas behind the changes you made (I agree it needs a little more to it as far as images) but see the talk page for my suggestions, if you would. --[-Kyoshi-]::[-Talk-] 09:47, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
