Old GuildWiki stuff

Please becarful want you moved stuff from guildwiki. you have taken stuff that was added from other user and one anon that didn't release it to public domain.Aratak 00:36, 8 February 2007 (PST)

What Aratak said: you need to clean out anything that you didn't do yourself unless they other contributor agrees to license their stuff under the GFDL. In addition, please add a notice to your GuildWiki user page stating you release your work under the GFDL so that we know you're just not something claiming to be Drizzt. Remove the copyvio template from the two articles after you do so. --Fyren 00:39, 8 February 2007 (PST)
Added stating at User:Drizzt_Du_Urdeen. BigBlue 01:05, 8 February 2007 (PST)
Deleted all foreign content and added it to the related discussions. Furthermore notice on GWiki article's discussions. BigBlue 01:26, 8 February 2007 (PST)

Main page

Edit as much as you want in my mainpage copy, i've got no problem :) Just dont touch anything else, that's work in progress ;) -- Scourge 00:54, 11 February 2007 (PST)
Thanks. If you need any further help - contact me. As a media computer science student i have some knowledge in ergonomy and other design related things. :) BigBlue 00:55, 11 February 2007 (PST)

World of Tyria

Good to have the old guildwiki still around =)

Hope this convinces you: Tyria (world) --Xeeron 07:30, 12 February 2007 (PST)

Sorry, I beg your pardon. Ok, let's name it "The world" or better "Guild Wars universe" or "Guild Wars world" ? BigBlue 07:35, 12 February 2007 (PST)
All are fine for me, I just needed another word for "maps", which was not a correct header for town & outposts. --Xeeron 08:09, 12 February 2007 (PST)

Location vs. Outpost

Hi, regarding your change from "Outpost" to "Location" following the GuildWiki style, there is currently a discussion (although unresolved) going on regarding the use of "Location". "Location" was seen as misleading as it is not really the location in some cases. -- ab.er.rant sig 20:16, 5 March 2007 (EST)

I recognized this problem yesterday. I pretend the same naming as in GuildWiki. Furthermore {{Location_Info| title = NAME}} uses the same expression for outposts! BigBlue 04:19, 6 March 2007 (EST)

Gaile news

Hey BigBlue, I am removing your post from Gaile News. This article is a place for official announcements from Gaile Gray directly. It is free to edit so that we can wikify the article, not so that we can add to it. LordBiro 09:20, 6 March 2007 (EST)

My apologies, I've overlooked this. BigBlue 09:33, 6 March 2007 (EST)

Map of Tyria

Where did you get this image from: Image:Tyria-world.jpg?? -- Scourge File:Scourge.gif 06:09, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Attention - the current and the one of Steve Costa are not mines! 18:15, 12. Feb. 2007 was made by myself and uses the maps provided by anet for this wiki (see Cantha, Tyria, Elona) BigBlue 06:34, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
Yeah I just reliased that then, if you check the talk page we're trying to assess where and what those images are :P -- Scourge File:Scourge.gif 06:38, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
Oh ok. :) Just use my (older) image, the current lacks the Battle Isle. And mine has smoother edges. BigBlue 06:41, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
The Steve Costa one was uploaded to GWiki by User:Santax here I'll have a dig around and see what I can find Fox 06:46, 13 March 2007 (EDT)
His page has a {{GFDL}} tag. I requested an official image from anet (see User talk:Reaganwright) BigBlue 06:50, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Future Feature in Lucky

I think that {{future feature}} has been placed in Lucky because that Lockpick information is something for the future. I don't know wether to place that future feature right next to that information or leave it - Lock pick is marked with future feature. - MSorglos 05:41, 26 March 2007 (EDT)

Then I would make a separate paragraph (heading) for this lockpick. In this form everybody thinks the Lucky title track is unimplemented. BigBlue 05:52, 26 March 2007 (EDT)

Gaile's notice

Hey, I noticed you moved the notice on Gaile's talk page. I know you were just trying to improve it, but Gaile put the notice below the TOC herself. I've reverted your edit, and I recommend you ask Gaile's opinion on moving the notice :) Thanks! LordBiro 07:00, 13 May 2007 (EDT)

Notoc on upcoming changes and features

May I just ask.. why? :) - anja talk (contribs) 10:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

I think the article should be a small, clear overlook for upcoming features. Because of that (and ANet wouldn't develop many features at one time) it would not grow to a size where somebody really needs a toc. There is no need for many headings, we have our categories, which will never change. Besides, the TOC took too much place, I needed to scroll everytime I looked at the article. Maybe we have to discuss to delete or move the "Recently changed" section, as it has nothing more to do with upcoming changes and features... --BigBlueMonk 20.png talk 17:15, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

hours per day

Sorry for the mess and made you work on category. the '/' thing wasnt very nice and i shouldnt have come up whit this naming at first place. --Bob 11:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Np. At least we have a nice statistic in this wiki now :) --BigBlueMonk 20.png talk 11:26, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
I am glade somebody like the idea. After seeing the flooding i did in recent change i feel terrible. --Bob 11:37, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Babel Boxes

Hey! Could you edit your Babel boxes to show the language abbreviations in lower case (i.e. DE-N = de-N and EN-4 = en-4)? That way you will be categorized in the right place with everyone else :) --Lensor 17:23, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for mentioning. Fixed. --BigBlueMonk 20.png talk 17:57, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Translation taskforce, latest edit

Lieber BigBlue.

BigBlueMonk 20.pngtalk 07:53, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
Oh, okay. Gut, dann habe ich wohl den selben Fehler gemacht wie der Übersetzer. Sorry. :) ~ dragon legacy 09:19, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

German Translation Task Force

:) BigBlueMonk 20.pngtalk 08:00, 2 October 2007 (UTC)

trance

hi blue. where do you know that trance is a game mechanic? i saw this in an old thread, showing "new skills". Mantra of Recall was typed with "Trance". Cursed Angel said that he had also heared of this and meant that it was supposed to be sth like Upkeep enchantments. —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:05, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

I don't know exactly what it was/is. But Upkeep is a game mechanic (permanent enchantment which is causing -1 energy regen), so Trance must be a game mechanic, too, like Evade was. BigBlueMonk 20.pngtalk 13:14, 1 December 2007 (UTC)
Oh, whoops, right. Forgot that Skill Type simply is a sub-cathegory of a game-mechanic, right? :) —ZerphatalkThe Improver 13:41, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
Mantras were trances instead of stances. Worked the same. Trances had infinite duration, but cost energy each time activated, something you still see in some mantras. Backsword 13:48, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
