OK chances are nobody will ever see this... I'm putting it here anyway... feel free to comment if you find it...

I have my HoM to where i want it and you can't take what you have in GW with you to GW2 as far as I know... besides 35 seems fitting. Ghostly Hero? huh... I would even take Dumb and Dumber as heros in GW2.

Many people spend their time grinding away at getting everything full in the HoM.... yes free stuff is good but grinding isn't usually... then u have things like Anti-farm code and Loot scaling saying "Huh? we never intended people to farm/grind"

Ummm... how do u got Obby/vabbi, 15 weapons, and all those titles maxed without farming? Maybe buying the mats/war supplies from another player, but I'm pretty sure they probably farmed them.

A-net says we need them all for HoM points then punishes people for doing what they can to get them? I'm not too sure how that makes sense

You should create a "rants" section to post the above as in User:Durp da durp/Rants. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 17:42, 27 October 2012 (PDT)
That would imply i kno how to create subpages xDDurp da durp 22:41, 2 November 2012 (UTC)
Maybe a jokes subpage too? Q) Why aren't there heros or henchman in GW2? A) They never had kids because they all died from being aides. xD (coming soon the the gem store.... Hirelings contracts)Durp da durp 10:02, 4 November 2012 (UTC)

Chunk_of_Drake_Flesh#Mehtani_Keys[edit]

Do you think you could re-write the walkthrough to fit your map and replace the older one? User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 17:42, 27 October 2012 (PDT)

I suppose so. Its pretty similar. Avoid the skale on the way to the first spot (or kill some so drops start while on the way). I usually used spirits as bait to get past the blighter group just past spot 1. From there you can slip between the Corsairs to get to #2 then from there to #3 theres nothing in the way. Heading to #4 theres the big group of skales near the drakes but its a variable spawn point for them and its really 2 groups. Most times you can find a path without aggroing the skale or kill a few to get some fins for soup when nick want it or the picnic. It avoids the mandagor too so no dealing with that annoyance. A bow helps for pulling drakes at #4 cause sometimes they are kinda in with the skale. Feel free to rewrite it with proper grammar because mine sux. As far as a build just about any spirit spam works easy, but I've done rampages thru n00b istan on many classes. Its so low lvl there just about anything should work.Durp da durp 22:37, 2 November 2012 (UTC)

cny sjm stack[edit]

Concerning User:Durp da durp/cny sjm stack, in case you didn't know, there is already a guide to farming Lunar Tokens at Lunar Token#Efficient order for gathering 150 Lunar Tokens. --Silver Edge 23:53, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Yeah i know... it says to do them somewhat independantly and to grab the items on one character for others to use. I did it that way years ago and since i started doing them with this pattern my luck with minis from fortunes has been better. Usually first was 40-50, 2nd was from the next <100 of them, 3rd took ~120. Abt 3 from one stack usually. Yr of rat i only did a couple characters. Turtle as well. I got one pf each. 3 tigers, 3 bunnies, 5-6 ox, 5 dragons. Used to be 12 char. Its 2 accnts now and well over that number. Guildmate in my alts guild has 2 accnts as well. 3 other members in my mains guild and the one in my alt have previously gotten cele pets free from me. As i said it is a stack. I didn't say fastest was the goal... and blah blah blah superstitious mumbo jumbo. There's the faster pattern on the wiki, this is just my slightly slower pattern based on my luck over the past 6 years.Durp da durp 00:39, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Hello notice a message...[edit]

I read the message you left here on Alex's talk. I am Wendy, I recently made this simple page for a guild member Simon of Aragon after he sent me a lot of huge screenshots and told me he wanted something "zen like". Also I started these wiki members out but they went their own way after I got them up and running Monk Key Ma Nu and Inti Melch Eye both have been in the game since 2008 and also joined my guild. I am willing to help you too, no obligations just check out my pages and get some idea what you want as a start up user page. Visit my Laboratory it is very educational. --Wendy Black 00:30, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

LOL... me and education never mixed very well >.< I still wish i could figure out how to make a "this wiki user is with stupid" userbox that 'stupid' redirects to their own userpage xD (not calling ppl dumb but face it most ppl do dumb stuff sometimes) Thank for the offer tho and maybe if i'm bored i might attempt it.Durp da durp 00:43, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

Expert salvage research[edit]

I don't know the precise total number of weapon skins there are in the game, but is likely that not all of them will have data input by players, they might have not found interest to report it here in the wiki. If you get to find a talk page without a table, you can just copy / paste this:

== Expert salvage research ==
<!-- trophies or stackable salvage items, such as Lustrous Stones -->
Expert salvage research for {{SUBST:PAGENAME}}
{| {{STDT}}
! Material || Amount || Signature
|-
| [[MATERIAL]] || Amount || ~~~~
|}

or

<!-- non-stackable salvage items, such as Plagueborn armor -->
Expert salvage research for {{SUBST:PAGENAME}}
{| {{STDT}}
! Material || Amount || Rarity || AR || Value || Signature
|-
| [[MATERIAL]] || Amount || Rarity || AR || Value || ~~~~
|}

Do not forget to use either Charr Salvage Kit, Expert Salvage Kit or Superior Salvage Kit for chance to obtain rare materials. The research doesn't use the normal salvage kit since it won't give the opportunity for rares.

You can find more guidance in Guild Wars Wiki:Formatting/Items. There also is a Project you could join: Guild_Wars_Wiki:Projects/Drop_research which has no contributor listed for weapons and armors. The main page used to contain a lot of outdated instructions with obsolete templates and old practices that are currently overridden. Instead of making users read several paragraphs that will have no use at all, I prefer a clean start. At some point I am planning to write down an opinion about the GWW as how this community forgot to transmit its traditions to new generations of wiki-ers and left us abandoned ruins instead, but thats another matter. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 10:00, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

It had the rare mats chance, it was a superior kit. I'm going to take a guess the wood chance listed happens uncommonly and plant fibers more often... and i guess they are as 'rare'(read as 'expensive') a salvage item as ever comes from those staffs. Q12 SR's value was 350g or so, the q13 insp was about 210g. Is rarity needed for these? Doesn't it only drop as gold? It's dungeon end chest exclusive and Eldritch Chest only its not like Oni(NPC) drop them. Durp da durp 14:44, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
My monk is based off my sister who is a vegetarian so she wields a caster modded q11 divine favor one thats caster modded. I probably won't salvage that one. I stand by that filename 18.187.1.68 03:51, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
I didn't mean to have a poor tone with the image on your talk page. However the comment on the farming talk for chunk of drake flesh was posted within a day or 2 of the rewrite and new image and did say who it was. The wiki was giving me a socket error that day. My isp was fubar for 6 months after the blizzard halloween a couple years ago and only got fixed after over 6 months of tech support trying to fix a physical problem remotely from 1000's of miles away. 56k modem speeds on a 7mb line grade F- compared to the rest of the USA by speedtest was common. 31.172.30.4 03:57, 12 March 2013 (UTC)
It was oddly fun that halloween. Most of the NE USA had no internet. I was killing charr in dalada with a 3000ms average ping and lagg spikes of 180,000ms (3 minutes of running around, heros would stop, I'd keep going connection only ever dropped a couple times then omfg rubberband from... umm... fissure of woe? You never know who an IP is. I did state it on the drake flesh talk page first and state who it was, did you ever check there? <reset indent> [for no good reason]"NIST Special Publication 800-12 defines PII as "any information about an individual maintained by an agency, including (1) any information that can be used to distinguish or trace an individual‘s identity, such as name, social security number, date and place of birth, mother‘s maiden name, or biometric records; and (2) any other information that is linked or linkable to an individual, such as medical, educational, financial, and employment information." maybe i should login to gw2[edit]

It might be better with that laurel stuff and at worst i could make another new guild for lulz. Pointless maybe, but, Basejumpers Society Of Death or Big Splat of Death [BSoD] would be pretty funny. Last time i logged in ended near the fountain in LA in a few K hp of dmg from jumping off the scenic overlook near it. The great collapse is a fun jump too, pretty sad it's about all i really like doing in gw2Durp da durp 16:24, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

GW2.... ugh. WoW i don't like that game much. Oh, by " and half the time i afk going thru stuff and just flag my heros. " i mean afk to go do stuff and sit somewhere dancing (aka 'ok koss do ur job and watch for patrols'). I'm serious abt no texmod, no multi-loaders, no nuthin. Maybe if there was texmod for wurm = yakkington and i could ride the yakk i might consider using texmod then. (Totally made [BSod] and a 11k hp splat followed shortly after, and a logout.) :D Durp da durp 02:46, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Spell check[edit]

http://www.howtogeek.com/76223/add-spell-checking-to-internet-explorer-9/

I have been using that one for 9 months now and it works wonders, don't let grammar stop you from editing main space. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 15:59, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

I don't use IE ever tho. FF/Chrome/Opera and its not just spelling its more to do with insomnia + boredom = weird stuff and i'd rather not chance messing up the mainspace. Also my grammar is utterly atrocious. Then theres that no wiki-fu thing. Some stuff i can do but not much, and proper context in templates often confuses me Durp da durp 03:28, 21 March 2013 (UTC)

SF slightly broken maybe.[edit]

But only because 15e for DP + 5e for SF = plenty left for cover enchants like Way of Perfection and Shroud of Distress for any properly equipped caster on natural regen alone. Increase SF's energy cost problem solved. I do not cast Balthazar's Spirit until after i have them balling. A 'few' sins and (most recently) my monk legendary since last easter. If u don't like the skill don't use it, I didn't use it for over 4 years. That goes for SoS too. fix the problem don't completely change the skill Durp da durp 22:23, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Let me put it this way. Are all monks a problem or just some monks? Durp da durp 17:56, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Ancient moss staff[edit]

You must really hate those staves to salvage so many :D -Chieftain Alex 20:36, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

The req 10 divine favor was my monks weapon but i salved it by mistake. I kinda hope a lowish req DF one drops again. Its been a good plant fiber lottery plus lots of easy hidden treasures along the way Durp da durp (talk) 05:51, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
If you do continue expert salvaging Ancient Moss Staves, could you also include the damage type in the "Damage range" column when you add the stats to Talk:Ancient Moss Staff#Expert Salvage Research? I'm trying to determine what damage type(s) is/are linked to each attribute for staves that drop (Staff#Damage types of other staves), especially the Energy Storage and Spawning Power Ancient Moss Staves. Thanks. --Silver Edge 08:22, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
I believe Soul Reaping was Dark Dmg. Most others i believe are Fire Dmg. Durp da durp (talk) 05:31, 9 February 2014 (UTC)

Dyeability[edit]

Not sure if this was a rhetorical question or not, but I'll toss you an ultimately unsatisfying answer.

When a dev creates a weapon to be sold or added to a loot table, they are picking from sets of options. These include the item type (axe, staff, etc.); the buffs it will have (increase damage, armour, etc.); and of course the skin it will show. These skins come from the set that the artists have created, and that list expands over time. The devs may have only had access to a non-dyeable version when populating portions of the game, and the devs may inadvertently choose the non-dyeable version from the list after a better version had been created.

I.e., my best guess is that iteration occurred, and the newer skin wasn't always chosen from the list by mistake. Of course, now that I think about it, I wonder if the items rely on flags like in gw2, and some skins are dyeable, and just flagged (by mistake or otherwise) so the player can't change them...

I really should grab coffee before rambling on. My apologies if this went nowhere useful ; ). G R E E N E R 19:13, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

I'd say that makes sense, but, why is it just the rare few that dye even if they both dropped in eotn? I know I saw a post from someone somewhere with one that dropped in kath that was dyeable perhaps drop location might have an influence somehow? Or maybe foe type? Honestly the more I think about it the more the randomness makes no sense. Durp da durp (talk) 19:35, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

Dead Staff[edit]

Hello, I don't know if you sell it (or still have it), but I'm interested to buy the Dead Staff (Air) of your post from February [1]. Tell me something when you can, please. -Scribeton (talk) 20:43, 10 October 2021 (UTC)

I think i might still have it somewhere, i just forget where. If it's in storage you are in luck, but if it ended up on a hero it'll be a p.i.t.a. to find xD Durp da durp (talk) 01:23, 12 October 2021 (UTC)
Ok, you are in luck, it was in storage. I swear i knew a character name for you, but my mind isn't the best. Durp da durp (talk) 01:42, 12 October 2021 (UTC)

I think I've found the thread you were looking for[edit]

Yesterday we talked in-game and I think I've found the thread, but I don't want to post external links here from other people. If you enter the game again I send you the link, because I don't know your name in the forum. Scribeton (talk) 19:01, 27 January 2022 (UTC)

I'm stupid, I was writing in the user page and not the discussion page, /facepalm, I didn't realize until you said it, apologies!! It was regarding the hammer we talked the other day, I think I've found the link, but I don't know other way to contact you and as I said I don't want to put the link here. Scribeton (talk) 00:40, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
And I'm still idiot because I just realized that Horrible has moved the conversation here and I'm repeating myself XDDDDDDDDDD Scribeton (talk) 00:43, 28 January 2022 (UTC)

If it was actually comical it might have a chance at being ignored... it's just pretty bad. You really need to brush up on wiki-fu to prevent everything being a red link. That's just bad trolling form. Durp da durp (talk) 06:50, 2 February 2022 (UTC)

/testes userpage[edit]

Hey, sorry for the notifications! The issue was with the template, and not your userpage - and it should be fixed now. Sorry again for bothering you! horrible 17:28, 29 January 2023 (UTC)

Well, like i said, Ghostly Staff is essentially 100% confirmed now as no Prot, Heal, Resto, or FC. I've ran chests a bit and gotten a few Deads, but it's not something i do a ton of. Most efficient chest route for them i like seems to be back and forth on the 1st level of SoO, other than that its run thru farts in the desolation near Awakened... and i dislike nf, so getting them has been slow. I basically just started sticking the first insc one of every attrib i get on one character. The testes page is pretty pointless, nuke it. If i run low on inventory space i'll figure out a table or something to track dropped attributes. Durp da durp (talk) 03:22, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
