Many of these are just different accounts within the same Guild/organisation, and some players like to set up a "line dance" with them. I don't think it reflects any botting under the terms of "trying to gain an unfair advantage".

  • Observation: Lot of monks, mostly Mo/Me, spawning, following the same path to chest, merchant, then vanishing. Assume they are entering the mission to farm. There is a constant flow, at least 5-10 in town at any given time. Runs seem to vary between a few seconds to several minutes. Have noticed this pattern for a couple days.

  • Observation: Furry of players for zaishen quests. Bots noted (people walk directly and timely to Combat+Bounty), random character names are noted (E.G. fsdfsdhf asdfhs) but are only spot-able for a second at best. Bot for RTW also spotted posting: Buying Accounts (listed GW campaigns 900k ea), 550k for trial or buddy key, 900k for aion (!) access keys and 900k for World Of Warcraft Accounts. --Dominator Matrix 05:05, 1 October 2009 (UTC)

characters botting

  • Observation: Alot of monk/any characters are running from the storage unit to the merchant in ice caves of sorrow, buying something, and mapping back to ice caves of sorrow. then they will go back to the storage again, and repeat the process. i have already reported multiple bots, as there are about 10 of them.

Few to none respond to chat. Might as well stick someone there with the ban stick from now till Halloween.

  • Observation: Long, very long string of monks endlessly running to the exit always taking the same route bumping in the same obstacle and reappearing after 5 min and doing the same. Reported a few with /report command.

  • Observation: I hate to sound like a broken record, but there are still lots of bots there. The first one I saw when I logged on today was in fact one that I saw the day of my original report, and one that I know I have /reported at least once, possibly multiple times. There have been several of them over the last few days that I see ever time I check there, running the same path for hours on end. Since I have been reporting them in groups of ten or more, I assume the reports are getting ignored as being spam themselves, as many of the bots continue to run after several days of reporting. Could someone please deal with these bots, its quite frustrating.

  • Observation: It seems to be never ending the streams of of monk bot programs being ran out of this town, if maybe u could put a town post directelly outside bergen so would take a real person to manvuver the terrain. other then that maybe i fundamental change must be done to the monk class itself to stop the monk bots from being made in first place. if maybe could make protective spirit different make only block one attack only taking 10% damage from spell or attack. I know most ppl would not agree with these measures but something must be done . AT the moment i can only turn a blind eye to the bots like it seems this report site does. I say this after reporting here many times only to see same bot name and likeness next day :( I have already noticed the drop rate for areas around where bots are have not been very good not many gold , money or collectable items. I work hard for what items i get and makes me sad to see so many bot allowed about thank you for your time

  • Observation: A number of Mo/Me Bots (some were other secondary professions also N or W) Mapping to the outpost then running to storage, merchant and back outside, there was a number of Bots who were in guilds some to mention were; Boo Jykis [DFF], Han Ratt [IiI], I Mabrgty I [BHP] Hgjfk Fj [Dead], and Dfsdg Dgfdgfgd [pds] there were a number with guilds I couldn't catch in time and a number of them without guilds, Also when you go to /report one it says there not in the same district as you when they were clearly in-front of me.

Bergen Hot Springs and botting

  • District: Every one I have been in, usually American English 1
  • Observation: Apparent Monk botting (see below)


I have also seen many different days, and many different times of day, Monk/Any characters with no party, and apparently no heros or any hangers on appearing in town, and then directly running for the exit. It doesn't seem that much is being done, or else, the new bots are overflowing how many are getting cleared out. This town alone almost seems to need a permanent GM monitoring around the clock. The problem is, many of them may be legitimate players, and doing this, but how can another player tell, and report the bots without being banned for "abuse" of the report feature by unintentionally reporting legitimate players?

Also, another question/concern. How are we supposed to report account scammers using the report feature? They spam their message quick (usually twice or three times in a row) then split to another town or district. Taking a screen shot and taking the time right then and there is a huge amount of time spent on this problem, and now, to add to the issue, for some reason, my computer will not let me take screen shots. It shuts down GW with a Windows error message "Disk Full". (I know why it is doing this, but I cannot take screen shots.) The problem is being able to type quick enough to *catch* these spammers and scammers before they leave town.

  • Observation: A bot, a ranger called Aion Only. Never left the luxon base, just sitting there and spamming Apply Poison, Lightning Reflexes and Escape.
