[edit] Mechanics changes (exiting the game no longer safe for avoiding death/preserving survivor status)
Apparently, the game mechanics have changed and exiting is now a dangerous (rather than reliable) method for escaping sudden death. I went into an explorable area, had a friend aggro some foes with me and heroes just behind. The friend quit the game (Alt-F4) at around 60% health; they continued to show up as an active party member (the message was: [player] has lost communication with the server).
Gaile: could you update the FAQ accordingly? The only safe strategies that remain are: logging out (F12->yes) and mapping out (with the Guild Hall being the easiest place to reach). Thanks! — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 03:33, 24 April 2011 (UTC)
