Thanks.[edit]

Thank you for that copy and paste, it was very helpful. I'm tired of people jumping in and throwing around their .02 cents without giving anything to back them up. So, thank you for showing me that EULA paragraph. I understand Arena.Net has rules and policies, but, the way they "uphold" them is in a very strict and dictatorship type of way to me. :\ -Lena User Lena Sig.png talk 20:25, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm glad you found my comment useful. I agree that some of ANet's decisions and actions seem questionable. Sadly, on this Wiki it is impossible to have any kind of reasonable argument, regardless of what side you are arguing. It's always the same people picking the exact opposite side, seemingly just for the heck of it. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 02:05, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
I apologize for putting this on your talk page Monkey. Monkey told you the same thing I did only I didnt copy/paste. All you needed to do was read the EULA to back up what I said.Talk page Drogo Boffin 02:11, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Oh well, it has been rather quiet here. If it does erupt into an argument at least I'll seem "involved" to anyone visiting my talk page =) // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 10:47, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
Unless it doesn't happen of course, then I just look like an idiot :) // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 16:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

You might want to tag it for deletion if it's no longer of use to you. — Jon User Jon Lupen Sig Image.png Lupen 20:28, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the nudge, tagged it. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 20:32, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
No problem, the RC Hawks are looking out for you. :) — Jon User Jon Lupen Sig Image.png Lupen 20:37, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
And thanks for adding the correct reason tags. Still learning, I'll be sure to add them myself next time. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 20:39, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
I would suggest having a look at the deletion polocy too. — Jon User Jon Lupen Sig Image.png Lupen 20:43, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
I have by now, thanks for pointing it out though. It must be real tiresome to have people act before they read. Sorry :( // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 20:46, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
It's all good, as long as people are willing to listen and learn. — Jon User Jon Lupen Sig Image.png Lupen 20:51, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

When you get back...[edit]

I was directed to you by Karasu about these images. They're uncategorized at the moment, and nothing links to them, so I'm curious as to if they are still needed so they can be tagged appropriately or deleted. Thanks! --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 14:16, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm not exactly sure which image you are referring to. I'm guessing they already got deleted? // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 20:47, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
That or tagged. I'm not sure where they went. Nevertheless, my main goal was to find a way to remove them from that list, so looks like it worked out. --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 00:50, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
If Karasu directed you to me I would guess it were four five very small images consisting of black and possibly a bit of grey. And they were likely named Item_tm.gif, Item_bm.gif, Item_ml.gif, Item_mr.gif and Item_bg.gif, correct? Anyway, those could be deleted. I'm not sure if they have been though. And since those have been deleted I guess it was them. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 09:51, 16 June 2009 (UTC)

Vanyi[edit]

Perhaps you should read what you reverted again. Its stating the dialog after completing The Hero's Journey but before changing professions. That dialog is changed after you complete one of the 4 quests to change your profession from the desert. Using a profession changer has nothing to do with it since the dialog would have changed as well. So the statement After completing The Hero's Journey but before changing secondary profession. is incorrect. If you change your second profession, the dialog changes. If you complete one of the 4 quests from the desert (with or without changing your profession), the dialog also changes. The way it is worded, you have to change your profession before you are able to get the next attribute quest from her, which is not true. — Rappy 09:07, 8 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes it is. As long as I had my first secondary profession I got the "Why have you disregarded my advice? Seek out the spirits of the desert. In their wisdom you shall find strength, and yet you linger here." dialogue. Only when it was not my first secondary could I get the next attribute quest. I used the profession changer, then I could get the next attribute quest. To test, I didn't accept but changed my secondary back to my initial secondary and I could no longer take the next attribute quest. // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 10:03, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, maybe you don't need a different secondary if you completed one of the quests, I don't know since I didn't test that. But your wording implies that completing one of those quests is the only way to get the next attribute quest, which is not true // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 10:06, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
I just did this today. I got the quest. Went to the three towns and returned to get the reward. Then I had to complete one of the quests in order for her to offer The Hero's Challenge. When prompted from the quest to Make me a xxx. I simply closed it (as I didn't want to change my profession) and returned to Vanyi. She then offered me the next quest. I was unaware of changing your profession from another continent as a bypass. So, we are both partly correct. I hope the edit on Vanyi is sufficient now. — Rappy 12:17, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Ah yes, I didn't know that. Seems good to me now :) // HeavenMonkey User HeavenMonkey signature.png 13:06, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
