Here and there you also claim this to be a copyvio. Do you have anything to back that up? Please understand that I am not saying that it isn't; I just believe that one should assume good faith and since it appears to be a modification of an ArenaNet image they would still hold the copyright which would make it fine to be here, although it should then be tagged as ArenaNet owned. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Inspired (talk).

Sorry about forgetting to sign and thanks for the link. Following that thru the chain of provided links revealed the apparently true source of this image from the person who claimed to have made it as: "edited NCsoft's Guild Wars' Warrior concept art they have on their website, made a pretty decent icon to replace the default low res warrior helmet icon." Thus, ArenaNet would hold the copyright on the image. Now, the only question that remains is whether ArenaNet has a problem with the use of modified images on this wiki; and I for one hope not because there seem to be very many. -- Inspired to ____ 19:58, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Until Anet has a problem with the artist who originally posted it on Deviant Art, it's not for us to say it's an Anet owned image. The fact that the PvX wiki license and the GWW license are incompatible makes it unusable here.-- Wynthyst 20:14, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

The previously mentioned Vista icon is NOT a Windows icon, it's a user created icon. I does not need to be deleted per copyright. That's why it has been around since August of 2007.-- Wynthyst 04:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Not sure if this counts, but Regina's sig is of a Metroid from the Metroid series of games. Might wanna check in to that (; —Utopian ♫ 04:03, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

The metroid icon was made by User:AT who released it under GFDL; I don't think it violates anything. (although it may) --Shadowphoenix 04:28, 5 July 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I did a quick look and the icon is obviously based on this, but I think AT made the icon from scratch, i.e. not a derivative work.... Whether that would count as a copyvio, being all his own work, I'm not sure, but I'll speak to AT and do a bit more research see what I find. -- Indochine talk 15:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
