Devona

In the current version of Devona, there is white space to the left of the table of contents and Nightfall and Eye of the North "show location links" are separated (1 of 2, 2 of 2 - using Firefox). Also, when all the locations are expanded, there is a gap between the Propehcies and Faction locations ([1]). While the only downside to having the TOC placed at the end of the Locations section is that the TOC shifts down for each campaign location shown. --Silver Edge 02:23, 16 January 2011 (UTC)

That's most interesting considering *I* use firefox and that issue never occurred to me. Ever. Then again, your resolution is terribly different from mine... and resolution differences will always cause issues that show up on one and not the other. It should be noted that in your version, the ToC got pushed all the way to about 1/3 down the page when the locations were expanded. A table of content is absolutely worthless that far down, and the current location prevents that completely. Honestly, I wish there was a better fix to the ToC for these large-toc long pages. Like putting it next to the infobox and always have text going around it... Dunno if that's possible. -- Konig/talk 03:03, 16 January 2011 (UTC)
My screen resolution is 1024x768. I find a solution: shortening the width of the collapsible table fixed the problem. --Silver Edge 20:17, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

I like what I'm seer-ing

I prefer your edit to what I had written. Nice work.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 08:57, 20 January 2011 (UTC)

Soundtrack - trivia? or something more?

Why is soundtrack less trivial than Voice Actor or similar things that belong in Trivia? I can see that other articles follow that convention, but I have never understood why. Of course, since I have soundtrack turned off... I might be unreasonably biased. Since it seems to be a convention rather than a policy, I'd like to see it changed. However, I'd like to hear (read?) your thoughts before bringing it up. (Since I've more than once changed my mind after doing so.) Thanks!  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:37, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

I'm more of going by what every other region page has it as - in its own section (which you left it as thus making it not trivia), and above the Notes section. The VA is something only heard either in cinematics or by the occasional EN-effected NPC, soundstracks are heard everywhere and gives a constant feel to the game that VA doesn't. . It is also a bigger topic than VAs for NPCs (that is, there's more soundtracks per area than VAs per NPC). It doesn't matter to me though. Then again, I don't see VA as trivia, but that there's no better place than trivia for it, due to the minuscule mention.
Effectively, imo, it's not trivia-section material mainly due to the size and increase interaction with the player compared to VA. -- Konig/talk 03:03, 31 January 2011 (UTC)
Okay, you have convinced me that it's consistent to have Soundtrack as a level 2 (==) header, even if it still seems like Trivia to me. Thanks.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 03:49, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Races

moved to User talk:Greener/Sandbox/Animals and Beasts#Races

Uncontested moves...

The best one imo was Guide to Drok's run, since that takes the title out of the awkward cApItAlIzAtIoN category. Thanks for taking care of those.  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 06:12, 13 February 2011 (UTC)

Gamer chicks

Those gamer chicks are indeed all for the ip. -- Konig/talk 20:24, 17 February 2011 (UTC)

Two and Two

So, what is meant by the putting two and two together comment you made on John's page? I didn't catch the hints. You comfortable sharing what the clues are? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 05:41, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

The order of updates what the comment of the section. -- Konig/talk 20:13, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Redundant images

GWW:DEL I was not going to delete all of those images at the moment because, at first glance, some of them seem to either be better copies of their replacements or not related to the redundant file you linked (I think you had a caster replacing a ranger in there). Anyways, I'll leave them in that list for a bit longer. G R E E N E R 23:38, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

The "caster replacing a ranger" would probably be the Margonite Anur <enter ranger names> which uses the monk model. "better copies" is a bit subjective but I looked at each one and based things on skill effects - and if both were clean, then on image size (for instance, the Apocrypha/Graven Monolith one - the Graven Monolith is much bigger and thus clearer but the Apocrypha was cleaner). Eventually these should all get turned into renders so weapons and background shouldn't matter so long as the NPC itself can be clearly seen (which is why I didn't have the Maguuma Protector, which except for a bush was the best Maguuma caster model as the one kept), so I also went by that.
But as I said, some cases may merely be subjective. I'm just trying to reduce the number of images that utilize the same NPC model. -- Konig/talk 23:48, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
As most of my female friends will point out, I don't have an aesthetic eye for such things. I'll hit that page again later tonight. G R E E N E R 23:58, 21 February 2011 (UTC)

WTB a comment

This is my favorite (YTD) of a comment supporting the summary (rather than vice-versa).  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 04:47, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Impersonator

There's some guy called something I don't remember, ending in "Des Todes" that claims to be you in-game. I played with the guy today. MithUser MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 22:26, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

I haven't been on GW today... And only "Des Todes" character I have is the one my username is of - Konig Des Todes. Though I'm honored that people feel the need to pretend they are me. -- Konig/talk 22:36, 22 February 2011 (UTC)
Lol. Immitation IS the highest form of flattery. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:31, 23 February 2011 (UTC)
If that's the case, then where does that leave mistaking the gender or having "private fantasies" at? -- Konig/talk 00:36, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Would you take a look

At my Underworld Balance suggestion page and tell me if something can not be made with the live team? --Boro 10px‎ 19:00, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

I has a question!

Do you has a twitter? o_O --KOKUOU 21:20, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

No, why? -- Konig/talk 21:21, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I was just curious. You're *the* GW lore master, so I thought it'd be interesting to follow you, if you did. :D --KOKUOU 21:23, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
...Aaaand that's not creepy or anything. No, only thing I have is a facebook and that uses my real name... which I want to keep separate from as much gw stuff as possible. -- Konig/talk 21:26, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
It's not that creepy once you use it. There's a whole bunch of wiki/guru members that follow each other and talk about random stuff (both GW- and non-GW-related), which is kinda fun. It's also a great tool for talking to GW community relations/support members (as well as other companies whose products you use/like). And I wouldn't think of asking anyone for their Facebook info. I, too, use that mainly for keeping in touch with family and friends, so I understand. Anyway, just thought I'd ask. No harm/creepiness intended. ^^ --KOKUOU 21:32, 3 March 2011 (UTC)

Image vs File

I've seen you (and several other people, but the most recent example on my watchlist was you) change the namespace (correct word?) for pictures from "Image:" to "File:". I seem to vaguely recall a discussion about this a long time ago, but what is the reason for this, and should I be doing it as well? Feel free to link me to the discussion if you wish. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 15:48, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

mainspace; and I don't know of any discussion on this, I just like shorter coding (hence why I prefer ; over bold, file over image, and self-link over bolding). I would think that if there was a discussion on "image vs file" it would of turned out much like the spacing-after-astrixes-and-between-section-headers or the bold-or-self-link discussions - outcome of both was "it doesn't matter which, so long as it is consistent within the page itself, but don't change just that" more or less. -- Konig/talk 18:28, 9 March 2011 (UTC)
Alright, I thought maybe there was some sort of tiny technical reason, thanks. Manifold User Manifold Neptune.jpg 18:57, 9 March 2011 (UTC)

By the six...

Having just done HotN again, I noticed that Gwen says, "...by the Six" a great deal. It seems to me that phrase should be a redirect to something (probably Gods of Tyria). (It also seems strange to me that Gwen, a child of Ascalon, wouldn't say, "by the five", since I thought she was still a Charr prisoner when Abaddon was toppled. ) Whaddya think?  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:53, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

No need for such a redirect and it's been 4 years since Nightfall, I'm sure Gwen learned of Kormir since even the asura knew of her. -- Konig/talk 06:25, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Why did the ip cross the road?

I suspect this edit was the result of a disagreement between the trackpad and the contributor, e.g. that accidental thumb-click that jumps the cursor. It wouldn't surprise me if that happened just before typing the four tildes... the IP didn't see the mistake and then navigated manually to the correct spot and typed four more. (I'm only surprised things like this don't happen more often.)  — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:13, 12 April 2011 (UTC)
