I got bored by GuildWars... I miss outfitting my character (finding new stuff) and exploring new regions. GuildWars is not really for playing all with one character, although it is possible. I think I will be here from time to time, but I won't play much for now. Have fun.

My contributions[edit]

Welcome to GWW. For future usage of the info boxes templates, especially those dealing with Weapons, you do not need to add |name or |image. The template takes care of them for you. Also for salvage, please use the correct full name and pluralize it, i.e. Iron Ingots vs. Iron. Thanks! — Gares 11:14, 26 February 2007 (EST)

thanks for your advices. I'm new to wiki-editing but will do my best. — MSorglos 14:26, 27 February 2007 (EST)
I see that I forgot that Equipped Appearances in weapon template, now I know MSorglos 02:43, 28 February 2007 (EST)
You are a busy beaver. Just wanted to say keep up the good work. — Gares 11:44, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
Thx. Should work more for my diploma ;) - GuildWars Wiki is good for relaxing. - MSorglos 14:58, 16 March 2007 (EDT)
If you desire to be something and work hard at it, that is all you need in my opinion. In this day and age, however, that piece of paper is sometimes the only thing companies look at. For a good read, see this article. I do have a four year college education, though, so please continue at graduating.
I noticed you have not filled in the location sections of the weapons articles and that makes it all the more easier. I maybe changing some things around in the near future as I have been doing some drop/location research lately to make sure the section will be accurate enough, yet not overcrowded with entries. I would like your input when I am finished as you are familiarizing yourself with the formatting section. I will contact you then. — Gares 08:00, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

(reset Ident) I'll help where I can. When there is a formatting guide for drop/location research, I'll do my best to gather that informations. I would love to see another formatting guide for salvage information, so that we can tell something like "contains 6-8 Iron Ingots". Don't know wether other people would also love to see this information, I know it will be a hard way until we have it. By the way I would love to get some comments on Guild_Wars_Wiki:Formatting/Items and User:MSorglos/ProposalForSalvageInfobox. There are so many items to be added to this wiki and no proposed formatting for them ;). - MSorglos 08:35, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

Blanked talk pages[edit]

I reverted your edits to User talk:Goku The Man Slayer. It is his page, he can do what he wants with it, there was no important content on there. 212.158.245.101 03:49, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

Any and all discussion is important for the wiki, people delete content off their talk pages will encourage others to remove parts of their talk page too. There was important content on the talk page too, Anja was outlining the fact that he cannot copy stuff directly over from GuildWiki -- Scourge User Scourge Spade.gif 03:59, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

thanks. I'll go find some of the stuff and actually put that in or what it actually salvages into. I wasn't sure for most of them so I thought I'd just go back into them later. --Zemmy 13:45, 3 April 2007 (EDT)

so?[edit]

so you like stuff? -- Wings That Heal 10:13, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

please stop spamming that text to all user talks. Do something usefull and add missing weapons or quests. - MSorglos 10:14, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
i am well in my right to talk to users, and i beat you this is annoying gem -- Wings That Heal 10:15, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

thanks[edit]

for un-blanking my user page, :) --Lemming64 19:03, 11 April 2007 (EDT)

no problem, I anyway was unblanking pages, so your user was only one of them ;) - MSorglos 01:56, 12 April 2007 (EDT)

Ravager of Dreams[edit]

Hi. The creature described in the concerned article also appears to drop "Ravaging Daggers" Serge Yseron 15:59, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

I have been capturing the elite skill there, he dropped that Demon relic, so I added it. I did not know the uniques name, so I didn't add it. Feel free to do it. - MSorglos 16:02, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
Modifying directly an article seems to bother the original author as your extra-precisions seems to suggest it, that's why I first noticed you this way. Serge Yseron 16:14, 19 April 2007 (EDT)
Modifying an article should not bother any author in a wiki - thats what a wiki is for: the one who can add additional information should be free to add it. I don't think I should be noticed if any of the articles I created or edited gets extra informations or new formatting. - MSorglos 16:23, 19 April 2007 (EDT)

Re: "hi, Dont delete"[edit]

Sure I can archive it, I just don't want my talk page to have too much spam, it'll eventually become hard to find the new message when the whole page is text. Power WM 14:20, 25 April 2007 (EDT)

Sig[edit]

Thnx =) i personally love cookies ^^, if i need to make anything i may try :) not 100% succesful you might need LordBiro for that he's Lord of Icons -.-File:Tomoko's Cookie.jpg (talk)

Cookie Jar ftw =P TomokoFile:Tomoko's Cookie.jpg (talk)
Got a box of "Äppelflarn" cookies from IKEA - I could bath in them! Very delicious. Too sad they don't "stay" long as I eat them too fast. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 19:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

NPC pages[edit]

Heya. Noticed that you were correcting some of the NPC articles. The NPC infobox now automatically categorizes by profession, so that category can be deleted from the boss pages. Also, {{NPC location}} should be used in the Locations section to wrap around each NPC location, (e.g. {{NPC location|Snake Dance}}); that'll also categorise the NPC by location (providing us with a way to change how those categories are structured in the future), and this category can be omitted from the article as well (leaving only the species category to be manually entered). If you already knew this, apologies in advance! :) Cheers. --Dirigible 15:31, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for your advice. I noticed the change for infobox and that NPC location template, but did not remember how to use location template (and have been far too lazy to check it). That change in infobox is easy, so I did it... location I had to think about - and thinking is nothing for pleasure :-) - MSorglos 15:37, 27 April 2007 (EDT)

Popup configuration[edit]

Hi, I need some help to configure Lupin's Popup. I want that the revert Summary states "Revert USERs (USER_CONTRIB) edit to revision REV of ORIG_AUTHOR using popups" instead of "Revert to the revision prior to revision REV using popups". Can anybody tell me how to do this?

We can't do that here on the wiki, since that requires Query.php to be installed, which it isn't. It's been mentioned several times that it'd be nice to have it, but nothing yet. Might want to mention it at rfta/Navigation popups, so it's On Record that you too want query.php. :)
Without query.php, the edit summary takes only one parameter, %s, which will show the prev revision. You can customize the non-query.php revert description with popupRevertSummary, e.g.
popupRevertSummary='Reverting to revision %s';
Hope that helps. Cheers! --Dirigible 05:00, 29 April 2007 (EDT)
Thanks for that hint...I'll give it a try. - MSorglos 05:39, 29 April 2007 (EDT)

Hi[edit]

thanks for the pointer, as you must guess i am very new, how excally do i point there pages onto the Build namespace?

Thanks Seraphine Valentine 16:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

use the "move this page"-link at top of the page to move. Afterwards tag the origin page with {{delete|redirect not needed}} as there should be no redirect from "normal" to Guild namespace.
Also you can easily sign your comments on talk pages with ~~~~. Happy editing - everybody started sometime here. - MSorglos 15:34, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks a lot! I shall move them all asap Seraphine Valentine 16:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

I will try to look before i hit Save in future Thanks again ^_^ --Seraphine Valentine 16:49, 25 May 2007 (UTC)

Adding guild cleanup tags[edit]

Please don't mark such a change as minor, as it's potentially disputable. Thanks. Aiiane-a.gif (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 20:27, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

I'll try to uncheck my "minor change" checkbox while tagging with guild cleanup. I think in some days there will be less new guild pages and less tagging to be done. - MSorglos 20:36, 26 May 2007 (UTC)

Hey, the only reason that the page was in the discussion page, was because I needed my guild leader to approve it before it went to the real page.70.130.238.92 20:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

A Talk page is not the right place for such articles. You should have made a Guild:Gwonline Guild/Temp page or something like that. I think it will be all fine, otherwise your guild leader can change it as needed. - MSorglos 20:14, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

So?[edit]

Sry form my bad englisch(im german) is this with the pic okay ? What do you written me ? --Lisatha 14:28, 30 May 2007 (UTC) Thanks for a mail back

Hab auf deiner Talk-Page einen Hinweis hinterlassen. Bitte neue Themen immer am Ende der Page hinzufügen. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 14:37, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

- MSorglos (talk|contrib) 15:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Babel Boxes[edit]

Hey! Could you edit your Babel boxes to show the language abbreviations in lower case (i.e. DE-N = de-N and EN-3 = en-3)? That way you will be categorized in the right place with everyone else :) --Lensor 17:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Done. Had that templates for long time now, but they did not work... Thanks for your hint. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 17:41, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

User:MSorglos/Proposals/Water Staff[edit]

Heya - would you mind temporarily taking the disambig tag out of this page (or putting it in nowiki tags until the page is in the main namespace), as it's currently being categorized into the Disambiguation category? Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 11:39, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

done. Thanks for your notice. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 17:18, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

inherant lockpick bonus for chests in normal mode[edit]

Not sure if the bit saying in normal mode is necessary, things like the Canthan Chest are not called Canthan chest in Hard mode.. doesn't hurt though I guess :) --Lemming64 16:28, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

User_talk:The_Great_Tomato#Lockpicks and base chance of regaining keys was my push for adding it, just to make it clear and not risking a revert :) - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 17:47, 3 July 2007 (UTC)

Rubber[edit]

I though geez that's some odd coincidence, it must be some new catch phrase I haven't heard of yet! --Xasxas256 13:05, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Did not think about what he wrote - that "penis" is some kind of signal word for me to revert and put a notice... Besides thanks for quick response - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 13:12, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

service field in the NPC infobox[edit]

The formatting guide for the NPC infobox doesn't include a "service" field. Until and unless that changes, please do not put it there. Rangerjherek 19:32, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

I have replied to this on your talk page. It is in the formatting guide. - BeX iawtc 02:07, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks - I did not check the formatting, but thought that it must be wrong to give them a profession if they actually don't have any. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 15:57, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Signature[edit]

I have a question. When you stated that your sig. must contain your name of part of it, am i allowed to put just Hank instead of Hanks Gotcha? As seen in my Signature now. File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.pngHank (talk · contributions) 17:37, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

Yes, this is allowed. See GWW:SIGN#Appearance_and_color second point for special restrictions. There is already a User:Hank. If you registered this, all is fine. You only have to put a redirect from Hank to your real user page. If you did not register Hank, you may not use that shortened name, as it could be misleading that "Hanks Gotcha" acts as "Hank". - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 17:45, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
KK, I'll make an account of Big Hank then change it. Done File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 18:12, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
But Big Hank is not a part of Hanks Gotcha and so no part of your user name. 18:15, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
However Hank is. File:Image-User Hanks Gotcha sig.png Big Hank (talk · contributions) 18:16, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
see Guild_Wars_Wiki_talk:Sign_your_comments#Signature for the talk regarding shortened signature names. I think the shortened name must be fully in your user name to use it. You could start a new section at this talk (or use #Signature section) to ask for that. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 18:21, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
That talk section was archived to here instead: Guild Wars Wiki talk:Sign your comments/Archive1#Signature. -- ab.er.rant sig 06:38, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for that extra link. Hank archived before he started the new section there. I did not find time to fix this link. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 06:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

Deleting vs archiving on User talk pages[edit]

All I could find was the Wikipedia [Talk page guildlines] which states:

  • On your own user talk page, you may remove comments from others, although archiving is generally preferred and removing comments without any reason is generally regarded uncivil. The text of another user's comment, however, may never be directly edited to misrepresent the person or change the meaning of the comment.

You seem to revert user talk page deletions with heavy hand and a comment that its not allowed. Is there any GWW specific guildlines for talk pages? If so please point me at it. Cloud 02:06, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

We are not Wikipedia, so we don't have the same guidelines. Our guidelines for talk pages are in GWW:USER#User_talk_page_restrictions. And some further discussion towards archiving only some comments can be found here. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 05:55, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, that's what I was looking for, don't know why I didn't see it :P Cloud 06:20, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

hiya[edit]

Not wanting to nitpick, but since I noticed on your user page that you're not a native English speaker, I figured I'd point this out to help you out - typically, "information" in English isn't pluralized - even if you're talking about multiple items of information or facts, you'd still say just "information", because the word is typically used to refer to a collective of knowledge rather than an individual piece (which would often be referred to as a "bit of information" or "piece of information"). Cheers! :) Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 15:07, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for that hint. Perhaps that mistake was because of my german origin. Sometimes I "see" that some english wordings look wrong as I type them and I can correct them. But I think I will never understand why Vodafone uses the slogan "make the most of now" - what also looks wrong to me because I think no native english speaker will say it this way. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 15:49, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
It seems a fairly natural saying to me, as a native English speaker. What about if it were "make the most of today"? I guess it's just something you get used to, like dialectic-grammar and social subtext. - BeX iawtc 16:53, 28 July 2007 (UTC)
To me this sounds like a word-by-word translation, thought there is some better saying. - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 05:15, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it's really a translation of anything because it's not an uncommon saying, but it sounds to me like a pretty natural form of speaking. :) There is so much subtext with words and grammar and how you choose to phrase things! - BeX iawtc 14:52, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Welcome back :) - anja talk 19:02, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you very much. Took very long to see that there is no other opportunity than UMTS - 4 weeks waiting for DSL and another week for Wireless connection... I think I missed much from GW:EN and actually do not have the money to buy it. Perhaps I get my 1000 screenshots analysed and fill the salvage and drop research tables...
:/ That's a long wait. Also, my personal opinion is, you haven't missed much of GW:EN, apart from some fun bugs maybe :P But maybe you like being one of the first :) Anyway, it's good to have you back at wiki! - anja talk 19:44, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

Just a heads up to tell you that Water Staff image is up for deletion due to removal of the weapon gallery template. If you still want it go ahead and contest, but it's pending deletion already and someone else might delete it before you get this message. :P - BeX iawtc 06:09, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for that notice. I think I don't need the water staff image any more ;-) - MSorglos (talk|contrib) 08:02, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

--== Spirits Of Romania ==

Regarding guild name "Spirits Of Romania", or "Spirits Of Romania - Alliance", the name is the first, not second, but i don't know how to modify the leader of the alliance, becose the alliance "Dudele Dulci" dosen't exist anymore, and now the alliance leader is "Spirits Of Romania" !!! Thanx !!--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Drhigh (talk).

In that case, the page needs to remain named Spirits Or Romania, as per guild page policy. We don't host Alliance pages.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 12:23, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Please check now if is ok, i made the modification !! Thanx ! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Drhigh (talk).--Drhigh 12:37, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

New Drop/Salvage Research Project[edit]

After noting that drop research has been almost non-existent since 2007 and quite often presented in different manners I have just begun a shiny new drop/salvage project and was hoping that I could maybe attain your assistance as one of the major contributors of this information (or at least your support or comments on my proposals). The project can be found Here

Many thanks in advance for your time. Dakota 23:14, 29 December 2009 (UTC)
