Hi! That's a lovely image you've got, an original Chaos Axe :P

Speaking of which, according to Policy it must redirect either to your user page or your talk page. Please remedy this; or tell me which you'd prefer and I'd be happy to do it for you.

Cheers! User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 16:50, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I think I got it redirected! Thanks! --MushaUser Musha Sigc.pngTalk 22:54, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, I kind of got distracted.
That's fine, thanks for being so co-operative :) User A F K When Needed Signature Icon.jpg A F K When Needed 19:11, 26 February 2010 (UTC)

Move

You needed to move Shining Blade camp, not copy/paste. You lose the history if you do it your way. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:59, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm sorry, I actually thought that was how you moved something. Could you please tell me how to officially move something? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:08, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
The move button is two to the right of the edit button. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 00:08, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, would you look at that. :| Can't believe I never noticed that before. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:10, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Now however, it can't simply be moved because the pages have been created. Is there a discussion somewhere that I'm missing where it's been decided that it should be Shining Blade Camp, rather than Shining Blade camp? -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:11, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, I didn't intend to mess things up like that. Please accept my apologies. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:13, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Wouldn't it work if a sysop were to delete the page, Wyn? --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 00:14, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, but again, I ask where it was decided that it should be capitalized. I believe it is currently named correctly. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:15, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
I know what you were asking, it just seemed like you were suggesting that the page was now in a form where it could not possibly be moved. Never mind. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 00:17, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
No such discussion or decision exists. But since its the name of a location, and thus a proper noun, every word should be capitalized. I took the liberty of creating that page and then doing a redirect from the original. As I said before, I didn't intend to mess anything up. So, take my apology for what it's worth and if anything needs to be fixed, then let's fix it.--MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:21, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Can you show us where it's referred to as 'Shining Blade Camp' in game? Otherwise, it's just a camp that the Shining Blade uses, meaning 'Shining Blade camp' is correct. --Riddle 00:26, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, it's in proper naming format for GWW, unless as Riddle says it's actually referred to capitalized in game. I'm not crabbing btw. I was simply trying to show you how to keep the history intact (which btw, is required by GFDL). As for the naming, that should be a consensus driven decision. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:32, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
I understand. I was just merely attempting to create a redirect page for the alternate "spelling" and decided to move the page to the one I thought most grammatically correct. If it needs fixing, then go right on ahead and fix it. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 00:35, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

(Reset indent) So how do I move just part of a page rather than a whole page? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 04:09, 8 May 2010 (UTC)

Then you would have to manually copy and paste. --Kyoshi User Kyoshi sig.png (Talk) 05:16, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Now, I've seen, on Linsey's page and Regina's page, posts get moved to the Feedback:User Space or somewhere else, and a link is left that says something like, original post moved to this page. Is that just a copy and paste with a message left behind? Or is there a specific wiki function to do that? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 15:12, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

removing dialogue

Is there some reason you removed all that dialogue off Thackeray's collector page? If it's in game, it needs to be there. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 22:49, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I haven't "removed" it, I am simply reorganizing it. ;) --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:56, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, where has this "reorganization" been discussed? -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:01, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm only asking, because there seems to be a general dislike of splitting information onto separate pages. The goal is to not have "click here" links for people to find information, and that's what you seem to be adding. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:04, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
You, yourself, have said that pages are becoming cluttered and disorganized with the addition of the War in Krtya content. I am simply attempting to make things more clear and concise. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:08, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
I believe that all of the dialogue on Thackeray's collector pages would be better organized and much more clear if it were in a dialogue section. I believe it would become more user friendly for our users that way. I have moved all the dialogue here.--MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:12, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Yes, I have said that as part of a discussion and proposal and consensus was against me, so I have stopped. You should as well. I believe all your changes need to be reverted and discussed. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 23:13, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
Very well. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:14, 10 May 2010 (UTC)
You know, I thought the point of the wiki was for the community to work together to provide good information and details that the rest of the community can use. If a typo or a mistake in information needs fixing, or a member has an idea about how to make the provided information more user-friendly, why does it have to go through the bureaucracy? Who runs that bureaucracy anyway? --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:25, 10 May 2010 (UTC)

I presume

that you use a program to capture the models of your characters, which look very nice. If so, which one, and can I download it for free? Edit: I hope you're not just printscreening them. --smøni 20:34, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Lol. That is actually what I do. I screenshot my characters, then I use photoshop to cut away the background, and then save it as a .png. So, sorry to disappoint you, but I am not using a free downloadable program and I am screenshotting them. :/ --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 20:47, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Damn. They do look really good like they have been extracted. --smøni 21:15, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Well, thanks! :D

Navbar

hey noticed ur navbar thing growls at File:Any-tango-icon-48 was wondering if there is a fix? --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 20:41, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but if you are saying that you put that image as one of the tabimages and it is showing up as an ivalid link then all you need to do is remove the "File:" part of the image name. The navbar is already encoded to include that portion of any image name. For example, you could set TabImage1=Any-tango-icon-48 and it will show up. If you don't remove that part of the file name it will show up as File:File:Any-tango-icon-48 and be an invalid link. Good luck! --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 20:55, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
yeah, i think i missed a capitol / added an extra cap somewhere, but now since i'm only ganna use 8 tabs how do i change the spacing width of the tabs? btw thx 4 the super fast response --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 20:59, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
If you are looking at the coding for the tabs, you should see something like "! style="width:9%" ". Just take 100 and divide it by the number of tabs you want. If you want 8 tabs, change the 9% to 12.5% and that should look really nice for you. :) --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:06, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
i kno from wen i did my navbar (you can see it above my knockoff of urs did tht 1 from scratch, was looking for a shorthand way of doing the coding, maybe cpy -> paste ur tabs thing into a page 4 me & change the percents that way? cuz idk wut will happen if i include the template w/ the bar on same page could come out as a wall of redlink *eek* also, drawing a HTML blank &nsbp does what exactly? --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 21:10, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Sure, np. I have copied all of my tabs code to this page. I named it sandbox, but you can move it to whatever page you want. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:18, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
tyvm --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 21:30, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
err... umm... --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 21:43, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Lol, you had actually erased the tab data. I added it back for you and erased everything more than 8 tabs. Should work for you now. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 21:49, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Also, now that you have the code on your own page, don't forget to use that as your template. I have made the change for you, but its something to watch out for. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:06, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
Thank You! although i thought i had changed over the template? musta hit cancel instead of save after preview ;( --User The Scythe Has Fallen Sig.pngThe Scythe Has Fallen | Speak Now in the Chaos 22:31, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

Your Page...

...is lovely to look at! So many pretty colors and it looks awesome! Just thought I should litter your page with compliments that I could easily just tell you in person! But, I must say, I am pretty sure your page is one of the best-lookin' pages out there in the GW Wiki Community! Definitely one of my favorites! Greater and Lesser Giant's Basin

I know where you got the Lesser. But where did you get the Greater? Maybe it is called Grand or perhaps Larger? -- Konig/talk 04:38, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

Before we change things further

I've noticed you changed a bunch of WiK NPCs to include ===War in Kryta=== as a separation. Not only is this ugly, but done incorrectly, and before I change it to how it should be via campaign separation (using ;[[Guild Wars Beyond]] for WiK areas), is there a place noting the difference between campaigns was discussed? So I don't go against a consensus I don't know of. -- Konig/talk 17:53, 10 July 2010 (UTC)

No, I couldn't find any concensus either. Some of the NPCs I looked at and made changes to had this format and some didn't. The ones that didn't, I made this change to so they would be consistent with the others. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 18:46, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Well if a difference in campaign is noted then it would be done similar to Grasp of Insanity, for instance (seems my memory of how to do it was off, even). -- Konig/talk 18:57, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, I say, go ahead and change it to how it should look. You and I never found a consensus deciding otherwise, so let's go by standard wiki format. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 19:19, 10 July 2010 (UTC)
Apparently User:J.P. has an issue with this. Perhaps you should stop and get things settled before you do any more pages.--User Pyron Sy sig.png Pyron Sy 22:44, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Guild Wars Beyond isn't a campaign. So War in Kryta areas shouldn't be separated from Prophecies one when listing them on NPC pages. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 22:48, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Well, Eye of the North isn't a campaign either. But Guild Wars Beyond IS separate and distinct from everything else. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:51, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
It's still Guild Wars Prophecies you're playing. You need to own Eye of the North to get access to it's content. War in Kryta is a part of Prophecies. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 22:54, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
The fact that you can't access the NPCs that are part the Guild Wars Beyond campaign until you are able to access that content should, in and of itself, necessitate the need for the separation, but think about this... can you go to Talmark Wilderness and talk to Councilor Vaylor during the Prophecies campaign? Nope. Guild Wars Beyond is NOT part of Prophecies OR Eye of the North, that's why its called 'Beyond.'--MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 22:56, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Yes you can. You can complete Eye of the North instead of Prophecies to get into War in Kryta.
And i said WiK is a part of Prophecies, not GWB as a whole (where we're likely to see more content).
Plus, GWB isn't an expansion either. It's more like a special event :P - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 23:04, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
And that's why we're not listing it under the War in Kryta heading, but Guild Wars Beyond. And as more GWB content is released, more GWB-related NPC locations will be updated, too. So, before you continue your edit war with me, head over here and see that this isn't just my decision. War in Kryta is NOT part of the Prophecies campaign! Prophecies ends with the destruction of the Lich. WiK is part of GWB, if you need proof, go here, it is all listed on the GWB page. The fact that WiK is listed under the Prophecies heading is ONLY to show WHERE it takes place, not when. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:06, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Ok, you talked me out of it :D
I however posted a topic over NPC formatting talk to bring it outside user talk. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 23:14, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that would have been the thing to do to begin with. Thanks, JP. :P --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 23:46, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
I was thinking, should the discussion on Konig's talk be moved there instead?
When i look at it, only two plus you like this idea. And Riddle is opposing it. I'm a kinda fifty-fifty.
That's why i think it should be moved, so more people would notice it. - J.P.User J.P. sigicon.pngTalk 23:55, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, that's probably a good idea. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 01:09, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the title update, I was drawing one hell of a blank. I tried to see if maybe there are official titles to the dialogues but no dice. Anywho thanks for updating that for me Musha! For The Quin 05:12, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Tab template question

(Sorry, I'm still feeling my way around. Just moved this to a new header since I realized it wasn't the same thing...

Used your Tab template (thanks!) but I had a couple of questions. I've played around with it a lot but being a noob...can't seem to figure it out. Anyhow, I changed the tab colours (still using the professions format) but when I add text to the pages, the background stays white rather than matches the tab colour? =/ Also is there a way to make the Ruse Torrent tab (if you look at my page) to be the default tab when you just click on my username? IE, when people click on Ruse when I sign something, is there a way to make that page have a tab instead of just a blank page with a row of tabs to get to my info? Hope I'm making sense. -Ruse 03:05, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

And wanted to add that something like this user has is what I'm talking about. MG3 -Ruse 03:37, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, I think I know what you're talking about.. What you have now is just tabs, if you want to have colored backgrounds, etc, you'll have to create a table for each page or a template that you can use on each page. Here are some examples from my pages:
  • First of all, start with my tabs page for my characters. This is the starting place, similar to the page you've got goin' on.
  • If you actually click one of the links, Musha Shukou, for example, you will see a table, with color, lists, pictures, etc. If you click on any of the other character names you will see an identical layout, but with different colors, pics, etc. This is a template that I set up and have accessed on each page, with the specific parameters set for each individual page. So, to do this, I am actually combining 2 different templates: the tabs template and the character template on the same page. You can actually see the code for my character template here. This is the coding for a table setup. It looks rather complex because of all the switch functions I have called up, but it's actually pretty straight-forward.
  • If you don't want to bother with a template, what you can do is simply enter the code for your table directly on your page (underneath your tabs parameters, of course). One of my pages is set up this way here. Click on the edit function and you'll see the code. This page even has tables within tables so you can see how to have different boxed-off sections within your table.
  • You can actually find a tutorial for tables right here. But I learned best by looking at other peoples' code.
I'm not quite sure I fully understand your second question. If you're asking if it's possible to have your main userpage User:Ruse EXIST AS one of the tabs in your tabs template, the answer is yes. If, for example, you wanted people to be redirected directly to your Ruse Torrent page when they clicked your name, then all you would have to do is setup a redirect on your main userpage.
Lastly, that link you gave me is a broken link. It appears that no page exists there. I hope all this helps!!! :D--MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 08:28, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Hehe, let's see if this link worked. I posted that in a hurry last night and didn't really look at what I'd posted >.>; User:Cloud Xan See how his main page = the "home" tab? I want my main page to = the "Ruse Torrent" tab. Is that what would happen if I did a redirect? (I'm just making sure we're on the same page.) And you've been super helpful! I will get to work on it when next I grab some free time. I can't promise I won't still have questions, but at a glance I think you've covered all my problems. Much appreciated. :D -Ruse 17:08, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Yep, a redirect would accomplish exactly that. But if you didn't want to have to do a redirect, you would have to change the code in the tabs. The way I have set up the tabs is to have it create a new page based off the name you put in for the TabName# parameter. You could copy the code from my tabs page onto your own tabs page so you could play around with it and make changes to it. The change wouldn't be too difficult. You could set the first tab page to be your home page and remove the TabName1 parameter. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 20:43, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks again. I'll prolli just do a redirect for now, and maybe play with the code later after I've got everything else set up like I want it. Super appreciate the help. <3 I figured out the background. Things are chugging along. :D -Ruse 22:31, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
No prob. Have fun with your page and welcome to the wiki! --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 03:30, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

May I ask how you're so sure of this? I don't recall seeing her do any animations, and I don't think the female elementalist is the only one with that kind of standing position. -- Konig/talk 22:47, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

I went through each class and verified standing position, hands, fingers, etc. Ele matches 100%. There's no other class that matches it. Feel free to double check. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 01:50, 26 October 2010 (UTC)
Suppose I'm not surprised - most animations for human and human-looking females is the elementalist (ranger for males). -- Konig/talk 01:07, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
Haha. Yeah, that seems to be the running theme. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 01:18, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
