Hello, NuclearVII, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. [edit] Signature
Your signature is broken. — ク Eloc 貢 01:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- What's wrong with it? Wrong section, soz Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 20:54, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- Namely, the images don't seem to exist, so we just get a looooong bit of red links telling us that you seem to have intended to have images in it. Perhaps you should re-upload the sig image (probably named User NuclearVII sig image; i'm guessing the old one was deleted for not having the right name). - THARKUN
21:22, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- but then, I'd have to reupload that image back at GWW2 too! I can't be arsed to do that... what is wrorng with the reddies?
- No, actually your image works on GW2W, though the naming is the same as here and this one got deleted - you might have to change if a userpage/signature policy is ratified over there. And there's nothing wrong per se with the red links.. they're just long and kind of annoying.
- Technically, too, since you use nuke7 in your signature, you should register the username nuke7 and just have it redirect to your (NuclearVII) userpage.. though I can't find where that is in policy; perhaps someone else will hop in and help. See Help:Redirect for how to set up the redir. Also, for more details on images, see: GWW:SIGN#Images. - THARKUN
21:36, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
- What a waste of.. anyway, fine, I'll register nuke7, but not now. Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 16:56, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
- You don't need to do it with the current SIGN. That part forcing people to register the shoepuppet was one of the changes in the accepted proposal - however, if someone else registers as nuke7, you should change your signature to a more appropriate name. "While not an absolute requirement, it is common practice for a signature to resemble to some degree the user name it represents. " is the most it elaborates in regards to shortened signature names. --

- Wait, isn't this finally a wrong image naming? GWW:IMAGE says that user images should be prefixed by Image:User <username>, as your images are more or less named Image:<username>, they got deleted because of wrong naming. Finally, you would REALLY do a favor for me if you'd remove these two huge red links left and right around your name from your sig, i start getting an infarction everytime i have to look at this. - My beef is that if I change my sig here, It becomes a problem in GWW2. Uploading all of it feels like quite a hassle, and since the policies that screw up my sig also don't care of it as it is, I plan to leave it as a sign of pure anarchy. I know, it looks horrible. maybe - one day, I'll fix it, but since there is nothing forcing my hand now, I'd rather procrastinate. In other words, the policies is the scorpion, I'm the one drawing the gasoline circle and tossing the candle. Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg nuke7 Image:Nuclear7 sig image2.jpg 00:43, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- Should only have one image, not two. As the naming is incorrect, I've had to tag that for deletion. I'm sure you can find a compromise for the two wikis, but as of now, you shouldn't have the sig like that. --

[edit] Language
I'm a couple of days late, having not seen the discussion until now, but could you keep your language a little more clean please? The whole point of the skill feedback pages are to get Izzy to read them - with the language like that, I doubt that would even happen (assuming, of course, that he reads the discussion pages). Not only is it for him, but that sort of language just riles up other people and it'll end up in a flame war. Thanks --

- The size is a little too big. Also, you're not supposed to use a template to substitute it in. You could probably shorten the code down a bit though:
<span style="font-family:Castellan;color:#ff0000">NUKLEAR</span> <span style="font-family:Castellan;color:#ff0000">IIV</span>gets NUKLEAR Image:Image-User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV and it fits in the nickname thing.- The code is still quite long though, so you may want to think about taking some stuff out. --

[edit] Cracked armor
You should learn more about cracked armor, cause it is very powerful condition, I think, not only in TA:-) --Rain4est 00:44, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

Armor bonuses from shields, weapons, insignias and inscriptions are not affected and still stack."
Which means ... I think you can figure out:D
- You should learn that no serious player depends on armor to protect theor asses. Extra armor is a luxury, not a necessity. People can, and usually do survive with 60 armor. If you depend on having 80 armor to survive, well, gl&hf. And, how do you apply it with? Weaken armor? So, you use a bad curses skill to apply a meager pressure condition which will be fed to the other team's RC? Do you know why people choose to avoind needless condition application? THIS. Things like Apply poison are better because poison spreading usually does more damage than CA it self. NUKLEAR
IIV 08:20, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
Who takes RC to TA/HA/HB? This condition is gr8 (also against shield monks) helping counter armor stacking and offering do quick spikes even on targets with higher armor, again as far as HA/TA/RA is concidered. Can be used as a cover condition.
If I am not mistaken... watch with me (still I am not that good player as you, but maybe another view will help you see other dimensions of PvP):
Let me have my Monk with 81/91 armor and 510hp. Usually monks have 60, right. Difference between non-armor ignoring damage is 0,297 = which eaquals 29,7%. If cracked armor is applied before spike:
Total damage needed to kill target with 60AL. 510 non-armor ignoring damage.
Total damage needed to kill target with 81AL. 661 non-armor ignoring damage.
Difference 151 non-armor ignoring damage. In TA/RA/HB it also takes 5 enegy to heal + 5 energy to remove condition.
Again in TA/RA/HB this condition is extremly powerful when applied in good time. You can say Daze and Blind sux as well since we got RC. I am not talking about removability, but potency:-) What it really does... the effect is awesome.
As you know i dont play GvG and I am not playin HA too often. Just to demontrate the power of the condition as I see it. Let us have a SF spike team attacking warrior with 600 health and without my favorite Sentinel's insignia: Sf deals 106 fire damage @16/ 74 damage against our warrior which is 32 damage reduction. That means approx. after 2 Seafing flames casted, If sacrificed 1 Sf spell and useing Cracked armor instead makes a bit better effect.
2 Searing flames cast @60Al: 212
3 Searing flames cast @80Al: 222
In case we have 4(3 with cracked armor) Searing flame spikers casting on already buring target:
4 Searing flames cast @80Al: 296
3 Searing flames cast @60Al: 318
The difference is not much but it shows very potential of the condition that persists until removed(please dont use argument SF spikes sucks, it is not about SF spike but about potency of Cracked Armor)
Peace out!--Rain4est 12:29, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- First off, stop refering me as a pro player. I'm not half as good as many people I could point out to you. That being said, (also SF is awwright) cracked armor never sticks. We got Dismiss Conditions (awseome, rly.), we got MbaS, and of course RC. you can bring RC anywhere. RC is great. RC is great. RC is rly rly great. Oh, and if someone is targeted by anything, SF spike, warrior auto attacks, etc. and if the defending team lets CA stick that team deserves to get mown down like blades of grass. mostly, the SF target (if your example) will get RC'ed, healing for 140ish, and losing both burning and CA. [edit] Any Chance?
Is there any chance PvE skills are deliberately overpowered to get average and below average players to get at least 10-15 Maxed titles? I reckon amount of people ranting now about imbalanced Ursan are no where near what would be if people were unable to work on their titles before GW2 due to lack of players, after all no one is forced to use PvE skills, just that its Meta =P P.S. Cake is what? Biz 07:00, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
- Its mostly Epeening, tbh. People get bigger epeens when they get grind based titles, one of the reasons wow is so popular. It promotes the welfare for players who can't play for shit, but will gladly grind to make worthless shit like titles, again, just like WoW. People would still spam for titles even if they did not transfer to GW2. GW2 is just icing on the cake - you get rewarded in another life if you grind a lot of shit (Religion, much?). Cake is anything but a lie. -- NUKLEAR

- lol, well said, NuclearVII — ク Eloc 貢 00:51, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
- I was on the other side, but for a different reason. Profession discrimination was my issue- when proffessions get excluded from areas solely because their skillsets are completely useless there, something is wrong. Ursan is NOT and ideal fix, as I said many times. It should be nerfed- once they fix the rest of PvE, which they can now do. And I actually do agree with you in the title argument- grind titles are stupid, they should have done something interesting with them. --Kalas Silvern 09:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Balance Ideas
It seems that we have similar ideas in certain areas- namely the problem of balancing around stalling. We should try to think of possible solutions instead of arguing with each other about issues of whether or not classes are inherently gimmicks- and I'm just as guilty of that as anyone. If you think it's a good idea, put a comment on my talk page, and hopefully we can come up with some ideas that could fix this game (even though they'll probably be ignored- but at least we can say we tried). --Kalas Silvern 09:19, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

- Alright, sounds great. Admittedly, I'm more focused on the expansion classes and turning them into alternates instead of replacements. Ideally something will come of this, and we can find a way to bring diversity back to guild wars... though it's not going to be easy. If you'd like, I'll start thinking of how to improve/fix the expansion classes. The core ones are all yours, I don't have as much experience with those. --Kalas Silvern 06:00, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

God, I think reading that killed my braincells that binge drinking Jack Daniel's didn't get. . . Thanks, it'll make my third year in Iraq less painful. Maybe I'll go find myself a nice sized roadside bomb at put myself out of my misery, lol. --Rururrur 18:06, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

- Does that mean New York City would have to clean up? Wow, I can just picture it now, being filmed on networks, CNN, and everything else, with boring voiceovers totally ruining the atmosphere. This has got to be ranking right up there on the weirdest ideas ever. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 20:33, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Because name calling is fun...
Don't. NPA and all that stuff aside, even anons have the right to make nonsensical suggestions. If you have something to say, argue against the proposal, not the user who proposed it.--Fighterdoken 06:50, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
That was idiotic. There points where I just can't waste time explaining myself. As for tolerating bad suggestions - I think those pages a need a little less people who actually know about the game. It's okay to make a suggestion - It's not okay to try to sound like you have experience, when you suggestion is clearly bad. So, too bad. -- NUKLEAR
IIV 09:37, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
If you cant waste time explaining yourself, then how can you waste time insulting the users. He wasn't really trying to sound like he had experience, and yeah, his suggestion sucked, but I've made bad ones myself, as have you. Fighterdoken's point is valid, and you dont have anywhere near the following required to flagrantly break rules ;) --Angelic Loki 09:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, yes, he did. By openly posting up on that suggestion page. I would be okay with it if he went up to his talkpage, said, "you know, I think Dshot has this problem...", but instead, he went to the suggestion page, which, I quote: "Low cost and constant 20 second disable time allow overuse by secondary rangers". By stating that as an issue, he assumed his opinion to be fact. This I cannot tolerate. If I said "Iraq war was bad", would you be asking for an explanation? No.
- Look, my beef was not with the suggestion. OP was an idiot to openly state his fictitious issue as fact and making a, frankly, moronic suggestion on a page where we expect to take people seriously.
- Finally, and I'm going to say this quite nicely, this is none of your business. While I appreciate a friendly warning, or merely a comment, Fighterdoken brought it up, and it is with fighterdoken, - whom, tbh, was also butting in - I'd rather discuss with him. If the OP wants to complain about my supposed breach of NPA, I'd be more than welcome to explain myself. But I don't need, and this is my sweetest voice, anybody else backseating. kthnx. -- NUKLEAR

Hey, you're starting to sound like a jilted lover on a soap opera or something about ursan at the moment; you're not looking very good out there. Step away for a day or two. Find a (physical) punching bag, maybe. The debate will still be there when you get back. --Star Weaver 22:28, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Izzy the wizzy
So I suck at comming up with subject lines, but thats another issue altogether... I was informed you responded to me on the little talk/debate we where having on Izzy's page but he was evil and archived a lot of stuff appearantly and since I'm not used the the wiki's I can't find it with the extremely limited time I have at the moment thanks to work. So my apologies on the lack of response and sadly it may take longer still to get one until my work stops with the tug of war. So I will eventually respond, less I forget about it again or get ran over by a reindeer... :p ~
Sabastian 00:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- ...okay, I guess? Don't feel too compelled to, though, because it was made of (percent composition by volume) 30% correct, 45% flame flame flame, 20% pent up anger, and only 5% win. -- NUKLEAR
IIV 01:01, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, I make it a point to try and respond to anyone I am having a debate/talk with as it just seems rude to simply ignore them and I try to let people know what is up in said debate should something arise as it usually is the more polite thing to do after all. ~
Sabastian 01:07, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Judging by your little run-on, I'm assuming you're in a rush IRL. I can wait, I assure you. Just say I hate you, and I'll say I love you, and we'll be done. Saves us both hassle, tbh. -- NUKLEAR
