GuildWiki[edit]

This made me smile a bit: Category:Users/NoOfficalWiki @ GuildWiki. So you are NOT supporting the official wiki (which is this one), but you do make contributions to it... That's a bit strange, isn't it. :-) -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 17:29, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

The funniest part is that Official is spelt wrong :p --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 17:30, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Haha, I didn't even notice that. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 17:44, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, like I'm making A LOT of edits... My main source of information is GW, and not GWW. I still think that GWW shouldn't start from scratch but from GW data, that the licences should be sorted, and primarily, that GWW should have come online a lot sooner. Note that I don't keep a Userpage here, but link to GW. Still, that's just my opinion. I bet there are people that know better, and this wiki is definitely growing and slowly but surely is becoming what it should be from the start. I also want to see an Official Guild Wars 2 Wiki in the future, and that a Guild2Wiki won't be needed. Now, when you dig yourself out of all those things that don't glue together art all, let me know :P — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 23:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

Vandal reporting[edit]

Hey Poki, if you need to report someone for vandalism as you did on the Community Portal talk page you should use the Admin Noticeboard, that way it gets noticed quicker and can be dealt with :) --Kakarot Talk 19:28, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Didn't know about the noticeboard. Will use that to report vandals in the future, thanks. In other news, looks like the vandals on that page didn't like other people reverting their stuff... sigh... — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 20:32, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

curious[edit]

you seem to respond to the GW and GW2 suggestion pages a lot...any..particular reason as to why? (i may just be missing some stuff, but thats the only place where ive seen you post :P)--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 21:28, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Only GW1. Because I'm bored and there's too many people posting stupid and abstract suggestions. (To name one: Ban the French! At least it make my guild laugh between HA maps.) — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 21:55, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
eh....you posted on GW2 a little....but u are entitlesd to your opinion i guess.....imo, some of the ideas were pretty good--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 18:27, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
There are good ideas that look easy to implement, good ideas that look like too much trouble, neutral ideas (2 kinds), bad ideas, and ideas posted by idiots :P — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 11:45, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

well...when it comes to GW2, any good idea can be done, coplicated, simple, or anything inbetween :D--User Raph Sig.pngRaph Talky 13:28, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

some guy posted that you should be able to use cars. good ideas?Oni User talk:Oni 20:24, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Signature image[edit]

Hi. Just wanted to point that your sig's image had already been deleted before because of copyvio, so you may want to change it to a new one after (if) it gets deleted again.--Fighterdoken 02:44, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm using that image as my Avatar everywhere. I also have a gif, but animated images are against the rules. Go on, delete the Internet. — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 23:32, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Guild Wars[edit]

Didn't want to add to Linsey's page any further, but this is about if GW is a PvX game or not. It depends really. I don't think just because it has PvE means it's automatically a PvX game, if that's the case that means that Fury is a PvX game because you could fight bots. But Fury is a PvP game because it was built from the ground up to be a competitive game, just like Guild Wars. (#2 in that video) Everything in the first 2 chapters in the PvE experience just screams "built for PvP". Prophecies was longer to give people more time to learn the game, and since back then there wasn't any Balthazar Faction it was easier to unlock Skills because you'd get them from quests etc, and the Desert was built to simulate PvP game types. Factions was insanely short to help out Guild War's original goal which was to use PvE as a learning area that would send people off to the "end game" which was PvP. Of course, Nightfall changed things to be more PvE focused because not many people listened to their interviews or their original advertisizing which were very very very very PvP focused, and so they made the game into a generic MMO and more PvX. The game was originally a PvP game, and I think you can still argue it is since PvP is still the focus, there's just a lot more PvE content on the side to make the people who want generic MMO happy. Umm... what are you talking about? If what I think yuo are, then my comment was just a response to Shard. He said that you can tell that Guild Wars is a PvP game by looking at the box. I did, and only saw evidence of a PvX game (on the box). I have no interest in that discussion, really, since I know what I like about the game, and I don't need people telling me that what I like wasn't what the game was made for or vice-versa. Please don't come to me with sharp points. ...well that sounded a bit harsh, but really, does it matter what the game was made for? If you look at the beta trailer for GW you can see a whole different game. The goals probably changed over time. let's look at GW for what it is NOW, and not for what it wanted to be 4 years ago. Right now it's a PvX game with something for everybody. — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 21:24, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
lol, I didn't mean to come at you with "sharp points" at all, I'm just saying politely. I was trying to expand upon Shard's point on why it can be considered a PvP game, but about the box thing I think he might be referring to the Heroes Ascent part, but even then that doesn't necessarily prove his point so I'll agree with you in that respect. He would have had a stronger point if he mentioned the interviews or advertisizing for the game, you're correct in that the box doesn't directly mention it (at least, the original huge Prophecies box doesn't, I haven't seen the new Prophecies box styled like the Nightfall/Factions/EotN ones). If you want to archive this or w/e, go for it, just thought I'd say something without adding to the huge page Linsey already has. :) DarkNecrid 21:38, 2 May 2009 (UTC)
The politeness of my response didn't work out... at all, sorry about that. And I was looking at the original GW box I got 4 years ago almost, but It's the European version and it's also localized into 3 languages, so I bet it's "a bit" different and more brief. I still call shenanigans to his argument :P — Poki#3 My Talk Page :o 21:42, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

Hey[edit]

How did you render your character so perfectly? ChaosBurst

Ugh... Someone else made it for me, but I don't remember who >.<
I used a program (that I don't remember the name of either. 3D Analyzer maybe? Not sure.) to capture renders of my character standing on the character select screen, sent the captures to that person, and then he imported that to 3DS Max and took my character model out of the environment and made a clean render for me.
