Hello, Riven, and welcome to the Official Guild Wars Wiki! If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to add a message to my talk page. I highly recommend that you check out the "Welcome to the wiki" page - it's extremely useful as an initial guide. Best of luck and happy editing! Sig[edit]

Hi, could u please take a look at GWW:SIGN, your signature must include your name and the image must be 19x19 ~ KurdKurdsig.png 15:53, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Fixed, sorry about that.   User Riven sigicon.png [riVen]  17:24, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
And besides that, your signature can not exceed a length of 150 characters according to GWW:SIGN#Length. At the moment, your signature uses 225 characters. I hope you'll be able to downsize your signature to that amount. It will ruin the formatting you use, but it makes for much easier comment-navigation on talk pages. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 11:09, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Bite me. Stupid official wiki and its stupid rules.   User Riven sigicon.png [riVen]  16:12, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Instead of becoming obviously hostile, why don't you chime in at Guild_Wars_Wiki_talk:Sign_your_comments#Signature length? Wiki's can only work if every user is abiding by the policies set and if you don't like the policy, you are more than welcome to make a comment on the talk page of the policy you don't like. And personally, I find your comment quite rude. I'm only trying to help. -- CoRrRan (CoRrRan / talk) 16:23, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
You seem to think that I care. I really don't. It's either gonna be    User Riven sigicon.png [riVen]  or User Riven sig2.png, both violate the silly rules and I couldn't care much less about it ;) Have a nice day.   User Riven sigicon.png [riVen]  17:06, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

~ KurdKurdsig.png 22:45, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Note: Regardless of your opinion on the issue, it IS policy. If/when the policy is revised, you could lengthen it again at that point - but it should remain within current length limits in the interim. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 04:21, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

A lack of respect for the wiki community can result in administrative action being taken. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 14:46, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Oooh, do I get to see the BanStick3000™ in action?   User Riven sig2.png    16:39, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
At this stage, a ban isn't needed - other options exist. However, if you fail to abide by community established policies, actions will be taken. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 19:16, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Yay, I'm anxious to have a look at the BanStick3000™. I've heard it's an excellent model.   User Riven sig2.png    21:00, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

If you insist on breaking the policy even after several warnings, you will get blocked. You new sig Image:User Riven sig3.png is tagged for deletion. - anja talk 17:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Great, go for it. I wonder if you can also ban any proxy that I will be using in the future? That's gonna be a day job for you then :)   File:User Riven sig3.png    17:36, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
No, I wont be able to, but I'm not alone if you wish to try to get around policy just for this minor issue :) - anja talk 17:40, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Ah, correct, all of the sysops/admins will have their hands full, then :)
Minor issue indeed, but apparently there's plenty of people active on this wiki that fail to see how retarded the policy in question is. I tried, but if no one can be arsed to open their eyes, then I will do it my way.   File:User Riven sig3.png    17:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Let me give you a bit of advise: I have been on this wiki (and guildwiki before) for quite a long time now. There have been many people who resorted to threads about disrupting the wiki. And several of those actually did do something. Look where all those people are now: They are forgotten, like all the other numerous vandals, while the wiki still stands. You might be surprised, but there have also been people before who thought that breaking a policy is a good way of changing it. Result: The people arguing FOR those person's prefered view had a harder stand, those persons lost considerable standing in the wiki community (and some got a ban eventually) and the policy change just went its normal (slow and consensus driven) way.
So believe me: By doing this you will not achieve your goal. --Xeeron 18:09, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Luckily, I do not care for 'losing standing' or getting banned. I do not need access to this account to continue contributing to this wiki or to use my preferred sig. That's what proxy servers are for.   File:User Riven sig3.png    18:22, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Do you also not care for the fact that your actions make it harder for those who want to change the signature length rule? --Xeeron 18:33, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
There was a perfectly fine, non-disrupting, policy draft made, yet some people find it necessary to strongly oppose it for the wrong reasons (look at MisterPepe's oh-so-funny but invalid argument for example). If a decent policy ever comes into existance, then that's great, but in the mean time I'm not going to obey the current ridiculous policy.   File:User Riven sig3.png    18:43, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

Hey[edit]

Hey dude, I was checking out your guild, they sound pretty cool and exactly what I am looking for, I put in an application on your forums, I hope to do GvG with you guys if possible if I can become a member. You guys are Kurzick right? Hit me back with a reply on if I am welcome! -Rakeman 05:17, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Heya, one of the officers will get back to you soon. Things are a bit slow while we are waiting for Eye of the North, heh.   User Riven sigicon.png [riVen]  06:44, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:User_Riven_sig3.png[edit]

The above named image was removed as it is in violation of GWW:SIGN, as well as an effort to bypass the restriction on Image:User_Riven_sig2.png. Further attempts to so bypass policy enforcement may result in a block. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 20:39, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

As you've chosen to disregard this warning, you've been blocked for 1 day. While you may disagree with wiki policy, that does not give you permission to go violate it. Go to Aiiane's Talk page (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 21:19, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Ok.  File:User Riven sig3.png   21:34, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
O_o. hai! File:User Riven sig4.png 21:51, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
This is stupid. I don't see how the image is in violation in the first place...and certainly not block-worthy! I firmly oppose this block as it seems to be nothing more than a show of power to try and prove a point that has no real basis. --ChronicinabilitY User Chronicinability Spiteful Spirit.jpg 19:05, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, it technically was in violation of the policy, but yeah still a load of bullshit.    User Riven sigicon.png    00:03, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
just go with it ffs, you're acting like a fcking loser, but i guess thats what u are, go on and bitch against policys, no one thinks ure cool or anything --Cursed Angel talk 11:11, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't think you've noticed that Riven changed it after the last objections, cursed angel. The previous entries here were in August so Eloc bring this up on GWW:ADMIN was just troublemaking. CA, please try not to be so aggressive in future.Cassie 11:35, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Cursed Angel... go find a fire. Then go die in it. Ktnx.   User Riven sigicon.png    08:51, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
And for the record, "no one thinks ure cool or anything", oh the irony.   User Riven sigicon.png    08:57, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

May I suggest...[edit]

That you and User:Cursed Angel not speak to or of each other, given that any such conversation appears to rapidly degenerate to something which we do not like to see (and is most likely in violation of policy) on this wiki.
