Scout's RA Buildz That Pwnz

This page will contain descriptions and analyses of the RA builds that I made - Scout

"I Used To Date A Firefighter" (Mesmer/Elementalist)[edit]

Fast Casting : 14 Fire Magic : 12

"And he taught me how to make fire instead..."

Remember the famous Flareway gimmick build that used to own HA about 2 years ago? If not, you are a noob and since I'm concerned, here's a build that will make you less noob.

The build basically goes a lil something like this: Just get Fire Attunement and Elemental Attunement up, use Mark of Rodgort on a target and spam flare on it. Warriors usually get more pain from your Flare spam coz they have no inherent defense against elemental damage. Of course, before you do the warriors, do the monks first or the mesmer (shatter enchant, signet of disenchant) or the necro (rend/corrupt/envenom enchant) who can remove both of your enchantments. Emergency energy acquisition is available via Glowing Gaze because Mark of Rodgort makes sure that they're always on fire and Firestorm is there to disperse melee zergers.

The only defenses you have in this build are your offensive spells and Flame Djinns haste, an enchantment that gives you speed boost for kiting and griefing.

This build is fun to play if you got a decent monk in your team. Otherwise, it's still fun to play and the survivability w/o decent healers is about 2-3 rounds.

"I Used To Plow The Fields" (Warrior/Paragon)[edit]

Resurrection Signet.jpgSprint.jpgEndure Pain.jpg"For Great Justice!".jpgBackbreaker.jpgCrushing Blow.jpgMighty Blow.jpgSignet of Aggression.jpg

Hammer Mastery : 14 Strength : 13

Backbreaker here. Backbreaker there. Backbreaker everywhere.

Backbreaker is an expensive adrenal skill. Basically to activate it, you have to wait for 10 hammer swings which is roughly equivalent to 10 seconds without any attack speed boost. But its worth to invest 10 hammer swings because once it's activated, you can basically pound a noob monk on the ground, making him not get up for 4 seconds. And there are a lot of things that can happen within that 4 seconds of absence of any healing or support. That 4 second of knockdown can also help mitigate damage from a persistent melee attacker.

There are stances that help you gain those adrenaline faster but Imma tell you their catches. Flail slows your movement. Frenzy reduces your armor. Flurry reduces your damage. Lightning Reflexes is under Expertise. Tigers Fury is gay now. Those stances are teh sux but again thank A.NET for "For Great Justice!" and Signet of Aggression that those will give you huge amount of adrenaline even before youre swinging your PvE weapon or getting hit by some kinda wand or something.

The trick: Use "For Great Justice!" and then use Signet of Aggression 3X and you'll have a fully charged Backbreaker that you can use to own a noob monk from teh other side. Not only that, you can basically gain massive amounts of adrenaline even when youre blind or you're always being blocked. Signet of Aggression is a second cast so you can freely use it in between heavy action.

Healing? Since the build has no block stances to prevent a Heal Signet to be distracted by rangers (which are often played by RAers), Endure Pain is used. Just make sure that when Endure Pain is up, really ownz 2-3 targets coz most likely you'll be dead when Endure Pain goes down, but that is if you don't have a monk in your team.

"Vizier Khilbron in Motion" (Necromancer/Warrior)[edit]

Resurrection Signet.jpgCorrupt Enchantment.jpgEnvenom Enchantments.jpgParasitic Bond.jpgDisciplined Stance.jpgHealing Signet.jpgShield Stance.jpgPrice of Failure.jpg

Curses: 16 Soul Reaping: 3 Tactics: 12

This skill bar takes advantage of RA's propensity to spawn classes that use a lot of enchantments and almost skill-less melee classes.

Enchantments are teh sux in RA. Shield of Deflection, Shield of Regeneration, Guardian and Protective Spirit are often used by RA monks and those enchantments make them hard to kill even your team has three rank 11 iway warriors. Mystic Regeneration and other Dervish enchantments make dervishes almost invincible, allowing them to just charge in, killing your mending monk and then finishing the rest of your team right away. Dual attunements, which are also enchantments, can give almost infinite energy to a blind bot and can make your 4 man melee team look like a bunch of sissies. But thank A.NET, you decided to this leetzor RA template build.

Corrupt Enchantment, at 16 curses, not only removes a single enchantment from a target but also gives -8 degeneration for 10 seconds. And to make sure that the degeneration goes maxed, use Envenom Enchantments (be sure to satisfy the conditions tho) to add -4 degeneration pips via Poison that will also last for 10 seconds. So no more problems with those enchantment dependent classes and your warrior team mate will surely be happy smashing stuffs.

Plus a bonus. If your inexperienced monk doesn't want to kite because he thinks that not dying after taking lots of damage is what make good monks, Price of Failure will at least help him feel good about himself. Not only that, you can basically kill melee classes that wish to take you down by using Price of Failure on them and using your Block Stances. Of course, self healing is also available via Healing Signet, just in case your monk in the team is a Smiting one.

Enjoy!

The template was previously named "Archimonde in Motion" but since "Archimonde" is a WoW character, I had to change it.. --Scout 07:01, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
