[edit] Links in cinematic dialogue
why are you removing them, if I may ask? :o — Why

- Imo I don't think dialogue should have links in it. Especially if we put it on the mission pages as well. — Seru

[edit] Drama level
Please remember that it is still Lemming's user space, so it would be nice to leave the decision if the level has changed to him. poke | talk 20:51, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tagging copyvios
When you tag copyvios could you please specify the source of the copyvio. If you don't know the source, try asking the uploader. It's helpful when it comes to deleting the images and if people wish to dispute the candidacy for deletion. Thanks, --

I shouldn't have to login to make a change to my own User Page. Just never ever ever EVER EVER touch anyones page but your own. And what he did was a violation of [1]--'ÑöẊĭƑý

- If people should "never ever ever EVER EVER touch anyones page but your own" then surely that also applies to random IPs changing people's user pages. How was he/are we meant to know who's IP who's.- TheRave

- I somewhat agree with Noxify. When an anonymous edit to a userpage looks legitimate, assume good faith. Don't revert unless it's obvious vandalism, e.g. replacing things with LOLNOOB and whatnot. By the way - Noxify, could you use internal links [[like this]]? --

- Sorry i guess I wont try and stop unknown people from editing your page. I did check the history and that ip had never changed the page before. It's not like i just reverted an IPs edits. — Seru

- Hey, if we want to wiki-lawyer things, remember that AGF is just a guideline, not a policy. You can't really "violate" a guideline (you could totally rape the meaning of it, though).--Fighterdoken 00:14, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- That reminds me of the Codex in PotC... "only guidlines." Noctarch 01:30, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

- "Just a guideline" doesn't mean it can't be enforced or violated. I'd say assuming good faith is more important than some of our other policies; it forms the basis of a wiki. --

- I can usually AGF but you can't always assume good faith when its an IP editing a userpage, because IPs do not have a userpage. If its obvious that an IP has edited the page before then i don't mess with it, but it that case that was a different IP then previously edited with. — Seru
Talk 21:37, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- Taking a look at the edit in question would help in such a case - if it looks like vandalism, revert; in any other case, I'd say just leave it. It really depends on what the edit comprises of. --

Talk 23:49, 8 October 2008 (UTC)
- If i edited one of your pages like that would that be vandalism? — Seru
Talk 00:00, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Different scenario. I, as well as others, know for sure that you are not me; we own different user accounts and there's no way that my userpage is your userpage. Your edit would probably be reverted, unless it was a maintenance edit or something. With an IP editing a userpage, it's possible that the IP is that user; you can assume good faith and not look at the edit at all, or you could look at the edit and come to an educated guess as to whether it is that user logged out (and assume some good faith and leave it) or a malicious edit. A user can be both registered and unregistered, whereas you cannot be both you and me. --

Talk 00:16, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Ah; if, for some reason, you used an IP and edited a character page of mine and changed a goal from incomplete to complete, I'd hope people left it. It could be me; I could have completed something in-game, come onto the wiki but not logged in, and updated my character page. Completely plausible and no reason, really, why it should be reverted -- from the points of view of other people. When the real me comes online, I'd revert because I'm the only person who knows for sure that it wasn't me. If it was me on an IP, I'd expect the situation to be the same; plausible unregistered edit and un-reverted. --

(Reset indent) So... could we just sum this up to "Don't revert anon edits on userpages unless you first check what the changes are and only if you are sure the changes are vandalism"? The first statement from Noxify looks like an exageration (and is not really valid anyways, maintenance happends), and Brains standing seems like an attempt to generalize his own point of view over the issue.--Fighterdoken 00:38, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for backing me up Brains. Anyway, you should get the point now. You going and reverting random peoples user pages because an anon made an edit is prettym uch trolling. --'ÑöẊĭƑý
