Greetings[edit]

Hi, welcome to the wiki! I noticed you were editing your userpage. Did you know you can use the Show Preview button to see your current changes before you save? This will help keep the list of Recent Changes clean, which many people patrol for vandals. Also, there is a little tab named "This is a minor edit". This little tab will hide your small edit for those you have minor edits disabled. Thanks, and let me know if you need help! :) --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 04:47, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry, I must have made small tweaks on my userpage a hundred times. I didn't know this would be registerd and shown to others. I am now aware of it and I will remember to press the minor edits tab. I'm sorry for any trouble or spam messages I may have caused. Also, I really didn't know how to reply to this message of yours. Is this the right way, or should I do it differently? -- Titus The Third User titus the third.png 04:56, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Yup, you're doing it correctly :). No worries about it, everyone is new at some point. Let me know if you have any other questions though, I'll be happy to help! --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 05:17, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

If you re-arrange the letters in your name...[edit]

You can make Third Tits Ehu. Isn't that interesting? Vael Victus Pancakes. 03:28, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

LMAfuckingAO! That is the most random message ever! But hey!, thanks for pointing that out, a really interesting matter. LOL, made my day!-- Titus The Third User titus the third.png 05:36, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, Titus, I couldn't resist, seeing your reaction to Gaile's link on a certain page... —Cake! Ebañy Salmonderiel 18:43, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
You are forgiven, almost *thinking of how to repay the favour*=D -- Titus The Third User titus the third.png 10:24, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Heroes of Tyria; a work in progress[edit]

Moved to User:Titus The Third/Heroes of Tyria

Hi there![edit]

First of all, I'm sorry for breaking your page here but that's exactly what I wanted to tell you about.
Talk pages are mainly for people to communicate with you, so they can end up being quite a mess.
So... to my point: You can create seperate pages for things like that nice story you're writing (e.g. User:Titus The Third/Heroes of Tyria) so that when people like me come along and leave you a message, it doesn't ruin the things you're working on ^^; --KivahTalk 09:54, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for your comment and no need to apologize. That was what I intended to do at first, but I didn't really know how to start a new page (pretty simple though; just make a link and fill in the page, no? - what I did anyway). So the story ended up on my talk page. Anyway; it's now corrected, thank you for your input! =) -- Titus The Third User titus the third.png 10:03, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Ahh I see, but yep, it's that simple to make a new page ^^ - Also, I've read it now and I'm looking forward to you finishing the whole project =P Good luck! --KivahTalk 10:08, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
Thank you! =) -- Titus The Third User titus the third.png 10:09, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

nope[edit]

the family tree template won't work on this wiki because we don't have arraymaps. -Chieftain Alex 18:47, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

I managed to trigger two substantial errors while fixing the template to work here.. "Pages where expansion depth is exceeded" + "Pages where template include size is exceeded". Deleted some stuff and everything works! -Chieftain Alex 23:25, 10 May 2014 (UTC)
Haha. The amount of work you put down to get my stupid trees working... :P Thanks again!
Just FYI: I tagged all the family members with a {{see|... family tree}} both on the gw1 and gw2 Wiki. The only ones I didn't tag are the three Orrian Princes, Wade Samuelsson, Shiro Tagachi and Chan the Dragon's Blood. Since they're extremely remotely related, and since it won't add much (or any) value to their articles. I might have already overdone it a bit by tagging all the wives for Oswald. :P Titus The Third User titus the third.png 14:39, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Generally {{See}} is for the top of a subsection to direct the reader to a page that more thoroughly covers the topic of that section, e.g. Dwarf#Deldrimor. I would recommend instead a ==See also== section, near the bottom just above notes and trivia, e.g. Dwarf#See also. - Tanetris (talk) 16:55, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess you're right. The first tag I added, I think, was to gw2:Mad King Thorn under the "History" section. Which was a bit more appropriate than having it under no section at all. If somebody "seconds you", I'll change it to ==See also== sections. Just want to double-confirm "the right way" before I do it, since there are quite many articles to edit :P. Is there anyone else who shares Tanetris' opinion, or have a different opinion/suggestion? Titus The Third User titus the third.png 17:18, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
Edit: before I change it, where exactly am I to put the ==See also== section in the more complex articles (e.g.)? Is there a standard template for article setup somewhere that I can follow? Titus The Third User titus the third.png 19:25, 15 May 2014 (UTC)
There are the practices and processes and the equivalent here, but neither of them cover "See also" sections. The way I (and I think most people) order "non-standard" sections is to consider them "back matter", along with notes and trivia. I usually put == Gallery == after all the "main" sections, immediately above notes, and == See also == and == External links == sections after notes and trivia, but above references. That way the end of the article is essentially a list of relevant links for further reading. --Santax (talk · contribs) 10:28, 16 May 2014 (UTC)

GW1 is now a painful experience for returning players...[edit]

Trying to log in to my old GW1 account was just a horrifying experience. The reset password link doesn't work, NCSoft password reset ain't working, nothing is. And the submit a request (https://support.guildwars.com) just freezes when I hit submit. Sure, GW1 is not a game that's being supported with any resources anymore - but I thought that the general things like "reset password" would work for a game that you can - after all - still buy. :S Fuck this, nice way to ruin my day... Titus The Third User titus the third.png 21:21, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

You can try what is mentioned at GWW:FAQ#How do I change my password?. Or you can emailing support. --Silver Edge 22:07, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
If you linked the two accounts (gw1 + 2) then the passwords should be the same no? (at least when I changed my password for gw1 I did it via the gw2 site password management bit). -Chieftain Alex 23:11, 30 September 2014 (UTC)
Weird. I tried using my GW2 password, but it didn't work. However, I did as you suggested: went in and changed my password through the GW2 account - and now it works! :) Thanks a lot! :) P.S. Sorry for the less constructive post above... Titus The Third User titus the third.png 10:22, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
