Hi

Just saying "hi" — glad you are able to keep contributing. (I haven't had the time to lurk here, let alone edit.) Hope all is well and that you are still enjoying GW1. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:00, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for the visit. Your presence is missed, with our GWW Sean Connery (older mentor to young new wiki-ers) gone, nobody else has taken such seat and the empty spot is felt. I still recall two topics that I left pending with you. The "Guilds" pages in the main space, which I lost interest because I don't plan to buy GW2. And the Urgoz's Warren guidance (User:Yoshida Keiji/Urgoz's Warren - Safeway) which I have worked on up to around 80% and still needs to be finished, I hope you get a chance to read it.
I will be around here until GW Beyond for Nightfall comes live, then I will just go another place. If we don't get to see each other again like we used to, I hope some time in the future we meet again in another game's wiki. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 09:26, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
re: the "guilds" pages in main space. I suspect that will never go anywhere. The original GWW guild documentation system left a bad impression on the community and arguably, a wiki about documenting the game isn't the best place for it. I believe it could be drastically improved, but ...I don't think there will be a critical mass of respected contributors supporting it, at least not until GW2 is 2-3 years old.
re: Urgoz Warren "safeway." I will take a look at that and try to find time to offer you feedback. I think it's a great idea to offer walkthroughs like that for elite content. Many dungeons/special zones are only difficult because people come unprepared; they don't really require a specialized team except to power through them more quickly. I hope you have time/interest to keep up with that type of work.
Next time a free trial of GW2 comes along, I hope you'll give it a try. I had a lot of concern about GW2 before it came out (and I was not impressed after my first session of BETA testing), but I love the game now. With few exceptions, it has all the things in GW1 I like, only better. And, again with few exceptions, the things I was concerned about have either turned out to be unimportant or I now I like the current system. In particular, I thought restricting skills to the use of a particular weapon was weird and restrictive/paternalistic, but now I prefer it — there's much more variation in build/style than I thought. I can't promise that you will like GW2 as much as I do, but... I was pleasantly surprised.
Finally, thanks for your kind words. (Always wanted to be Sean Connery ;-) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 17:17, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
  • Guilds: I know that in GWW there won't be much interest. When I looked into that matter I was trying to learn more about the wiki so that such knowledge could be of use to me in the future whenever a new game goes live and also supports a wiki. Because GWW has been my first wiki experience and I arrived ultra-late (my account is registered for long ago, but I really started to contribute since December of 2011 -a year ago-), and also because I don't know any other game that I may know great deal about to be able to make comparisons between which progressed better in certain aspects than the other. I went to check how a wiki is affected immediately after a game is released in GW2W (although that community was already set years ahead) but couldn't observe much because without the game is impossible to tell how much a game is properly documented. Now my new step is to go to the original Wikipedia and take a deep look around how management works there. I did this before already, for example: with Check User, I went to Wikipedia to read the original idea but when I came back here to GWW, things were different and had to ask what happened. I will be learning from now on how the original works and how it changes a wiki that has been adapted to a MMORPG, so that in the future hopefully I can join another video game wiki from its early stages and participate in the organization better. As you said yourself "documentation system left a bad impression on the community", I was wandering if I were to had found about this earlier, would I had been able to help in the documentation (which I had been very meticulous during my little time -e.g. Hero Behavior) to make it better. My concern started because people searched me and instead of finding about my current guild, they found elders instead and were confused/scared, which called my attention because some guild pages had been deleted but others retained when a single player cannot be in more than one guild; the decisions were not consistent to me. Of course, as I said months ago, the guild space had really been of very good use to me but I never managed to share such opinions because I was leaving it for later after a research which eventually I did not start.
  • Trial download: Yes, I already mentioned long time ago that I would play a free version once it is released if ever.
Sorry for the very long response. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 11:50, 11 January 2013 (UTC)
Ah, I see the confusion. In my very strong opinion, the reason for the failure of the GWW guild article system was social, not technical. It's not the documentation, it's the fact that too much documentation is required to make the system work. Compare this to the requirements for user pages: there are a handful of rules that boil down to: don't be too much of an asshole on your own pages, be respectful of others on their talk pages, and don't mess around with someone else's user pages without a good reason. In contrast, only a wiki and GWW expert could really keep track of all the rules we had about guild articles.
The problem with such as system is that it requires maintenance: someone has to review the guild articles for compliance, someone has to fix or delete non-compliant ones. GW2W punted this controversy by allowing people to post guild articles in their own user pages, making the given user responsible for maintenance.
The worst thing about the GWW guild article system (even today) is that for that effort, the wiki is no better off. The Feedback space requires somewhat less maintenance effort and it provides an important tool for sharing suggestions with ANet and with each other. Plus, some of the rules are requires for legal reasons. (I do think we could have made that system simpler, too, but... not the topic under discussion here.)
tl;dr there's no way to fix the documentation to make the guild space better — we have to simplify the requirements/conditions and create easily-used tools for people to maintain their own pages. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:10, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

Good Morning Friend

It has been a while since I worked on any of my pages here. I have been busy playing and adding new members to my guild. My guild treasurer is User:Simon_of_Aragon and I just finished his page last night. Be sure to stop by and say hello to him. It would seem he likes what I made for him. --Wendy Black 09:05, 7 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi Wendy, nice to see you again. I still haven't learn to render images, for some reason the programs weren't friendly enough to new users even with your youtube guide. I wander if there is any other easy way for people who don't have graphic design studies to learn rendering.
Simon's page looks nice. Don't forget to link that user page within your guild's page, same for your own user page. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.jpg Yoshida Keiji (talk) 09:46, 7 January 2013 (UTC)
I got a link from my front page and the guild page too. Thanks for reminding me to connect the dots friend. Also I was playing around and created a new custom user box here: User:Wendy_Black/Timerank. Just use; User:Wendy_Black/Timerank|<number of hours> and it gives you a custom rank for the total time you spend playing Guild Wars. I will level up in about two days as much as I play. A more detailed explanation is in in my talk page. Have fun the Canthan New Year is almost upon us! --Wendy Black 17:06, 10 January 2013 (UTC)

Signature

Sorry to be a dreadful bore, but per GWW:SIGN#Images, "One small image or icon may be included in your signature." - you have two. Please decide which you intend to keep, and drop the other one from your signature. Also, I intend to rewrite "Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Drop research" to reflect what it was setup to do, not what your last edit changed it to being :P Chieftain Alex 18:46, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

I will fix my signature. Regarding drop research project, the templates were not in use anymore and had been improved since such writting. What my last edit did was to clean up long old times practices which were left in time but no one bothered to update formaly in the front page. A lot more could be re-written, as in additional instructions, but such matters were not my field of expertise...and since I'm the lone contributor there...that's as much as I could have done (not everything has to be a mistake). User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida KeijiCanthan script - man.jpg(talk) 18:58, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
You should probably realise that what you had changed the project to be bore no resemblance to what the original intent was. I've restored the content to its former intent. I'd leave that project as dormant/extinct and create your own project e.g. "Guild Wars Wiki:Projects/Farming sections". Chieftain Alex 19:43, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Happy New Year Friend

I am just poking around on the wiki making sure I am not missing any New Year quests. I don't play the 9 rings or stuff because of the payoff, but I did launch the pig. :D I blew a lot of Lunar Coins on fortunes. I am sure you know that Dirk is a native Canthan and an egotist. So I have him running about to all the major cities saying, "Ah so this is where all the cool people are hanging out... because I am here and I make this place cool." "I know all of you want to be just like me, but the Gods made the one and only." "It was real nice of you to throw me a party in my honor, but I don't need paties, I have fans." Very few people understand role playing these days. --Wendy Black 14:17, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

My opinon about GW2

I answered you in my userspace. I needed nearly 2,5 hours for the answer, really a good exercise for my low english abilities... --Naruuu 03:55, 4 February 2013 (UTC)

RC 1000+

Did you know that you can manually edit the number of displayed edits using the address bar? e.g. I could go to RC, click on "show 500 edits" and then edit the address bar to be [1] - which works and will show you 1000 edits. (there is an inbuilt limit of 5000 edits that can be shown at once) -Chieftain Alex 21:13, 9 February 2013 (UTC)

I didn't knew, thanks for the tip. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 04:28, 10 February 2013 (UTC)

Lol abusefilter

As you will have seen, the filter didn't like you swearing in the edit summary :P Try to avoid it. (its also caught me for swearing ;) )

Additionally, battery is a relevant link - this skill is related to a page which lists other skills which grant positive energy regeneration. -Chieftain Alex 12:44, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Looolzzz, oh well. I just checked the talk page of TPIY and realised I had already argued that last year... User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 13:12, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Factions and Outposts

Something went on this month in my guild I am having trouble understanding. My son and his friend Monk Key Ma Nu, went on a faction farming binge and raised over 550,000 faction points. The goal was to get an outpost owned by the Kurzick's for 700 to 800 thousand. The plan fell through when the outposts jumped up to 1 million. My question is wouldn't it be better to faction farm this weekend because of the double points? They both said no, it wouldn't. I don't understand the whole point of owning an outpost in the first place. Also can't find much on the wiki as to the details, looking in the wrong place I guess. Simon was saying we should ally with another guild and again both said no, we need more players farming in our guild. I am not too deep into the factions plot to understand all the details involved. As Guild Master I should know this stuff I guess. Hoping you would know. --Wendy Black 14:03, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

It allows you to get cheaper stuff from merchants in outposts e.g. Kurzick_Merchant#In_outposts - 20% less. Its not really worth it unless you're buying lockpicks - in which case you could sell to people @1.25k each to make a 50g profit per key (4k profit / 100k worth of keys).
Also, depending on the town, Fireworks Master :D -Chieftain Alex 14:19, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

As Alex said above, owning a town is convenient so long as your guild is composed by lockpick "burners" like me for example. I like to do Elite Areas (in HM) pretty often and I tend to play rounds after rounds. Each one of all my 10 characters have a minimun of 25 lockpicks and a max of 40~50 because when I am in such extasis queued runs, it becomes inconvenient to have to stop by a merchant to buy more picks, so its comfortable to have them in numbers. If you do The Deep or Urgoz Warren as I do, say 3 runs on a daily basis and 5~7 runs on weekends like guild/alliance events... lockpicks will dissapear from your inventory pretty soon and you will see yourself the need to re-supply just a few days after the last quantity purchase. It helps a lot anybody's economy if you can buy lockpicks at 1.200 gold (1.2k) than 1.500 gold (1.5k).
My own guild stands 4 years into Faction Farming, we learnt a lot through that experience and I have learnt a lot too as guild leader. But those times are over now, what you see these days is only the remnants of us. I would find it awkward to intend to become a FF guild these days, although I keep seeing new names everyday and I do not wish to disencourage you in anyway.
Before looking at your guild's score, you need to see the Cantha world map (Alliance#Captured_towns_and_outposts) and check the Kurzick-Luxon_border, even if you have e.g.: 1 million factions points but the rival side has more control... you will not be getting any town. The line pushes to one side or the other based on Alliance battles results. In these days... it means every time there is an AB weekend, which only happens 4 to 6 times a year (Weekend_events#Weekend_events)... and the next AB weekend will be in mid May... (Weekend_events/2012#May). Your guild is currently under Luxon allegiance...but the border shows Kurzicks invading Luxons, which is against Luxon's aspiration. If your guild wants a town these days... you will have to flip Kurzick, which is not an easy decision to make because you may lose several members. Having a lot of factions points in your guild will not change the borderline.
Joining efforts with other guilds of the same allegiance ease the workload each guild has to do individually. Or you could try to lead a FF alliance by yourself alone...but that is waaayyy... too much. In my experience and knowledge: FF Alliance leaders must be people who literally live and work with a computer and has enough disposition to be online 24hs/7days.
  • The Double Luxon and Kurzick title points weekend event only boosts a character's title track. Most Faction Farmer players will already have Luxon/Kurzick rank maxed, so it won't be attractive.
  • The Double faction in competitive missions weekend event (which is scheduled to be the next), will give players double factions from Jade Quarry, Imperial Factions that is. Plus Balthazar factions too which doubles the pay and halves the job to acquire more Zaishen Keys. In these weekends all FF guilds that want Respect by the community will certainly show themselves vigorous. Any guild that does not show any change will be tagged as "dead guild".
FF guilds and PvE guilds are not the same thing unless intended so from the beginning. Only if your own members, by their own interest start to FF is when a guild can push towards that direction. Expecting an average PvE guild to turn FF guild will piss-off everybody and cause you lose members at grand scale.
If you happen to move towards FF, you will need an alliance, and have good diplomatic skills in foreign affairs field. The leading guild will have expectations on your guild, and so will the other 8 guilds within a full alliance as well. Is your guild ready to take that pressure? Faction Farming is not a "once in a life time" experience. The only way to quit, is leaving the FF grounds completely. You will need to keep-up a set score of points. After the last Cantha New Year... I don't see any more JQs going on in my nights for GMT+9...which makes it harder on FF guilds. You will notice [ASIA] on Amatz Basin Challenge Mission in attempts to survive these hard times. But then, even in the Capital alliances (those that hold Cavalon and HzH) will see owning the highest town with guilds that have less than 100.000 factions...which is beyond "miserable" status. (If wiki were to had asked this question a year or two ago I could have put myself to write a formal user guide, but as of these days...it won't have much sense.) User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 16:02, 23 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks boys, I guess this is clearer in my mind. They were looking at Breaker Hollow being owned by the Kurzicks (last month) and the points was low. But it got taken over by a Luxon guild and I think the idea was that even if I pitched in to help out the points would never get high enough because the game removes 10% daily. My cap it at 30K so by the time I add anything it would get removed in the intrest payments. They were trying real hard to get everyone to help out but so many of my guild is either new to the game or GW2 players here just for their HoM boost. --Wendy Black 21:53, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

The Deep

As you asked for, I have done a test of possibility to go past the gates from the room with 5 pads; I used a party of 8. The technique is nearly the same as for entrance to the first room with full party. Here is the result: all the party members except Dunkoro (unlucky case) are behind the gates: 1st shot (nightmares and nearby outcasts already defeated). After clearing this room the party has reunited and was ready for the next room: 2nd shot (but do the Deep alone is not a good idea anyway). You can notice that I didn't have any necromancers in a party and a single assassin doesn't have any shadow step skill. --Slavic 18:47, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

P.S. OMG, I forgot that Heart of Shadow is a shadow step skill, but here it was used exclusively for self-healing. --Slavic 06:28, 24 February 2013 (UTC)

Next time you are online pm me and we do it together so that you can show me in live. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 09:07, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
Well, and please excuse that I was too busy last Sunday, helping friend and real life... I memorised you ingame and will find when possible. --Slavic 18:56, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
That's a clever technique. I am almost tempted to boot up the game to give it a try. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 11:37, 26 February 2013 (UTC)

Hero Assassin Build

I remember you were trying to study the combat AI on the heroes? Well I have a problem with Zenmai, she can't seem to use her combos. I have her as A/E and this is her build;

She is NOT using skills 2 and 3 after the casting Unsuspecting Strike. She has been run through a lot of combat and I always felt this hero was hard to use. Should I just replace skills 2 and 3 with something else? --Wendy Black 17:22, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

What you saw in Recent Changes was part of the AI skills usage Project. See Projects to find the list where you could give assistance to improve the GWW. The goal of GWW:AI PROJECT is to determine if a user's report is either AI poor programming by developers or a player's misunderstanding. Its very helpful if you can provide your hero's set-up like this: User:Yoshida Keiji/My default heroes (if you are good with templates, I could use one that looks better while still using the same information). I also require the Template Code or else I will never know how you distributed attribute points.
A first glance opinion feels like I wouldn't use the skills 4 5 6 7 8 on an Assassin hero, so the idea behind your creation would help too. Feel free to join GWW:AI PROJECT, I'm in the process of renewing it since a year had past from the day I started to contribute in the wiki and now I know better how to interact with other users. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 06:57, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Ok I will create some various builds and see if I have anything I can contribute to the project. Her attributes are 11:Fire Magic, 10:Dagger, and 10:Shadow Arts. --Wendy Black 09:40, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Your Zenmai doesn't have any attribute rune? What's her base energy? User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 09:46, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Hero Testing has now been setup on my user page. Also accessible from Miscellaneous tab on this page. Also Monk Key Ma Nu told me online, the game AI never used the assassin combos well. --Wendy Black 11:15, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
In the past maybe not, but after the March 1, 2012 game update, they should. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 11:31, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Quick thoughts; give the hero Jagged Strike instead of Unsuspecting (if you're using 0 critical it won't do any decent dmg). Raise critical strikes to at least 8, lower Shadow Arts to 2-3. Bring Critical Eye instead of shadow refuge - let dedicated healers heal + melee attack. Switch Firestorm for anything assassin related.. e.g. dash -Chieftain Alex 11:39, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Exactly that, I just went ingame to copy/paste the template and found out no points in Critical Strikes. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 11:43, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
Ok I made some changes and added the new build, seem to be working. I have only one assassin character and don't play her very often.--Wendy Black 13:46, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

Editing talk pages

Per this edit, please don't edit other user's talk pages just to edit the layout, its their own space, they can decide how they want it. -Chieftain Alex 12:29, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

umm okay I'm barely on my talk pages I do check them here and there so yeah didn't really matter what you did but thanks for the format.....I guess..... thanks Chief for watching mine and others pages--Jabhacksoul 13:01, 28 February 2013 (UTC)

WOW that was a fast feedback, a real shinobi surprise I would say. I will go test that build, for future replies, could you also include the builds template codes as well? User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 13:53, 8 March 2013 (UTC)
I'm afraid i'm no good with that, sorry. Da Mystic Reaper 14:12, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Template Code: OwBj0pe64O6I3sWDi9m3R8o5MA
Critical Strikes = 11 + 1 + 1 / Dagger Mastery = 10 / Deadly Arts = 10.
Mostly because my ranger only has Zenmai and her headpiece rune is minor Critical Strikes. Maybe better to test with another hero with more Deadly Arts points.
Used to Vanquish Panjiang Peninsula with a hero that only had 26 energy base and she would never use Deadly Paradox, now I have upgraded her armor to 34 energy base. She uses this build very well except for that skill. Since Deadly Paradox requieres 15 energy...when would you want her to use this skill in the activation sequence? If she were to use it from start I think it would be very inconvenient to begin with e.g. 26 base - 15 used = 11 energy for the rest? I will now test with 34 base - 15 used = 19 remaining. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 03:56, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
Okay, now I vanquished Kinya Province with some attribute modifications (OwBk0le83MmjOyNr1gYv5dEPaOD) and hero won't use Deadly Paradox. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 08:57, 9 March 2013 (UTC)
Could it be because of the 10 second delay of attack skills? That could be why the Hero AI is not using Deadly Paradox. Just my thought..."All of your attack skills are disabled for 10 seconds. For 5...13...15 seconds, your Assassin skills activate and recharge 33% faster."MystiLefemEle 09:07, 6 April 2013 (UTC)

I have a question...(Chunk_of_Drake_Flesh#Mehtani_Keys)

User Durp da durp What-is-in-the-way.jpg

Which group of corsairs is in the way? The skale at 1 where the first compass mini map shot is is more often in the way. The corsairs in #2 were in just about the worst possible variation of their spawn yet still I slipped by relatively easily as seen on #3 where i was killing the drakes at that spot with no aggro from them. I did kill the 4 groups on the east edge to get to the last 2 drake groups up towards the NE. Time is after killing the first 4 groups. Full run was 10 minutes by /age. The only aggro other than the 6 groups of drakes was the 4 corsair groups in the yellow oval. I farm n00b istan in search of 8 armor nor req insc. shields and other assorted items i enjoy. The patrol of corsairs before group 2 will move out of the way within a few seconds if they are even in the way at all. Every spawn point has a small variation like chests. I know patrol paths of the groups in the areas I chest run and farm which are mostly in factions. You can avoid all groups nearly every time when farming those first 4 spots I have never aggroed them other than intentionally in the search for no reqs they drop sometimes but usually its just runes or assorted other stuff. Durp da durp 01:28, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

The Corsair group I was referring to is the one you dodged at image #2 passing to their right (on your left). If your experience tells that most of the time, they can be avoid, go ahead and edit the walkthrough. I don't understand why didn't you ask me this in the Farming talk. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 09:23, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
I did ask? Didn't wanna edit the mainspace. Oh noes!! Revert wars scaredededed meeee (T_T;) Durp da durp 15:36, 11 March 2013 (UTC)
I didn't mean any disrespect by posting about the drake flesh. I did post on the drake flesh talk page as an IP 5 days after you made the new map and added the description. I was having troubles with my ISP and kept getting an error trying to login. I said who it was in the comment. IP's can be contributors too and quite honestly in many cases the IP does not mean a thing. I'm usually quite uncomfortable with changing any mainspace. I've done a few edits as an IP along the way. I don't take much seriously about anything other than in real life. I have an odd and quite sarcastic sense of humor that many do not understand and it quite probably is not a good idea for me to be editing mainspace pages. Tables once started i can follow and edit but learning template and all the other wiki stuff I honestly find no fun in. I know my maps aren't very good or might not be quite up to the wiki policy but in most cases its just me poking stuff with my fingers, which considering my typing skills it doesn't surprise me they come out poorly. I don't enjoy writing a walk through but in places i do go i usually have a good idea of what spawns where and what patrols along what paths... like Raisu but not from farming soul stones solo i know it from running chests. If you feel up to writing a walkthru for there do it because i have no idea how to explain it >.< Thank you for the template for the salvage research I might try adding it to the Ancient Moss Staff talk page sometime. Hopefully I can figure out the table. Durp da durp 05:02, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

This is confusing.
First of all, the logs. So you are telling me that you: User:Durp da durp also commented with the following IPs:
All these five addresses were you?

Second, when I said "I don't understand why didn't you ask me this in the Farming talk."
I was telling that in my opinion it is best to talk about Trophy farming in each of those pages instead of my talk page. This is because:
  1. The Trophy talk pages have more visits, feedbacks and edits. So any kind of discussion will be much easier to follow there than from a user's talk page. This is what I consider best.
  2. A secondary alternative would be to discuss about Trophy walkthroughs in the Project's talk page.
  3. Third and last could be here (in my user talk page which is fine), but it will be harder for others (third parties) to follow research of contributions.
All this I was meaning for this particular topic from yesterday.

When you say "I didn't mean any disrespect by posting about the drake flesh.".
You don't have to worry, I didn't take any offense at all. User Yoshida Keiji Signature.pngYoshida Keiji(talk) 10:10, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Short answer is "Yes". A longer version is what does one do when the wiki start tracking IP addresses poorly, even to the point of identifying one of its own internal IP addresses as the source of a problem and abusefilter blocks... umm... itself? The IP address is NOT always always an accurate depiction of who someone is. What about someone stopping by from their place of employment? It is a unique number, however it is by no means even close to an accurate bit of information in many cases. This might explain it partially, but also many ISP's do not reassign the same IP once the IP lease has expired. Especially quite horrible ones. 6 months of remote assistance to try and fix a physical problem from more than half way across the country before sending a tech and finding a physical problem. IP info is at best close to accurate if not 100% looking in the wrong direction. Why else would that game i honestly do not like one bit have decided to add that 2 step verification process that sends the email to you to verify the IP address is you logging in to your account? IP tracking is at best butting in on someones personal information, but in many cases its not their personal information that you find. I do find renaming the assassin to thief to be one of many flaws in gw2. The assassin through history was much more than a common thief (lol... and that one does show what i mean about my horrible typing skills >.<). IP's change not everyone has a static IP they may usually be from within a certain range but how many people work from home? There are other better ways of identifying people but most invade privacy even more. 14:04, 12 March 2013 (UTC)

Deletion tags

Please leave the content on the page when placing delete tags on things, otherwise its more a nuisance to find out whether the page was worth retaining or not. I probably won't delete either Piken Sq (pre) or the Polymark crystal - I'd like to ask Konig where he got that name for it though. -Chieftain Alex 13:32, 18 March 2013 (UTC)
