The White Mantle, angered by the death of Justiciar Hablion, are moving against the Shining Blade. The White Mantle forces preparing to attack Quarrel Falls must be stopped, and Councilor Vaylor must be warned of the danger.

This quest is quite straightforward: walk into Silverwood and kill the three groups of White Mantle located where the quest markers indicate. The final group is located very close to the entrance to Ettin's Back. Dispatch them and then head into Ettin's Back to locate Councilor Vaylor for the reward.

- "We have been betrayed by one of our own! A traitor has given away the locations of the Shining Blade's bases throughout the region. In response to Hablion's death, they are launching a massive strike led by the Demagogue."
- "Scouts have reported a vanguard comprising three groups; they're currently pushing towards Quarrel Falls. We must warn Councilor Vaylor outside of Ventari's Refuge. I need you to head them off and buy us some time."
- Accept: "I'll do it!"
- Decline: "Do it yourself."
- When asked about quest: "Head south and eliminate all three White Mantle groups."

Anomaly.This quest is given prematurely. The dialogue indicates it occurs after the death of Hablion, but the quest is often taken after Mysterious Message before the Bloodstone Fen mission where Hablion dies.
