Although my brother like Paladins and I like Deathknights (aka Dark Knights from Final Fantasy) I don't think it would be a good addition to the Guild Wars universe. A paladin is a support tank, and is useless in PvP. So you would be limited to PvE with that profession and no one wants to be limited to one or the other. The deathknight would also be a problem, seeing as WoW is coming out with one in the next installment and would also be nothing more then a warrior with blood magic. Now the dragonrider would also be a problem because I believe riding any type of mount should not be restricted to one profession.Yozuk

That is a big problem in Guild Wars. PVP is the most important aspect, which gets a lot of people mad because they enjoy only PVE. I think focusing too much on the PVP aspect can harm the fun aspects of PVE.

Same other way around: a profession must be useful for both PvP and PvE, as Yozuk said. Also agree that paladin is just a W/Mo (and parts of derv match it too) and deathknight a W/N; the energy problem can currently be solved with runes and insignias. Well I am one of those people who like PvE over PvP. But i can't discriminant against one over the other because I have friends who like PvP over PvE. And although the paladins, deathnights, and dragonriders work in other RPG's and MMO's its not the same for GW. GW has more options for each profession then most games have. A normal Profession in other games only have from 20 to 50 skills each with no cross classing. GW has from 85 to 144 skills per profession with cross classing. Now i know most of you know this but it should be noted. It may or may not be different in GW2. But I hope they don't brake the professions down that far.Yozuk

PLEASE tell me this idiot is joking. Anything made by Artix (Adventure Quest, DragonFable, etc) is stupid, gimmicky, and a retarded WoW ripoff with graphics and sound effect quality that may have been top-notch 10 years ago. Artix FAILS!
