melandru's resilience =/= imbalanced. Also, if you got owned by a smite monk using this you need to improve. Psychiatric Consultant Shadowsong.jpg 15:55, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

readem is always goddamn right. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 18:47, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
Not this time. Melandru's Resilience is mediocre at best and bad at worst. I never use it as it is a waste of an elite. Also, anyone who gets owned by smiting is bad. The entire smiting line is piss-poor, even worse than bow attacks, and doesn't need a nerf. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.230.18 (talk).
Lol, smiting is pretty crap. Its only good in places like FA where you can annoy the sh*t out of idiot wars who just spam power attack. But Melandru's Resilience really doesnt do that much in terms of e-management because unless that monk is spamming word of censure (which is worse than flare spamming) castigation signet is really all they need for e-management in the smite line. This skill is used more by sins in AB than smite monks, but they are n00bs anyway01:58, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

you are all bad. while this is being less used, due to the SB nerf, it is still gay to play against. saying smite is bad makes you fucking terrible at the game. --Readem 02:18, 1 October 2008 (UTC)

Why are you so bad? Out of ALL the damage lines smiting has the lowest DPS and longest recharge. Only bad people lose to smiting, good ones don't even notice. Stop QQing about a mediocre skill, we don't need another 25/90. I'm adding a delete tag unless there is any opposition to the deletion other than Readem and his alternate account NuklearVII. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.27.252.185 (talk).
your a fucking scrub, and I don't even know who Nuklear VII is. --Readem 14:14, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

NPA. End of story. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.233.5.27 (talk).

This skill is seeing a lot more use these days, at least in RA and maybe TA, but IMO it's not really OP. Maybe just halving the energy regeneration or limiting it to +2 or something would work. After all, it's still a fairly conditional skill. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:82.27.252.185 (talk).
Anyone who gets owned by this is bad. It is a mediocre elite at best and crap at worst. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.233.5.27 (talk).
Suggestion is stupid, OP is troll. This is definitely trolling "nerf a bad skill, and anyone who disagrees is bleeping bad."-how is that not trolling? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:96.233.5.27 (talk).
First of all, I would like to say this: you are all retarded. Now as for this skill, it was gay on smite monks. Smite monks had SB. SB was really gay. This skill gave them the energy to power-heal with smites via SB, draw like a bitch, and be mighty monk tanks. Now that SB is nerfed beyond recognition as a skill, this is not so big a deal. Now go fuck yourselves, and carry on with your lives. Good day, I wish you only the best. Sincerely, --Readem 21:49, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
Please don't make useless retarded flame comments. You're going to get banned for NPA if you keep it up.--The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.212.37 (talk).
And you'll get fucked over for deleting comments. Unless there is NPA on your talk page, don't delete people's talk--ever. --Ezekial Riddle 05:50, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, don't run around trying to enforce a policy you haven't even bothered to read through. "Removing unquestionable personal attacks from your own user talk page is much less of a concern than removing comments from other pages in the Guild Wars Wiki. For text elsewhere, where such text is directed against you, removal requests should be directed to an admin to determine if the comments should remain, be archived, or be deleted. However, deletion should be rare, limited to situations where the comments pose an ongoing threat to a user such as revealing personal information in the attack." -- Gordon Ecker 06:53, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, back to discussion about the actual idea, and I think its not really that great. Sure, it doesn't really add anything great to PvP, but it is far more abused by Wars/Sins than Smiter Monks (at least in AB & FA). Still, it isn't too annoying because this is used more by noob wars who think that Melandru's Resilience+Power Attack spam=ultimate unkillable dps. No need for a change.Crimmastermind 08:38, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
Agreed with Crimmastermind there.. Yesterday I was running a fast cast fire elementalist(with the buff to Lyssas's Aura) and I got attacked by a n00b W/R using Melandru's Resilience. Using that as his elite ate up so much offensive power that he couldn't outdamage my Ether Feast. Come on, can't even do 144 damage in 9 seconds? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.212.37 (talk).
STOP REMOVING THE DELETE TAG. You are not allowed to remove it without discussion. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.174.21.250 (talk).
You're taking this awfully seriously. Mel's resilience allows spamming of smites; doesn't contribute anything worthwhile to PvP. Smiter's Boon helped the build, but doesn't stop the fact that Mo/R can use this to be a draw whore. Even if it's borderline, it's better to err on the side of keeping than deleting. --click moar Mafaraxas 06:31, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
How is spamming of SMITES bad? There are half a dozen lines that would be a lot worse if they were spammed. Smiting damage is piss-poor and CANNOT BE SPAMMED because every meaningful smiting direct damage skill has recharge of AT LEAST 10 seconds If you cannot handle the pitiful DPS from smiting you are BAD. UNINSTALL PLEASE. Oh, and if you want to spam smites, Lyssa's Aura is better. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.174.21.250 (talk).
lol, spamming smites not overpowered? you are a funny one sir. --Readem 23:37, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
