Feedback:User/Lord Marshal/Let people buy HOM items in Gem Shop

I really really tried to play GW1 to earn the HOM stuff but its just not my kind of game.

GW2 is a totally different beast, and the one I want to enjoy. I know for a fact I'm not alone in trying to play GW1 just to earn things for GW2 and failing. No insult intended to those who greatly enjoyed the game, its just very different.

I would REALLY like to see all the HOM earnable stuff from GW1 added to the Gem/Cash Shop so GW2 players could just buy it. Now I in no way wish to belittle the accomplishments of the people who actually worked hard to earn these titles, pets and assorted goodies. So I was thinking it could be made VERY expensive. That way the people who earned it don't feel cheated, serious collectors/completionists like myself dont feel stuck between a rock and a hard place; and ArenaNet can make huge amounts of cash from those "foolish" enough to buy these items.

After having a good discussion with GW1 players (see discussion on this suggestion), I suggest a small alteration to my above suggestion.

Anet should create a simple yet fair equation that gives a gem value for each point and landmark earned.

Then for all those who actually earned points, they get that value in gems all the way to 50/50.

These gems would work in both directions, another wards while a one time reward, people who earn points after this is implemented would still get gems. And those who go from 30/50 to 50/50 for instance would get the gem difference.

And finally of course all HOM rewards would be offered in the gem shop as I originally suggested for a high but not crazy price.

The end result being, there is no way GW1 players should feel cheated as they are literally getting money (sort of) for their hardwork.

And Anet should do this because they would at least break even with the income from all the GW2 people who just straight out buy all rewards from 0 to 50/50

Plus this would actually cause thrifty people to actually go and BUY NEW GW COPIES, not for the HOM rewards but for the gem value then can earn.

So it would actually have the side effect of at least a short term surge in GW sales and people playing GW + a few extra GW2 sales from crazy completionists who said the heck with it, when they learned about HOM and how they couldn't get any of that stuff without playing GW.

And of course getting a bunch of gems into players hands is a great way to get people using the store and thinking maybe it isnt so bad. Then they would eventually buy gems with some real cash=profit for Anet

Respectfully Yours, The Lord Marshal

P.S. The gems would be by account of course, not character.
