Feedback:User/Sphinx/Individual filter to replace annoying character names - Ingame shop item

My idea came up when discussing name guidelines for GW2. Many people, especially roleplayers, are really annoyed by others who name their characters "Xx Uber Naruto Killer Oo" or similar, as it destroys much of the immersion. Though it would be unfair to forbid those names in general, they still are a problem for many. My idea now would be to offer a way to filter and replace those names with other neutral names.

Each player who purchased this filtering tool via ingame store can feed a blacklist with words like "Naruto" and basically any word that is commonly used in those immersion breaking names (or just specific names they came across). Characters that include those words in their names would then automatically be renamed to something neutral like "Tyrian citizen" or any other name the player defined. When grouping with players who have been renamed this way, the real name should be displayed in the party window of course to avoid confusions. It would also be nice to be able to share blacklists with others, so they don't have feed it themselves, as I believe the list could become very long. A .txt-file for example, just like skill templates, would be fine.

I think this would be a very good addition to the ingame shop, as it doesn't give any gameplay advantages, but greatly increases the overall gaming experience of many players. And according to the number of people who complain about those silly names, it would be very profitable.

Best regards,
