Copyvio?[edit]
Is there some sort of template that gives credit to where this is from? Because instead of simply labeling stuff as a copyvio when it's not, we could simply link to the source (that doesn't give a damn anyway - these sorts of pics are all over the place, and none of the material in it is copyright anyway). -- Armond Warblade 20:56, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- For the 1000th time: See Guild Wars Wiki:Copyrighted content. We are simply not allowed to use any non-GFDL or non-ANet content. And we also cannot use content under Fair use. As long as nothing changes in this point, we cannot have images like this. poke | talk 21:03, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'm not reading that wall of text. Why the hell can't we? That's just... stupid. Fair use is, well, fair use. (Also, I've never been linked there before, but I expect you've given that link plenty of times elsewhere.) -- Armond Warblade 00:10, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- Because Arenanet won't let us. It's a simple as that. see here, last reply by Emily. -- Indochine talk 16:25, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- I thinkyou should read the link Indochine provided, it is Emily's response to the 'Fair Use' copyright situation here at GWW. I think it should put a full stop to the arguments about whether we can allow 'Fair Use' images here.-- Wynthyst 16:29, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
