We are a community guild who loves to build up new players and help them achieve their goals. We mostly PvE, with the guild leaders having all campaigns and GW:EN. We look for respectful members who are friendly and helpful.

Recruitment

We have a few rules, nothing strange. Mostly we look for people who are respectful. Here are the rules as they stand right now:

Brave Acolytes of Danu [BAD] Rules of Membership

Our guild was created from a rift with Warriors of Anu [WOA]. In order to avoid some of the pitfalls encountered there, rules were decided upon by the founding members. While we want to maintain the fun atmosphere, we request that you abide by the rules. Unfortunately, failure to abide by the rules will force an officer to kick you from the guild. This is regrettable, but by the same token, you have been warned.

1. No begging of weapons, materials, or gold/plat. You will be warned once for the offense, then booted without warning.

2. No being disrespectful of other members/players. Chasing them without invitation, or unwanted suggestive comments are examples of this. If the guild leader and 2 officers, or a total of 3 officers agree that your behavior is offensive, you will be warned. If it happens again, you will be kicked. This behavior will not be tolerated under any circumstance.

3. Running members is not prohibited, but remember this: by running someone to a new town or through a quest/mission, they do not gain experience or knowledge, only a new town and possibly a level or two. This will leave them weak in the end. Running is your prerogative and will not, at this time, be a kickable offense, but please be warned about the ramifications of doing so.

4. Anyone who will be absent for more than 6 weeks needs to let either the guild leader or another officer know. This will prevent our guild roster from becoming bloated with inactive members. If you have told an officer, you will not be kicked, however, if you have failed to notify, you will be kicked after 6 weeks. If you cannot find an officer, you can email Kalina at ladykalinademark@live.com.

5. Voting will go by a simple majority. Sometimes this might mean just the officers, sometimes this will be the guild. To allow all eligible voting parties the ability to vote, the vote will remain active for 1 week. Voting can take place in guild chat, local if both parties are in the guild hall, or by whisper if you want to remain anonymous to the guild as to your vote, or you may email Kalina at the above email address. Only the GL can accept votes. Items to be voted upon will be placed in the announcement window in Guild Wars and may be posted on the blog (www.braveacolytesofdanu.wordpress.com). The GL will break any ties that may occur.

6. We are looking for quality players over quantity in the guild. Please know who you are inviting into the guild before the invitation is placed. Officers can and should invite for members who are recruiting. Members: please remember that the officer pays 100 gold to invite your recruit. It is up to the officer if s/he requests that 100 gold from the recruiting member, so as not to depete her/his coffers. Just because you are a member does not mean that you are unable to recruit. Recruitment might be a factor looked at if we need to vote in a new officer.

7. If you would like to receive periodic announcements or guild updates through another medium, please send an email to Kalina at the above address. All email information will be kept in the strictest of confidences, and when emails are sent out, they will be sent as blind carbon copies, so that no one else sees your address. We understand the issue of privacy, especially with our younger members and will strive to maintain that. If you have an email address that contains no personal information, that would be preferred, but maintaining that many email addresses can be bothersome.

8. Please watch your language in chat. Some of our members are younger than 16, and while they hear such words/expressions in the real world, we don’t want to offend anyone in the guild. The GL will not be the language police, but if it becomes a problem, she will speak to you about it.

If you have any questions about the rules, please ask the GL or an officer. We want to be a great guild, with great players. Players of all ages and experience levels are welcome. Remember: we were all newbies once. Respect that someone coming in might be inexperienced. We will work to help you be the best player you can be.

Contact information

If you would like to join us, please contact Lady Kalina De Mark. Let her know where you found out about us and she can gladly add you if you agree to the above rules. This applies as a player, or a guild leader who would like to join our alliance. All alliance members must abide by the rules over alliance chat.
