HoME is a guild mainly for and about male and female monks who are tired of being mistreated by players who abuse and misuse healers, i.e. blaming them for dying when players decide to "tank" without appropriate build, rushing ahead without allowing healer to recharge manna and so on. Secondly, the guild is formed for the benefit, training and comradarie of its members. The guild is meant to be a fun, useful group for players who wish to immerse themselves in the Guild Wars saga without the pressure of players who use it as a venue to abuse others.

HoME welcomes and encourages players of all professions to join with the caveat that they understand the guild's main purpose is to protect the monk profession. Members who do not have a a character who has monk as a primary or secondary profession pledge to defend all respectful monks who follow the dictates of Justice! Mercy! Honor! Respect! even though they are not members. In return monks who are members of HoME pledge to make assistance of non-monk professionals who are members of HoME one of their top priorities. Rudeness to one another or other players is never permitted.

The guild reserves the right to list a complaint against players who conduct themselves in this manner and will launch the complaint in writing on the HoME DISRESPECTFUL CHARACTERS page. Players will ALWAYS be listed by their character's names and NEVER by their personal names. Anyone violating this rule will be removed from HoME membership IMMEDIATELY.

NOTE: No namecalling, foul language will be permitted EVER. We are formed to stop such nonsense not promote it.

Once a Character's Name is listed HoME will give that player a chance to respond to the complaint by contacting the leader of HoME through a representative on the guild webpage. No complaint may be listed without notifying the offender that such a complaint will be listed against them in the guild and that after three such complaints from three different guild members all members within HoME will refuse to team with them because of such behavior. After three complaints by three different members regarding the same player; the player will be notified by the third complainant that their name is listed as DISRESPECTFUL and they have the right to present their side of the story to the guild. NOTE: ALL MONKS MUST AGREE TO OFFER PLAYERS THE RIGHT TO RESPOND TO COMPLAINTS DURING GUILD HEARING. If it is found that a monk listed a player without informing them of their rights that monk will be removed from guild membership.

Complainent Steps

1. Immediately upon first offence during gameplay notify offending character that you are a member of HoME and as such can exercise your right to list a complaint against them in your guild. If player continues offending behavior warn them a second time and state your intention to either be treated with respect or to leave the team. Be sure to apologize to other team members for inconvenience; PLEASE NOTE: if at this point the other members begin to defend you or to chastise offending character DO NOT LEAVE TEAM.

2. If player continues to offend with or without the support of other team members notify them that you will be listing their char's name in a complaint and give them the webpage so that they have the opportunity to respond to the complaint.

3. If you have decided to list a character's name in a complaint the name should be listed in alphabetical order with the date of complaint, complaint and your Character Name . Be sure to list in alphabetical order and to make certain that the character's name is not already listed.

4. If Character Name is already listed then your complaint should list Complaint 2 or Complaint 3 and then date, complaint and your Character Name.

5. Be sure to add the player's Character Name to your Ignore list in your friends list.

Below is an example of complaint list:

EXAMPLE 1

Alleged Offender Date Complaint Guild Member

Doowa Diddy 5/3/2009 namecalling, rude, offensive, critical Chio Mesagio

Doowa Diddy Complaint 2 8/23/2009 tanked w/o build, blaming, namecalling Nancy Dogood

Doowa Diddy Complaint 3 10/10/2009 namecalling, rude, offensive language Oz Borne DISRESPECTFUL CHARACTER ON HoME IGNORE LIST

Alleged Offender Response

1. An alleged offender may respond to the first two complaints by contacting HoME leader through a representative, who will present their side of the situation. The HoME leader must try to mediate between the two parties to reach an agreement. If no agreement can be reached than a written response to the complaint from the offender will be placed near their character's name as follows:

EXAMPLE 2

Alleged Offender Date Complaint Guild Member

Doowa Diddy 5/3/2009 namecalling, rude, offensive, critical Chio Mesagio

Doowa Diddy Complaint 2 8/23/2009 tanked w/o build, blaming, namecalling Nancy Dogood

Doowa Diddy RESPONSE During the incident on 5/3/2009 respondent states that he does not recall any namecalling being done on his part. Respondent also states that Chio Mesagio did call him names and that he was not trying to be rude but simply helpful by suggesting that Chio change her build to something more helpful for the team. from HoME Leader Chio Mesagio

In this case guild members must utilize their own judgement on whether to continue to team with alleged offender. However, if Alleged Offender has three complaints from three seperate members than guild members agree to add his/her character to their ignore list until or unless a guild hearing panel advises the guild otherwise.

Guild members will be notified on complaint page regarding hearing outcomes:

EXAMPLE 3

Doowa Diddy 5/3/2009 namecalling, rude, offensive, critical Chio Mesagio

Doowa Diddy Complaint 2 8/23/2009 tanked w/o build, blaming, namecalling Nancy Dogood

Doowa Diddy Complaint 3 10/10/2009 namecalling, rude, offensive language Oz Borne DISRESPECTFUL CHARACTER ON HoME IGNORE LIST

GUILD HEARING 10/15/2009 DETERMINATION Alleged Offender Doowa Diddy returned to Guild Friendship status on 12/10/2009 provided no further violations

2. When a player desires a hearing he/she must contact their guild leader and ask for a representative who can present their case before the panel. If a player is not affiliated with a guild they have the option of choosing anyone they feel comfortable with to represent them or they have the option to represent themselves. Players who are affiliated with a guild are not forced to contact their guild leader and have someone from their guild represent them but it does weigh in their favor before the panel.

3. The objective of the hearing is for the panel to decide whether player should be removed from complaint list or if the time that their character's name is on the list is shortened or whether character's name stays on the list indefinitely. Players who do not respond to being notified of being listed by HoME will not be removed until they do respond. Ostensibly, a player's character may be on the complaint list indefinitely, unless the panel decides otherwise.

3. Once a player decides to respond and notifies their representative of their need for representation the representative must contact HoME leader to request hearing. Hearing date must be set within 2 days, the burden of proof is upon the Alleged Offender. Basically the Alleged Offender must a) prove that he/she did not commit the actions listed in complaint, b) prove that he/she did commit the actions but had extenuating circumstances or c)committed the offenses but the offenses were justified by the actions of the monk. If either of these circumstances are proven the panel must remove the Alleged Offender's character name from the list. If none are proved the panel can decide to be lenient and remove character's name from list after a certain length of time.
