Welcome to the [NMS] wiki site!

[NMS] was established in April of 2008 and is translated from Latin meaning "not for myself alone". We are a close knit family of gamers that play for fun but do so with respect to others and with goals in mind. It's all about family, team work, dedication and fun! Do you have what it takes to be a [NMS]?

  • Do you enjoy getting the most out of your play time?
  • Tired of your guild not really helping you to do anything?
  • Rather "get it done" instead of reading mindless LA chat scene?
  • Are you willing to put it all on the line to help a guildmate?

If so, [NMS] is interested in you.

Guild-Logo.png Ideals

This is a guild for the casual and serious player. We are mainly young adults that have been gaming for a long period of time, even if that time in Guild Wars varies. We have real lives, therefore we understand the wear and tear that life brings into a gamers life and game time.

The following ideals will help you survive in [NMS]:

  • Being quick of wit and sharp of mind for when fellow guildies taunt you.
  • Must have a sense of humor. Mainly because of the above note.
  • Knowing when and when not deviant behavior is acceptable when out and about as a guild. Example: Aggro-queening. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's not.
  • Keep an open mind, we experiment a lot with builds, party composition. The idea is with the right group, any class can do any function a player desires.
  • Keep that desire to have fun.
  • Maintain a laid back attitude. Sometimes missions are long, the drops are bad, and the pugs are retarded. Try and have fun anyway, and if that is impossible, keep it to yourself.
  • If you want to sell to a guildie, do it at a discount or not at all.

Guild-Logo.png Activities

If it's in Guild Wars, we are doing it (or will soon)! One of our goals is to be as well-versed as possible. This means that at some point or another, if the mission, quest, event or whatever it is is in the game...we are looking to put a group of players together to get it done. Some of these type of runs would be (but not limited to):

  • Missions
  • Hard Mode Missions
  • Quest
  • Farming
  • Capping Skills
  • PvE
  • ...and so on.

Guild-Logo.png Recruitment

We are currently recruiting active players whose goals in-game include helping others. Those wishing to join [NMS] should consider the following information:

  • Recruits will be 18 years or older.
  • Recruits will be "like-minded". All that means is that you have read this page and agree with what it says.
  • Guild Leader or an Officer will meet an individual and said individual shows interest and the leader or officer thinks they would be a good fit.
  • Friends/Family of members are welcomed into the guild upon your joining Guild Wars.
  • Secondary accounts belonging to friends of the guild that do not want to leave their original guild for various reasons, as long as they are active.

Guild-Logo.png Promotion

[NMS] promotes from within. A golden rule we live by is that "leaders are raised, not hired". This means that if you stick around long enough and contribute to the guild, you will be recognized for your efforts.

  • Only the Guild Leader promotes individuals to Officer status.
  • Any active member may recommend another active member for Officer status after said member has been in the guild for at least one months time. The Guild Leader and Officers will discuss and vote on the recommendation.
  • Any active Officer holding office longer than 2 months, and in good standing with the guild, will receive the option to start a sister guild that would fall under the umbrella of our alliance. Further information concerning the setup and funding of the new guild will be discussed at that time between the leaders.

Guild-Logo.png Basic Rules

There are no rules such as faction farming, gold contribution, etc. The only thing expected is to treat fellow guild members with courtesy and respect.

  • Inactivity without notice past a month will get you booted. This is waived however if you inform someone you will be gone for an extended period of time. Granted, this is if your excuse isn't something stupid like "I'm going to be playing WoW."
  • No Cussing. This is a family joint.
  • No Scamming, period.
  • No Botting, period.
  • No Spamming local, guild or alliance chat.
  • If you are kicked from this guild or an allying guild, you will not be admitted for membership back into said guild or any of it's allying guilds.
  • Do not cause drama. Disagreements, fine. Debates, cool. Differences of opinion, they happen. If you cause drama I will tell you to cease and desist. If that fails, you are gone.
  • No Mooching or begging. We work for things together.
  • Enjoy your gaming. What good is the guild if you don't enjoy the time you spend with it?
