History of Guild

During the Guild Wars, an order of self appointed noble men and women sprung up to help others, but grew impatient waiting for others to stop doing evil. They were the Order of the Rightous Fist. However, corruption overcame them and they were slaughted to a soul. Now, recently reformed, they hope to serve the world once more.

Rules of Engagement

Basic Guild Rules

  • Helping others (why or how you do this is your affair). Simple rule, no scamming others.
  • No selling money (eg, don't sell Gold Pieces for RL cash). Do it and you get booted.
  • Just having a bit of fun with a theme.

The Paladin Class

To join this guild, you must have a "Paladin" character of any level (though a level five character will waive the 100gp joining fee). The Paladin class can be made up of any of the following combinations (Primary/Secondary):

  • Warrior/Monk
  • Monk/Warrior
  • Monk/ Elementalist
  • Elementalist/Monk
  • Monk/Mesmer
  • Ranger/Monk
  • Monk/Ranger
  • Monk/Ritualist
  • Paragon/(any class but Necromancer)

Paladin Guidelines

  • When you are recruited you must have a character that forms the "Paladin Class".
  • When recruited, find the person recruiting you, give them 100gp, and they'll let you join the guild. Since you paid your own way in, there is no loyalty oath, feel free to leave any time. This fee will be incurred by the guild if your "Paladin" character is level 5.
  • Donations to funding for the guild (note the in-game reference) are not mandatory. However, they will speed things up.
  • To become an officer your "Paladin" character must be level 10 and have been in the guild for six months. However, this may be waived depending on the actions you take.
  • Having characters outside the "Paladin Class" will not be discriminated, as long as you had them when you joined.

Grounds for Dismissal From Guild

  • Scamming people. This includes real life and in-game scams.
  • Selling in-game items for real life goods or services.
  • Harrassment of anyone on an excessive scale.
  • Changing the important details of this page without permission.

Mercenary Work

In this day and age, it is common for even a Paladin to become a mercenary. The Order of the Rightous Fist does not frown upon this, but there are some requests. These pertain to the pricing of you charging others of your services. Note, you must only tell people that you have been told to charge this much. Should they offer more AFTER you have informed them, then you're in luck, you get to keep the extra. Note, mercenary work never incurs a fee to guild. Also, any aid given in Pre-Searing Ascalon is to be done for free.

Recruitment

  • As long as the enrolled member has a character meeting the "Paladin Guidelines" they may join.
  • Until 10 officers are chosen any member wishing to recruit may ask for promotion.
  • No recruiter is to ask for more than 100gp to recruit someone. Should they waive the fee, that is ok. Should they be offered more after stating that 100gp is entry fee, they may keep the profit. In Pre-Searing Ascalon, entry fee is to be no more than 50gp.
  • Any recruiter found breaking these rules will be demoted. To be promoted once more, they must pay a fee equal to that they charged to the Guild Leader and recruit 2 more people within 2 weeks. Repeat offenders will be dismissed from the guild as scammers.
  • It is the duty of all officers and the Guild Leader to recruit. It is asked that they recruit one person per month if they are able.

Promotion

Basic Information

  • Promotion within the guild is generally based on merit.
  • Should the Guild Leader know a potential promotion candidate in RL, they must clear it with the two most senior Guild Officers online.
  • Promotion has duties, mainly recruitment.

Causes for Promotion

  • Special offers. These will be noted in the game under Guild Updates.
  • Individual merit. This includes such things as how powerful you are, how many others you can bring to the guild etc.
  • General consent. If the majority of the guild wants you as a Guild Officer.
  • Commission. Yes, you can pay your way to the top. If your "Paladin" class is less than Level 20, than the cost is 10000gp to the Guild Leader. If it is Level 20, 5000gp to the Guild Leader. You will need to prove this to either an existing Guild Officer or the Guild Leader. Funds to support guild.

Becoming Guild Leader

  • Eventually, Davriel Crusarson will leave the guild. He will pick the officer who has given the most to the guild to replace him.
  • Furthermore, when he leaves the rules may change should the new Guild Leader choose to change them.
