A guild is made up of individuals who are connected to each other by social relationships. Because they interact and influence each other, guilds develop a number of unique processes that separate them from a random collection of individuals. Before a new member can rise to the level of officer, that member has to go through a schooling period. After this period, that member can rise to the level of officer. The result is a guild of experienced and confirmed experts in their professions.

All members of The Blood Elders are given a red cape embroidered with an image of three platinum skulls. The guild hall, known as the Isle of the Dead, features a full range of services: Xunlai Agent, Dye Trader, Crafting Material Trader, Rare Material Trader, Rune Trader, Scroll Trader, Skill Trainer, Priest of Balthazar, Merchant, Weaponsmith, Guild Emblemer, Canthan Ambassador, and Festival Hat Keeper.

Guild Charter - Declaration

By decree of the members present at the founding of the guild known as the The Blood Elders, we acknowledge the governing body herewith and declare ourselves unified with all the powers and judgement of a formal assembly. This charter will spell out rules and guidelines for the conduct of our guild as a whole, and actions by individual members. It is the intent of the guild to promote a fun and enjoyable environment in our guild. Specifically, one that is friendly, cooperative, sustainable, and also attractive to enthusiastic players outside of our guild.

Section 1 - Communication

The Blood Elders strives to provide an organization where new friends can be made in a fun and casual environment, free from the pressures that other guilds impose. We are a guild of friends. As such, please maintain a mature level of communication in all forms of guild communication. This means absolutely no ethnically derogatory oriented comments are to be tolerated at any time.

Section 2 – Attendance

The Blood Elders does not have a formal attendance policy. We realize that our members have lives outside of Guild Wars and also encourage our members to continue having a life outside the game. Officers will not be removed from the guild because of inactivity, if you have not logged in within two months your rank will reduced to "member" until you return. We do not require members to attend any certain number events. We will try to form parties from within our own ranks if the number of members online permits, but if our needs cannot be fulfilled we will look to outside sources.

Section 3 – Trading

We encourage all members to help in the advancement of their fellow members by providing free of charge equipment or items. We encourage all members who loot materials and items not needed for there own use to donate them to a member that can put them to good use. We also ask that members receiving materials or items be honest in what they are receiving. We will not tolerate those that hoard materials and do not give anything in return. We ask that you be generous with your fellow members so as to make the organization as successful as possible. We encourage you to build a clientele outside of the guild and hope you help support the guild first.

Section 4 – Recruiting

Anyone above the rank of "member" is allowed to recruit, however, please keep in mind, the only one who is allowed to dismiss a member is the guild leader. If an officer is caught dismissing members without the concent of the leader, that officer may be removed from the guild.

Section 5 - Discipline

The way we handle discipline within The Blood Elders is based on a combination of guild rank and a three-strike policy.

First Offense – If we feel that someone has done something that is not very becoming of a guild member or would tarnish our image, you will be informed by the guild leader of the offense.

Second Offense – Automatic demotion to the rank of "member". Everything that goes along with being a "member" will apply and the member will have to start over in the rank progression.

Third Offense – Removal from the guild. If any member has committed three offenses they will be removed from the guild no questions asked.

Capital Offense – Removal of guild members without the concent of the guild leader. If any member is caught in this activity, said member will automatically be removed from the guild NO questions asked NO strikes. We do not tolerate this activity and your name will be distributed to all guild officers to be added to their ignore list.
