"The Wings of Lythia first appeared in a story written by the Guild Leader, Andy Evans, many years ago. That story has evolved and become an online comic on the website shared by the Guild. The Wings of Lythia were the Elite Warriors in the Kingdom of Lythia, so named for their Pegasus Stallion mounts. Led by the first in the Frogman Family Tree to aspire to greatness. After the Lythian Wars, the kingdom was in ruins, and Ralyk Frogman along with decendents of the original Wings were a reble strike force, fighting against Lythia's occupation. Eventually the Malikos' Forces were driven out and the Wings became the governing body of the now free Lythia.

Hundreds of years later in the time of Lucious Frogman, Lythia was in a state of Civil War and the Wings fought themselves for controle over Lythia, in this war, Lythia was reduced to ruins. Summoning the Gods to their aid, the Wings created Civil War in the Heavens too, destroying most of the rest of the world."

In order to incorperate this into the Guild Wars storyline, I added a few extras.

"There were 5 Gods who, refused to fight in the war in heaven, and once the world and the heavenlies were reduced to mist. The 5 Gods created a new world, and saved from the Old world the righteous souls that would then populate the New world. One of the ones saved was Lucious' Son, Gardeth. He was brought up as a pesants son, and for many generations that wasthe case, living in the shadows of Ascalon. Then after the Guild Wars, just before the Searing, Andii Lajos and his wife Kali, were murdered by roving bandits. Their son Samuel wanted revenge, and in his anger attacked and killed a few of the bandits, but was ultimatly futile. He ended up in the care of Mhenlo. Balthazar and Lyssa looked down upon Samuel and saw he had great inner strength and visited him while he was in the Abby in Ashford.

They told him that he was the decendant of a Warrior line from an Old World. They told him that he would struggle and suffer for the rest of his life, but it would not be in vain. He would raise up the Wings, and be the leader of a new Lythian Elite force. Then the searing struck, and Samuel decided to take up the calling. Lyssa granted him the power of the mind, and Balthazar embued him with amazing strength of will. Finally they handed him his ancestors cloak, baring the flag of the Wings of Lythia.

The New guild was born."

In true fulfillment of prophesy made years ago that Samuel Frogman would live through strife and hardships, the guild has been reduced to him and his wife, while they still persue righteosness in the eyes of the now Six Gods. Their strugles will continue through their proginy, until the Wings of Lythia will raise again from the fires of painful past of heartbreak and betrayal. Only time will tell what the next 200 years have to offer.

Recruitment

Recruitment is now for the most part, closed. As the guild has little to no chance to achieve anything as a whole with only a short time left. The guild only consists of two members at the moment, and will remain that way as all we are persuing is to get titles and achievments ready for Guild Wars 2. If anyone else has this drive, that all they are attempting is to develop their characters in readiness for GW2 then they are welcome to join us.

Recent Developments

As of the beginning of 2011, WoL is actively seeking like minded players who are attempting to gain as many HoM points as they can before GW2. We are seeking friendly casual players, who can help us and whom we can help achieve our mutual goal.

This goal includes:

  • Completion of all games in NM and HM
  • Zaishen Dailies
  • Nicholas Weeklies and Dailies (pre)
  • Elite Dungeons
  • Faction Farming
  • Eternal Defender of Ascalon (pre)

The Future of WoL

WoL will be remade in Guild Wars 2, and the players who sign up to WoL now in GW will be kept in the loop when GW2 is released. Experienced veteran players could easily find them selves elevated to higher ranks in the new GW2 Guild.
