Namespace

Any particular reason why the GWW namespace was chosen for this page instead of the main namespace? -- ab.er.rant 02:55, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

I chose it because it is a list that lists all entries within the Guild Wars Wiki - not all guilds that are in the game so the GWW namespace seemed more appropriate to me. But feel free to move if you like poke | talk 14:31, March 1, 2009 (UTC)

To me it depends on purpose; is the list for manageing the wiki or a resource for 'normal' users? Also, unrelated, could we not do this by DPL? THe wiki cries at the page size, and DPL would be autoupdated. Backsword 14:36, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

DPL is limited to 500 entries and that is the reason it was decided to do this manually. As to the namespace I'd say it's fine as it is. --Kakarot 14:40, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Also a lot guild page don't put their tag into the infobox but the header title; and when I made the list, I looked into both, so we get a lot more valid results than with DPL. poke | talk 14:56, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

This is a manually updated page. It's created by poke mostly as a maintenance page to check for guild pages that have not properly added their guild tag. -- Wyn talk 21:44, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

It's not a maintanance page.. It's more a list of guilds sorted by tag name.. The list has all guilds that have a valid tag set somewhere. poke | talk 21:47, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

Just did an update. If your guild has a valid tag it will automatically appear sooner or later. I put the list with invalid guilds here. poke | talk 21:57, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

It should probably be mentioned that your guild has to have an active page here. If not, use the F10 menu link for your guild name in game to create one. -- Wyn talk 22:18, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

From within the game, press F10 to open the Help panel. Then if you scroll down to the bottom, you have a "Guilds" section with all guilds from your alliance, your guild being the first displayed. Click on the guild and you'll be taken to the wiki with instructions on how to create a page for your guild. poke | talk 22:48, 2 July 2010 (UTC)

it's already on the list, but it directs people to the historical page, which has been deleted because i recently reformed the guild.
