shouldnt we sort of.... clean up this page? its full of red links Getefix 12:27, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Well basically 1 in 10000 of us knows how to raid the .dat file for the new tonic icons. If you feel upto doing that then go ahead :p otherwise create new pages and be BOLD? --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 12:30, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
arent all the icons the same? its what the birthday page says Getefix 12:33, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Yeh pretty sure all the icons are the thin red ones. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 12:35, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

6 years and...[edit]

still no Glint or Avatar of Dwayna, mini or tonic, thanks Anet. --Skekzyz 16:43, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Seeing as the Avatar of Dwayna has no animations outside of the one it plays when it appears, this wouldn't make much sense. She would just float around and look awkward. ♥ Tyloric ♣ 03:54, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Different forms?[edit]

Do any of these work similar to the Cottontail tonic, in that you can have two forms in one tonic? I had seen a note on the Prince Rurik one, but what I'm most curious about is whether or not the heroes have their alternate armor set(s). -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 17:56, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

I haven't had Jin show up in anything other than her default armor. Seems it may only be Kuunavang, Rurik and the Margonite tonics. That Sounds Risky | 18:08, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
I saw an anon edit that said the Destroyer tonic produced different forms as well (can't remember which page it was on). -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 18:09, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Party Points[edit]

Anyone else think they could've thrown us a bone and made these give even minimal points?NachosWitCheese 18:43, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

No, that's dumb. --71.203.216.241 19:19, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
That would be totally unfair and pointless. ♥ Tyloric ♣ 03:55, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Delete article?[edit]

There's no item called "Everlasting Birthday Tonic" in the game, and an overview of all the different tonics is given both at Tonic and at Birthday Present (in addition to the Tonics Nav). Does this article serve any purpose that the first two couldn't fulfill? And is it really appropriate to have an Item Infobox on a non-item article? Tub 19:44, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Proper Naming[edit]

Can anyone confirm whether each tonic is correctly named and includes the full name of each in-game. The ones that come to mind:

  • Everlasting Shiro Tagachi Tonic
  • Everlasting Margrid the Sly Tonic
  • Everlasting General Morgahn Tonic
  • Everlasting Acolyte Sousuke Tonic
Mora 20:42, 29 April 2011 (UTC)
Everlasting Morgahn Tonic is correct, I have one. If "Acolyte Jin" is correct, then I would expect "Acolyte Sousuke" to be correct as well (i.e. either they both have "Acolyte" or they both don't). 198.160.96.7 20:55, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

OMG[edit]

I needz pics for these--User:Ickoization 00:27, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Just look at the pages for the NPC, it's the same skin. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 01:00, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Request for Deletion[edit]

I agree with the deletion tag - this article simply restates what has already been said. Blue Clouded 04:32, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

I disagree on these accounts; Birthday Tonics & Everlasting Henchman Tonic. --Falconeye 04:43, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
The way I see it, we don't know what's going to happen with Birthday Tonics yet - they could make more, or some sort of cycle could be implemented. If the former happens, then I would agree on having a separate page, but if the latter occurs, then I'd fully support deleting this page; the Tonic page already lists the tonics there. Blue Clouded 05:02, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
The Henchman Tonics do not have separate articles per tonic, and they're rare enough that separate articles aren't really needed (and would only clutter the indexes for little gain). In this case we already have separate articles for each tonic as well as two (!) overview articles, so we really don't need a third overview article. Tub 07:53, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
I agree that it's redundant, but I'd rather see it turned into a redirect. -- FreedomBoundUser Freedom Bound Sig.png 12:10, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Since the Sixth Year Anniversary Celebration page has a link to this page, the content seems to have some kind of unofficial backing. If a page is deleted, where do links to it end up? --Nonsuch 21:20, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
Of course any links to this page would need to be changed to point to either Birthday Present or Tonic, whichever is more appropriate. The anniversary article links the words "Everlasting Tonic", so the proper target is Tonic anyway. Tub 23:43, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Make them Usable in PvP!!![edit]

These special tonics should be usable in pvp! 76.164.126.8 17:23, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

How about no. A lot of pvp relies on you being able to instantly assess the field at a glance and to know that you need to have a set of clear visual indicators so that you can at a glance see who is what profession, their positions on the field, what weapons and skills they are using, etc. Tonics obfuscate nearly all of these.
