So you are telling me there should be MANY different domains for every single language? Or should we just let people who doesn't understand english never get a easy answer to their problems? I just was trying to help GWW grow adding support to many languages Berekän (talk|contribs)

I understand where you're coming from, Berekän, and I sympathize with how you feel towards this issue. But's simply not in our control, the decision is not for us to take. ArenaNet runs this show, and ArenaNet wants to try the English wiki first, to see how it goes, whether it will be a success or a failure, whether it will increase their sales of GuildWars or be just a waste of money. They have said that maybe in the future there will be other wikis in other languages as well, but we don't know much else. There are a few pages with multilingual content, such as Localized skill names and Localized commands and emotes, but nothing more than that, and there won't be until ArenaNet says so, (and even then it will probably be a separate subdomain, such as es.wiki.guildwars.com or something, if it ever happens).

Members of the French and German wiki communities have brought up this issue before, but the answer has been the same: not yet. If you want to bring it up with ANet, maybe drop a message at User talk:Gaile Gray, but I doubt anything will come out of it. =\

I wonder if we could try to push for more localized pages like the above ones, to try and get more multi-lingual content on the wiki. I'll try to think of something practical, and hopefully post somewhere for the community to discuss by tonight. --Dirigible 06:07, 18 May 2007 (EDT)

I just was trying to help the spanish community translating it :) I think it's better to have only one Wiki with option to change the language than have many subdomains and wikis... Anyway, thanks for the answers Berekän (talk|contribs)

Mas importamente, ya tenemos todas esas picturas =P Even if we were going to post up pages in multiple languages, I'd rather we used the ones we already have, even if they do have English filenames. MisterPepe talk 12:39, 18 May 2007 (EDT)
