Talk:Spirit's Strength

Is it just me, or are these notes complete BS? This is in Spawning Power, and virtually useless without ranks in it. No sane Rit secondary would use this. Am I missing something? Arshay Duskbrow 00:34, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

I'll change the wording despite being obvious that only a primary Rit should be using it.--Bane of Worlds 02:57, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

Isn't this skill capturable in Bogroot Growths too? Minus 18:19, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Very low synergy with the other Spawning Power skills[edit]

Apart from Weapon of Renewal and Sight Beyond Sight there is nothing useful in the Spawning Power tree for a build with Spirit's Strength. - Weapon of Renewal just figures as a weapon spell, and is useless (grants 2 points of energy every 10 sec) and Sight Beyond Sight could be useful in some pvp scenarios, but its not much of an advantage. So with the lvl 12 Spawning Power one pays just the Spirit's Strength buff!

To create a proper build with Spirit's Strength one should invest attribute points in lots of lines:

  • the Spawning Power - the Elite buff Skill
  • the chosen Weapon Mastery attributes (daggers,bow,hammer...)
  • the stay-alive skill tree (restoration, etc)

The only way of energy manegemet is the zeal mod weapon, which is rather poor. So energy remains a great problem! Spaghetti 19:37, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Yea you pretty much just raise Spawning Power for Spirit Strength and maybe Sight beyond Sight, most people take 11 spawning power with +1+2(3), with 11(12) mastery weapon, and 8(6) for the weapon spell. Usual Weapon spells are Aggression(channeling), Vital(communing) or Resilient(restoration). Usually only the one that brings Resilient bothers to bring Wielders Boon as a self heal, and occasionally the Aggression will bring Wielders Strike. There are some builds that spreads the attributes even further to bring Weapon of Aggression and Wielders Boon or something similar, but its usually not recommended.

Also their 2nd class will usually have the Energy Management or simply not need it. As in Spirit Strength Warriors/Paragon can simply use adrenal skills for energy, while Assassin can use skills such as Golden Lotus. Spirit Strength does have trouble using expensive bow attacks without expertise however -added more- This skill needs MUCH less recharge, the only reason its not truly seen anywhere because of how frail it is to enchant removal and then your damage is gone for a VERY long time76.26.189.65 19:54, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Spirit siphon could also be used for energy management if you have an ally that creates spirits. Necromas 14:00, 20 March 2010 (UTC)

Anyone know if this works with illusionary weapon? I don't know how well it would work, but paired with a long duration rest weapon spell it might be ok.

No. What essentially happens is Spirit's Strength buffs the attack, Illusionary Weaponry negates the buffed attack, and then Illusionary Weaponry deals its own damage. Redly 17:25, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
thier both elites, so why does it matter? 76.26.189.65 07:55, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

Synergies[edit]

Warmongers Weapon doesn't have any synergy with this, compared to casting Warmongers on someone else, like an assassin, while keeping a longer duration weapon, like vital, on yourself. Unless you are using a quick attacking weapon with this, in which case Warmongers has synergy with that weapon, or IAS, both of which are mentioned on the page for Warmongers Weapon. StatMan 18:19, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Conjure (elementalist), on the other hand, isn't bad; 80 dmg wanding FTW. =P (Raine Valen 20:57, 16 August 2008 (UTC))

Hush now. Don't tell them. Don't tell them that Spirit Strength + Conjure Lightning + Communing stick and a few spirits (pain, shadowsong) and you got great range DPS. You only do about 30% more damage with a sword or dagger, because of the better attack speed (1.75/1.33), the range is very worth it, and you'll save attribute points. Besides, it isn't as obvious if you are wanding that you are using enchantments to boost your auto attack. StatMan 20:15, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
Unless youkeep hitting for ~70 damage, lol. Euphoracle 21:01, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
They'll think its the melees :D. Honestly, people don't notice you as much if you are wanding for 80+, and will often see "Ritualist" and try to shut down your spells. Occassionally, people do see what is happening and put blind or empathy on you. But my experience has been that I deal more damage with range than melee as a rit, because I can stay back, and it isn't as obvious I'm using my auto attack for damage. If you see a rit rush into melee with daggers, or a scythe, you know what is coming next. If you see a rit put a few spirits down, then wand you, you might think they are a spirit spammer. StatMan 03:55, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
How do i "auto attack" ? I tried to type in auto attack in wiki and didn't get results that helped me - I know 'R' for auto run - but I don't know how to auto attack. Ty for kind reply 98.255.39.225 Just being a noob - is there an auto attack key? Or do i just hit my space bar, and let the character swing - fire away? 98.255.39.225 19:22, 3 August 2010 (UTC)
Spacebar while selecting an enemy (by default). auto-attack usually just refers to your character's basic attack, no attack skills. FleshAndFaith 04:54, 3 September 2010 (UTC)

lol[edit]

Commonly used with Warmonger's Weapon or Weapon of Aggression in PvP to create a very powerful fighter. Because we all know just how awesomely leet a 60 AL tank is, amirite? --User Gah My Name Cant Fi Vow of Silence Gah Sig.jpg Gah 01:18, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Shields and armor insignia do not exist b.r // talk 01:41, 28 January 2009 (UTC)
Still can't make up for the 60 base armor. 98.235.101.46 03:29, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
60 + 8 + 15 = 83 base armor. Last time I checked that's more than everything except a gon and warrior. lrn2mths plz b.r // talk 13:49, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
Considering even gons and warriors can take insignias, and usually have a shield to increase their armor past 100, its still not enough. 98.235.101.46 21:42, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
Dervish and assassin have less than 83 armor unless they use insignias, or a armor mod, which I'm not sure how many do. You don't see people saying "Don't get in melee if you are a dervish/assassin." 80 armor is fine, it isn't tank grade, but 83 armor is a TON better than 60. I have tried this with about 80 armor, and there is a HUGE difference in survivability. StatMan 17:22, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I run this with full Ghostforge insignias and Resilient Weapon. 60 + 15 for being under a weapon spell + 24 if I'm conditioned/hexed, which is almost a guarantee. So a 99 armor (1/2 damage roughly) Ritualist hitting 35 extra damage per hit. And that's all non-secondary, you can add in any weapon type in the game you want to. Hell, have a real good time and use a Fire Damage Spawning staff, go /E and run Conjure Flame and Mark of Rodgort. What's more satisfying than hitting 80's (pew pew) and causing burning with a staff attack while tanking with a casting class? Not much, not much. PowerGamer 01:42, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
Shhhh. Don't tell them about stacking conjure with this, or using a ranged weapon. Someone might realize that you can wand people to death. I usually get about 70-75 I think with my wand with conjure + spirit. Since I don't play as much anymore, I'll write a little advice: conjure lightning > conjure fire, because you can put 9 in air, and bring blinding flash. You should have sufficient DPS from your rit skills, so MoR isn't as vital.StatMan 01:49, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
Nah, I already have points in resto, which has far cheaper, more effective blinds. PowerGamer 18:13, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

In pve, smite monk with Strength of HOnor, coupled with a Spirits strength rit using dagger attacks and asuran scan/i am the strongest. Like friggen shiro tagachi. Justice 01:01, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

anyone tried this+strength of honor+conjure for attacking with wands? prolly hitting like 80 right? need another monk tou.*calls for hero88.251.165.83 20:21, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

lol sryz looks like that was the thing u guys were talking abaut oO//need to learn to read lulz88.251.165.83 20:27, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

This Skill frickin OWNS[edit]

I love using this in JQ with a sin chain, kills pretty much anything. Use as a para and you can kill tons of shit, use as a caster with conjure and you kill tons of shit. Hell, with this skill I can carry a bow around and hit 40 to harass people without even BEING a ranger lol. It's like Asuran Scan but for pvp <3333333333 72.199.117.151 02:06, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

yeah its like asuran scan, except it's an enchantment and it has a hefty recharge and you're better off with a sin. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 78.20.146.253 (talk) at 13:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC).

Underrated[edit]

This skill is a consistently underrated elite imo, probably because people are usually prejudiced against weird multi-classing (until it appears on pvx). Weapon of aggression kills two birds with one stone since you need an ias to make this shine; weapons then can pound away like you were using uber attack skills with every hit (let alone what happens when it's used with an uber attack skill). It's worth noting as well that a ritualist starts out with the same armor base as a derv, can use a shield for at least 8 armor, and can maintain their weapon spell to grab another 15 armor from ghost-forged insignias... meaning your rit can be trotting around with *83* base armor even without worrying about shield attribute or using a warding mod. SS & WoA combined with Spear of Fury and Blazing Spear is a surreal beatdown that just rolls from one enemy to the next like they have no will to live. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 75.158.134.214 (talk • contribs) at 02:22, 19 August 2011 (UTC).

Uh...dervs have base 70 armor while rits have base 60. Just saying. 76.78.119.108 02:55, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Uh, do Dervs have an Insignia that grants them a 15 armor bonus with a 1/4 second activation weapon spell? Hm, didn't think so. 128.119.156.70 17:42, 1 November 2011 (UTC)

Doh, getting ahead of myself with halfshield (to 68) as part of 'base'... I stand corrected. Ghostforged + halfshield is *83*, weaponmod and shield points can run to 96. 75.158.134.214 06:53, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
