Echo Nukers are players using Arcane Echo or Echo to copy high damaging spells to double or even triple their power.


General principle[edit]

Echo Nukers are often monks or elementalists who use spells like Savannah Heat, Meteor Shower or Ray of Judgement , copy them and then cast them again. This way they can do massive AoE damage to a mob or boss. Arcane Echo is used with elite skills, for non elite skills, an Echo Chain can triple the spell doeing even more damage then an elite.

Basis[edit]

This build is based on a high damaging spell and Arcane Echo to cast before it. Arcane Echo will be replaced with that spell for 20 seconds. Most of the spells will be found in one of the elementalist' attributes. Although Ray of Judgement is quite popular too.

The major drawback is the energy cost. Since most of the elite AoE spells will cost 15 energy and Arcane Echo costs the same, a nuker can consume 45 energy in matter of seconds. An elementalist can handle this with Glyph of Lesser Energy and an attunement but a monk with Roj needs to have 45 energy too. After he casts his second, he wont have much energy left to use. Thats why his side skills will be some signets and low energy spells.

After the spell is copied, the copy can be used in differend ways.

  • You can use it right after the original on the same foe to double the damage
  • You can cast it on a other foe to double the area it hits
  • Or you can save it a few seconds to use it later.

Another way is to use the Echo Chain and use Arcane Echo and Echo to copy a non elite spell twice. This way the spell can be used three times. With three powerfull spells you can deal massive damage or cause a lot of Knockdowns with Meteor Shower. It works the same as the first, yust cast echo before you use the copied version from arcane echo.

Since it works the same the drawback is also the same: 20 energy + 3 times the energy cost of the spell. This wil result in 50 energy for a 10 energy spell and even 95 for meteor shower. Only elementalists have that amount of energy and they have the bests spells for this too: high impact AoE spells like Fire Storm, Breath of Fire, Searing Heat, ...

Side Skills[edit]

Echo Nuking only uses 2 or 3 skills so the rest of the bar can be filled with a lot of skills. However, decend energy management is needed. Elementalists can use glyph of lesser energy and attunements and fill up the rest with some normal spells. Monk often fill their bar with Bane Signet, Castigation Signet or Spear of Light so they can use all of the energy they have on Roj.

Battle Behavior[edit]

Nukers have heavy AoE damage and that's best used against mobs. Mob control is important, as the more foes you hit, the more you kill. A tanker can help to keep them thight and easy to control.

PvE[edit]

Most mobs will be found in PvE and Nukers are mostly found here. They can greatly help partys to destroy lots of foes who would be overwhelming if not taking care off. They can also farm some things faster than others.

PvP[edit]

Nukers are rare in pvp forms like RA and GvG. In matches like JQ or AB where Quarries or control points need to be captured they can come in handy.
