ATFH Speedclearing[edit]

This build is used to run A Time For Heroes (ATFH) quickly and successfully with only three monk heroes. There are many working variations, but I find this to be the most reliable as the random spawn of 1-2 Destroyer of Deeds pose no threat (aside from increasing the time it takes to kill The Great Destroyer). Can be done in both Normal Mode and Hard Mode.

Player Build[edit]

Armor & Weapons[edit]

Usage[edit]

Upon entering the mission be sure you have your Delver title active so you're under the effects of Stout-Hearted. Cast Live Vicariously on yourself. Cast all the heroes bonds on yourself (see hero section for more information). Run to the edge of the lava and flag your heroes in the shadowy area before the lava. Have your Mo/P use Enduring Harmony on you followed by "Fall Back!", use "I Am Unstoppable!" and run to The Great Destroyer. Use Way of the Assassin followed by Ebon Battle Standard of Honor once you reach it (do not recast Ebon Battle Standard of Honor during the battle if a Destroyer of Hope spawns as Soul Leech will kill you). Abuse your dagger attack chain. Use "You Move Like a Dwarf!" to interrupt Lava Wave. Renew "I Am Unstoppable!" and Way of the Assassin if needed. Micro Order of Pain on your heroes for more DPS. Have fun!

Variations[edit]

Usage[edit]

Similar to the Assassin/Monk variant, but with different damage skills. Maintain Flail throughout the fight.

While fighting The Great Destroyer, maintain Expert's Dexterity (for IAS) and Grenth's Fingers (for cold damage). Spam Radiant Scythe for energy and Aura of Thorns for bleed. Mystic Regeneration is your heal, keep it up! Do note that Destroyers of Deeds can interrupt Mystic Regeneration as it has a 1/4 second cast time.

Monk[edit]

Armor & Weapons[edit]
Usage[edit]

Same as the Assassin / Monk variant, but slightly slower.

Necromancer (Trial)[edit]

Armor & Weapons[edit]
Usage[edit]

Elementalist (Trial)[edit]

Hero Builds[edit]

Monk/Necromancer Bonder#1[edit]

Armor & Weapons[edit]

  • Full Radiant Insignias would help, but are not required.
  • Superior Rune of Smiting Prayers
  • Superior Rune of Protection Prayers (attach to headpiece)
  • Superior Rune of Divine Favor
  • A couple Runes of Attunement would help, but are not required.
  • Bellok's Staff or similar would help, but not required.

Usage[edit]

Disable (Shift + click) all the bonds (skills 1-4). Upon entering the mission, cast Protective Bond, Essence Bond, Strength of Honor, and Balthazar's Spirit on yourself, not the hero (to do this target yourself and micro the hero's skill). Flag the hero in the shadowy area before the lava. Micro Order of Pain for more DPS, but be sure not to self-sacrifice the hero or you'll lose bonds and likely die.

Monk/Necromancer Bonder#2[edit]

  • Superior Rune of Protection Prayers (attach to headpiece)
  • Superior Rune of Divine Favor
  • A few Runes of Attunement would help, but are not required.
  • Bellok's Staff or similar would help, but not required.

Usage[edit]

Disable (Shift + click) all the bonds (skills 1-4). Upon entering the mission, cast Protective Bond, Essence Bond, Mending, and Succor on yourself, not the hero (to do this target yourself and micro the hero's skill). Flag the hero in the shadowy area before the lava. Micro Order of Pain for more DPS, but be sure not to self-sacrifice the hero or you'll lose bonds and likely die.

Monk/Paragon Bonder[edit]

Armor & Weapons[edit]

Usage[edit]

Disable (Shift + click) all the bonds (skills 1-4). Upon entering the mission, cast Protective Bond, Essence Bond, Watchful Spirit, and Life Barrier on yourself, not the hero (to do this target yourself and micro the hero's skill). Flag the hero in the shadowy area before the lava. When you're ready to run to The Great Destroyer, use Enduring Harmony on yourself followed by "Fall Back!".

Note: Use Life Barrier after Protective Bond.

Notes/Tips[edit]

  • Run other people and impress them!
  • During days that the Zaishen Mission is ATFH you can make a decent amount of money in tips.
