Nabelung was born in Mihanu Township, in Vabbi to a dervish and a monk. Nabelung's family were worshippers of Balthazar for generations and she was next in line. Throughout her childhood, Nabelung and her nation were harrassed by Kournan forces. It was on that fateful month where the Sunspears managed to fight the Kournans and end the threat of Nightfall and Abbadons supremacy. However, in doing that, they had unleashed Palawa Joko. He was left to do anything he wanted and in a short amount of time, Palawa had attacked small towns on the edge of Vabbi. Nabelung's father and mother were killed by foul skeletons but Nabelung managed to flee Vabbi with her grandmother to the mountains in the central area of Elona. Nabelung and her grandmother hid for several days. A Sunspear party rescued them and brought them to the Sanctuary where they managed to escape through Venta Cemetery. Once in Istan, Nabelung left her grandmother in safety and vowed to get help to fight the Undead. She got a ride on a boat travelling to Cantha. This is where the rest of her life begins...

Story

Nabelung got off the boat in Kaineng Docks and stepped onto the hard, wet cobbles. An elderly man in expensive, blue clothing stepped forward to greet her. "Nabelung Kapera I gather?" he said. Nabelung raised an eye. "How do you know my name?" she questioned. "The Celestial Ministry has papers and documents from around the world in our HQ. I know we've only just met Nabelung, can I call you Nab? Anyway, Nab, we have a job for you. There's this rebel group. Well, not a rebel group, more of a nation. A nation of heretics. They believe in this one true god. Kashga. We need your help to take this nation down. I know you'll say yes, so I've already paired you off with one of our agents. He's called Iphus." A towering man walked out of the shadows. His armor gleamed silver as the sunlight hit him. He pulled out his hand to shake Nabelung's. "I hope working will you will put you into bloody Canthan discipline. Unlike your Elonian brethren who prance about sending Nightfall about each other, we fight hard and dirty here. So don't expect any special treatment". The minister turned to Iphus. "Come now Iphus, we need to get the rest of the squad ready". As they turned away, she heard the minister say "Nabelung, come to Kaineng Centre in 3 hours, you'll be briefed and greeted more *ahem* formally". As they walked away, Nabelung cried out "I've only come to get allies to help me fight in Elona!" She paused and said to herself "...oh goody, I'm now in a strange land fighting a war against a nation I didn't even know existed until 3 minutes ago". She shrugged and walked out of the docks into her new life.
