adding buttions to pets

how hard would it be to add a target button? and then change how they act to act like heros?Talk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet.06:41, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Pet#Controls? We already have a "lock target" button... WhyUser talk:Why Are We Fighting 07:56, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
no see why i want pets to act like heros so when i put them on attack they are aggressive and are not locked on to one target. and i want a separate button to make it so i can lock them on a target. because how its set up right now you cant have a pet just attack you have to attack something first and thats super annoying.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet. 21:59, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree with you Zesbeer. It is annoying.~Mervil User Mervil Sig.png 01:02, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Hmmmmmm, this sort of sounds like a suggestion, but from a purely code perspective, it's always hard to add new buttons (and by 'hard', I mean 'annoying') and different 'modes' for the AI, but it's easy to change existing stuff. Do you feel like pets should always attack the way heroes on aggressive settings do, attacking anything that attacks the party, or do you want them to wait for you to go in sometimes? - Joe Kimmes Talk Page‎ 18:05, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
It looks like this was flagged as a suggestion while I was typing up my response - I'll defer to that, so please don't reply. =| - Joe Kimmes Talk Page‎ 18:06, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
/yawn i love how my question turns into a suggestion and that wyn has the final say about what is a question and what is a suggestion. yes in the long run i want to make this into a suggestion but i want to find out if its possible or something they would do. i also release this idea to anet, to use and do what ever they want with.--Talk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet. 20:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
This "it's a suggestion" nonsense needs to stop. What was raised was a question not a suggestion. To whomever added the tag: I dispute it and recommend you think before adding in a tag. 000.00.00.00 02:45, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

The original question was fine, it was when people started talking about why they want this change etc, it then becomes a suggestion, not a code question. So it's not so much me that needs to think before I post, it's the rest of you who are doing everything you can to veil your wish list suggestions as "questions", and just be patient until the licensing issues are resolved. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 11:07, 10 May 2009 (UTC)

Question

i am just wondering if its possible to make it so pets have the same buttons as heroes and in turn act like heroes so when i have a pet on guard they attack whom ever is attacking us, and when i have them on attack they attack everything just like heroes and then add another button so (the same one heroes have) that will let me lock on to one target. is this possible via code? --Talk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet. 20:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

as i can see that wyn just copy and pasted your response from above this question is different because i don't want you to make a new button but rather reuse an existing one and then change the functionality of the other 3 to match that of heros. so pets little window looked something like this User Zesbeer Example.jpg sorry for how shanty the image is i just made it really quickTalk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet.23:15, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
How does that make it any less of a suggestion... "I just want you to..." Misery 06:09, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
im not suggesting that he do it im asking if its possible. ill suggest it when this stupid stupid thing with copyright laws is resolved. also i realse this idea to for anyone to use.Talk Page‎ Zesbeer This user's suggestions on the game can be freely used by ArenaNet.06:19, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
